This is still a great school! Especially finishing 8 years in this school, the education system here is great and sports too, trying to push the boys to their limits of their imagination and physical health. If you are considering putting your son here especially if you are going to continue his studies in the college this is definitely the best place to start!
and worthwhile life, it sucked my soul and spirit dry. They demanded that I be overly compliant, unwilling to take risks for fear of ridicule (from staff, as much as students), and unsafe to show any weakness or individuality or personality. Those that could live up to the outward expectations, were excused their behind-the-scenes bullying cheating and back-stabbing. The state-run schools that I attended prior and subsequent, were far better preparation for adulthood

the teachers are ok and some aren’t so great, we spend most time being growled at and staying in for recess because some learners couldn’t clean their own mess. trust me, you do not want to enrol unless you want to bare 6 hours with a teacher yelling at you non-stop.
the education isn’t as bad, most students seem to be over the new zealand standard and are doing well, they also have extracurriculars for the students who students who need support and the students who are beyond the nz mean. which adds a star.
the principal is quite cool, and he loves spending time with the children, and i respect that. although he can be a little.. 2016 vine musically style he still does his best to make the kids enjoy this school. which adds a star.
the school system is quite creative, with authentic and original qualities such as the 4 vision principles, collaborative, capable, connected, and curious.
