Four of us just returned from a 3 week trip to the North and South Islands of New Zealand . First I must mention what a beautiful country New Zealand is, from its breathtaking landscapes ,the vibrancy of the communities and the friendliness and warmth of the people. Learning about the Maori culture was a highlight of the trip.
While researching travel agencies I settled on First Light Travel.It was important to me to use the expertise of a local agency if possible . First Light Travel more than exceeded our expectations. I worked with Marcella Johnson. She was very professional, available when needed, and very instrumental in helping me set up our itinerary. She worked well within my budget. We chose to have private drivers on each island which made it possible to concentrate on just having fun without having to worry about the logistics of driving . Not only did they drive us from one place to another ,they made sure to recommend scenic stops, as well as places for lunch they thought would be of interest to us. Everything went off without a hitch. The hotels, as well as the tours she arranged were exceptional. Marcella helped us to choose activities that met all of our needs.
I (and my family) would highly recommend a trip to New Zealand, and in order to have the best experience possible you should contact First Light Travel.

Recently returned from a fabulous trip to New Zealand. We chose First Light Travel to put together our trip, as they had great reviews. Marcella did a great job working with us to include as many nature related experiences as possible and advised us on best time of year to travel. In all, we spent about 5 weeks visiting both islands. This included a two day trip to Stewart Island staying in a beautiful Boutique Lodge. Probably the best holiday we have ever had. We loved New Zealand; the people; the food; the cities and the wonderful scenery. Great variety in what we saw and the time spent in each location suited us well. We had the best all day tour, a tour of Auckland City in the morning with multiple interesting stops. Donna was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of NZ including the Maori people who settled this place. Lunch was great and a trip to Piha beach capped off a wonderful day seeing beautiful sights. I highly recommend this tour and Donna especially!

This is an awesome tour company. We were picked up on time by the owner Neill, and did a tour of Auckland city. He is very knowledgeable and safe driver putting customers a priority in everything.

We had a second full day tour to HobbiTon and Waitomo glow worm caves and our driver was Julia. Again a very safe and knowledgeable driver putting the comfort and desires of the customer a priority.

We absolutely LOVED our trip to Hamilton Gardens with Andrew Curtis! His enthusiasm and knowledge was unmatched, and we really think he enjoyed it as much as we did. He even made a stop at a fruit stand for us because I wanted to taste feijoa, a tasty fruit that tastes like guava and pineapple. We also stopped by the Maori queen’s home, as well as the cemetery for Maori rulers.What a special day we had at these impressive gardens composed of 22 individual and unique spaces complete with impressive architectural backdrops. We highly recommend this as a day trip from Auckland through the lovely Waikato River region, especially with Andrew Curtis’s expertise and enthusiasm.

Time Unlimited was amazing! We researched tour providers thoroughly for months, and we are so glad we went with Time! It’s a family business and they aren’t afraid of challenges.

About 5 days into our cruise my dad decided he REALLY wanted to play golf in New Zealand. With less than 48 hours notice, Ceillhe made it happen, including transportation, tee times, and golf club rentals. Not only that, but my mother absolutely wanted to see the glow worm caves, even though she has some mobility challenges. Time Unlimited found us the only cave in New Zealand completely wheelchair accessible. It was amazing!

We scheduled two days worth of tours, and although the weather wasn’t fantastic for the first day they still went above and beyond to try to make it perfect. (Special shoutout to the young “intern” – you know who you are!)

Thank you again Ceillhe, Chantell, and the rest of the family for making our once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand absolutely WONDERFUL!
