I visited the Sylvia Park store yesterday, arriving 15 minutes before closing. I was thrilled to finally find the shoes I’d been eyeing for a long time. I picked up a size 8, even though I’m usually a size 9 and found they actually fit quite well. Just to be sure, I queued at the counter and asked if they also had a size 9 available, as I wanted to compare both. I spoke to a team member near the counter, who communicated through her headset to request both sizes 8 and 9. After a delay, she decided to check the storage area herself and asked someone else to assist in retrieving the sizes. By the time they returned (well past 7pm and technically after closing), they had only brought out size 9. I reminded them I had requested both sizes. The staff then informed me they couldn’t go back to get the size 8 because the store was now closed and they would need manager approval, which honestly felt like a convenient excuse not to help further. I explained again that I live in West Auckland and had made a specific trip, so it was disappointing that they weren’t willing to accommodate. The overall attitude was far from helpful. Just as we were leaving, I spotted the same staff member I had initially spoken to, and fortunately she was with the store manager. She asked two other team members to retrieve the size 8, which they finally did after I tried asking them first. In the end, I got the shoes that I wanted, but the experience left a really sour impression. It felt like the team weren’t interested in helping me make a purchase. I left feeling more like a burden than a valued customer.

Seriously whoever is working back of house check your stuff before sending it out mate. The location it was sent out from was yours, the courier had trouble releasing my damn shoes cause it was half arsed printed. (Front of house staff yall algood)

Can’t believe this shop doesn’t have more stars! The staff in here are so professional, hardworking and polite. It was chaotic due to end of year sales but we were still made to feel well cared for, not just by floor staff but also cashiers. Congratulations on amazing customer service! You guys stand out for your approach to your customers and we were really impressed!!

Irresponsible staff forgot to remove the electronic security tag off the clothes. I am shocked surprised it didn’t even beep once we got out of the shop. We only realized the tag once we reached home crazy. Waste of time and energy money to get back to the store the next day and then even had to wait for the manager for 15mins to resolve the issue. Crazy!!

Worst shopping experience ever! We went to buy two pairs shoes on 2 January, and when staff ask us do we want to buy shoe protect spray, we said no. But when we got home found spray in the bag and charged $35 dollars. We live in east Auckland so decided return it when we get time, 5 January finally we have time to go to the shop try to return it, but one blond hair, about 160cm tall manager said she can’t have it returned or refund as term and conditions show on receipt(which has been hidden in a long paragraph sentence), I said to her I know I had some responsibility for this we did check when we make the payment, I do accept store credit so I can use for other things in the store but still rejected by her. She also said if I am no leaving the store she will have security guy come and get me out. I ask her name, she said she don’t need to give her name, not even first name, I asked for a letter that stated i have been here and shop don’t accept returns for this item, she refused as well, only thing she give me is an email address. Also the way she talks like a big bully in the school, I have never been treated like I am a criminals. Worst experience ever!

I was never a big Fan of JD sports because of garbage customer service & sky rocket prices. BUT Ishbah changed my narrative. She is a beautiful human being & possesses outstanding customer handling skills. She deserves a big pat on her back. I would also like to give shout out to Moana & Anna, they both are friendly & smiling assassins. I did my first purchase & happy with it.

Waited a very long queue to get served but was told at the counter that only manager could handle the returns. I waited for another 20mins for the "manager" to get back from her break. This so called manager Amy came back with an attitude. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I specifically told her I wanna refund and rebuy the same pair as they have a further 20% off deal right now. She proceeded the refund and afterwards she refused to sell me again straight away, she made some excuses and said I need to come back for it tomorrow?! I could tell that she was trying to make my request difficult on purpose. It’s a shame that company has such bad after-sale service and put this kind of person on manager position! Managers are supposed to help customers to solve the problem not to make one!
