I joined Educatum 5 years ago and since then the team has helped me immensely in developing my mathematical skills and increasing my enjoyment for the subject. Since joining Educatum my grades have improved significantly as the team works well on clearing doubts and putting the students needs first. Foram sir truly cares about the students and their requirements and he works very hard to help us improve our weaknesses. So pleased we decided to put our daughter in maths tutoring at Kip McGrath Stonefields. Mari is a pleasure to deal with and always shares in my excitement at my daughter’s test results. Dear Extraordinary Kids
As an immigrant mother, not raised with the New Zealand curriculum, it is very difficult for me to guide my daughters through their academic life.
Late last year, I asked Yvette to assist me, to get my girls maths levels up to standard. She quickly jumped into action, got me the correct books and guided me on what to do. We applied it through the Dec./Jan. holidays with hard work and dedication.
At the end of term 1 parents meetings, it proofed to have worked. Both my girls have improved vastly in their maths abilities and there has been a big shift in attitude. They seem to enjoy it, because “it is not hard anymore”. They understand the benefit of maths in the world we live in.
Other maths institutions showed me away and said it is to late in the year to assist, but Yvette understood, I wanted to get them ready for the new school year and it worked! They love going to the classes every week and very excited when they concurred the problems.

My son has been attending Extraordinary Kids after his reading and writing were falling behind at school. As a 6 year old he attended Extraordinary Kids for 9 months and we saw little progress in his literacy skills; he was resistant to learning but at the same time a learning strategy could not be found that connected with him. As a 9 year old he returned to Extraordinary Kids after his school teacher had put in extra effort to overcome the major hurdle of learning to sound out words, and after he was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia. This time the experience has been much more positive, mainly due to his willingness to do the work assigned but also due to Yvette’s active involvement with teaching. We are now seeing progress with his reading and writing, for which we are appreciative. Importantly, our son really enjoys going to Extraordinary Kids and he has said it “makes learning easier than at school”, and “helps him to work out how to say the words”.

We’ve had an incredible experience with Kip McGrath Howick for our 11-year-old son’s maths education. We did two terms at Number works and words for English . My son dreaded writing at one point which drew me towards researching options available. Number works was recommended to me by one of my friends and I must say I could have never been happier of my decision. Now my 7 year old has developed a joy in writing, his spelling , punctuation, grammar everything has improved drastically . All the tutors and the managers Ranjeeta and Amitesh are super friendly and they are really dedicated to the cause. In fact when my son was done with his English and I would get late in picking him up he would often get free Math tricks from Amitesh. These are the kind of educators you need in this era who truly connect to their students . My 7 year old was meeting the standards at school. No problems were brought to my attention. However…. she kept coming home in tears about math’s. It became such an issue she didn’t want to go to school.
I brought it up with the teachers. Nothing. No clue.
I took her in for an assessment and while she was doing the test I noticed and my heart broke. She was obviously struggling. I saw it with my own eyes! I didn’t even need them to tell me.
The team at Numberworks were so caring and reassuring. They came up with a plan and she has absolutely been loving it and now has the confidence to go to school which makes bedtimes and mornings so much easier!
