Empire Tavern

The easiest 5 stars I have ever given. Our jaws dropped upon seeing and tasting both our mains (lamb rump and pork belly) and desserts (apple crumble and brownie sundae). The food and service far exceeded our expectations. Empire Tavern is part of the Star Group, and you can get great deals like the Monday 2for1 mains we used simply by downloading their app. However, my friend and I would happily pay full price for these mains in future, and we decided to order dessert based on their quality and were so glad we did. I can't think of a single thing that could be improved. Thank you to the waitstaff and kitchen team who made our night one to remember and hopefully repeat again soon! Everyone should try this surprising gem in the CBD, which had a lovely positive and peaceful vibe on a Monday evening and no doubt has something great to offer any night of the week.

Very chill place to go and grab some grub. Drinks were very good with the perfect alcohol ratio. The mozzy sticks were very crispy and delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection but lacked a bit of seasoning. Would have to add some salt and pepper to it but the fries were really nice. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely come back.

Food was amazing, portion sizes are very generous and the staff are lovely. Salmon was so fresh and the steak was a perfect cook. Also thanks to our waitress Pia! 🙂

Amazing place. I chatted with the manager, and she is making some changes. I can't wait to go back and see what they do. Their breakfast menu is delicious and incredible for the price, and the cocktails are fantastic and cheap. They have a cool atmosphere; they even have a DJ. The staff were lovely and friendly, making the experience more enjoyable.

Achtung: Im Caesar Salad sind Fische drin! Für jemanden, der aus Europa kommt und bereits in vielen Ländern der Welt leckeren „normalen" Caesar Salad gegessen hat, sehr befremdlich und für mich leider ungenießbar … auf Nachfrage bei einer der Servicekräfte wurde ich abgewimmelt, dass das „auf der ganzen Welt" so serviert werde. Hier ist das wohl so, schade einfach, dass der Fisch in der Karte nicht angegeben ist - mir ist der Appetit vergangen, sehr wenig touristenfreundlich und war ein teurer Salat für die Tonne.

It was a really nice café. I’m glad I could visit it early in the morning. I ordered from the breakfast menu(Bacon bap w/egg, Cappuccino $12), but next time I want to try the main menu during another time of day. Right now, I’m really craving steak. The staff was friendly and very polite.

Went to try the Saturday brunch menu. We had a variety of items including a couple of cocktails, the vegemate and the empire stack. Food portions were huge for the price - especially the empire stack - the pork was delicious! Atmosphere was lovely. Lovely big and clean courtyard. The staff were so friendly! Victoria the manager made us feel so at home. Will be going again
