Humphreys Landscaping

In less than 3 days, our neglected front yard in Mt Eden was transformed by the team at Humphreys. It is now a lovely green oasis, with native plants carefully chosen and surrounded with plenty of mulch. Our garden bench was given a new spot in the sun under a little-used pergola, with new pavers to rest on. Beautiful, careful work; thoughtful clean-up. A garden to enjoy!

Dear Humphreys Landscaping, I did not feel any sincerity from your reply. I was so shocked by your response. Did you want to clarify a few points? that your team including management made numerous efforts to communicate? how interesting, because I must be loosing my memories here. There were number of times I emailed, texted to see when your lawn guy was coming, or when they were going to fix the crazy paving because they did not do the job properly that I hurt myself walking those steps because it was not even, that 30% of plants were dying because it was not planted properly and that you guys did not much in time, I emailed and texted the person in charge, but did not get it fixed so we had to get a another contractor to fix the crazy paving. And we found out later that the lawn team had a new team manager so had to start again. At no point did you "walk away" without notice? I texted and emailed lawn people multiple times to see where they are at? only to hear that at the end, I got the final text to notify me that "we have come to an end of our after care visit?" I have many emails and texts from various teams involved in our projects that say otherwise. I also have an email from Humphreys Landscape CEO himself "I again apologize that we have not been able to complete our work to a satisfactory standard." "We anticipate that the lawn will be looking good for a handover to you by mid-February. Please be rest assured that we will be there until it is looking right." From that email, I trusted him and paid even more money to complete your guy's work only to find out that I still had to email and text to make sure your team was coming to do the service. But when I finally got a text from the lawn care team manager that "we have come to the end of agreed after care " I lost total trust and gave up on your company and decided to leave this review. I really trusted your company CEO's sincere email, and trusted he will make sure our lawn will be looking right, and that you guys will be there till it is looking right! Now I have a quote from a different lawn company and the quote is around $75,000 to fix the lawn. What kind of standard is this from your point of view?? So yeah you can respectfully disagree with some points raised. But I respectfully and sincerely disagree with your disagreement and I have many documents to show to anybody If I need to! I have no reason to lie and leave this kind of review to anybody. I just don't want other people to have to go through what we went through. Money as well as emotional stress is what I hope other people can avoid. Below is what I wrote originally : Empty assurances and promises from the owner himself as well as staff. We had them come out to do our dream house landscaping as well as a huge lawn area. They planted a lot of plants which died because they did not plant them properly, did not mulch them in time. Our lawn which was promised to be flat/easy care now is lumpy and nothing but easy to take care after three months of completing them. We had another contractors come out to give us a quote to redo their work and is going to cost us a lot of $$$$$ We are so disappointed with their work. They maybe good at small gardens, but if you have a big landscape project please do not go with Humphreys Landscaping. They take your money and keep promising to deliver but one day they stop their care and say that is the end of their service and do not turn up anymore. We did get some money back for dead plants but 1) it should not have happened to at all. 2) they did not cover the labor costs for it. Lawn, Garden bed, Paving - we had to do them all again by ourselves at our cost. Owner and lawn division said they will fix the lawn to the standard but they just stopped one day. We now have to spent a lot more money to redo their work.

We are so happy about Humphreys because of so many reasons. 1) Jay and Ollie cared their jobs. We are so impressed by their thorough work on our garden. 2) They are always on time and reliable. I can talk more but I will make it short!! Thank you so much!!! 🙂

Thank you, Alfonso and Juan, for doing a great job tidying up our garden. Our hedges and trees look amazing. You both worked really hard and knew exactly what to do to make things look nice. Gardens were fertilised as needed and trimmings were all cleaned up. You both dealt with an inquisitive dog, really well . We look forward to next time knowing our gardens will continue to look great. Awesome team effort guys!!! Thanks so much.

We had Humpreys re-design our front garden and put in a fence and re-do our drive. We had Jay and Jack on site with us most days and found them to be polite and a delight to chat to with informative updates. The Humpreys service is on the expensive side but it’s absolutely seamless, insanely high quality design and finish - we are over the moon with our garden, fence and drive. The project is managed efficiently and effectively and there’s no pissing about. Unfortunately, we left the guys with a key to use the loo and they left the key in the front door (nothing taken) but the only reason for four stars. The job itself is absolutely five star, top notch service and the team is really amazing to deal with. We largely went with the design that was provided and plantings and absolutely love it. Big thank you to Jeremy, Paul, Simon, Jay and Jack. We loved working with you guys and are over the moon with our results, top job!! See pics for before and after(s)

Josh and a colleague came yesterday to carry out garden maintenance and I wish to state we were very pleased with their work. They carried heavy items away and left the garden looking so much better. An added bonus was that Josh has a very personable attitude and was extremely efficient and knowledgeable.
