Best Tandoori burger. If you are craving for Flavouful juicy chicken then you must try this.
Lokesh Neelam (☆ 5/5)

We tried the chicken tikka, smashed chicken, smashed veg and the fries. The food was delicious but the spice level was off the charts. I certainly consider myself someone who can eat a good amount of spicy food – while the spice was tolerable for me but certainly not recommend for kids or those who can’t have spice. Would have preferred fries to be plain to bring some sanity but the fries were again way too spicy.
Delicious food but spice level needs a serious thought. Would love it again only if the spice level can be a thoughtful option
Manish Chhetri (☆ 4/5)

Flashing lights attracted me to this little corner shop and the service didn’t disappoint. We were on our way to the airport and the owner delivered impeccable, quick service with a smile.
The chips? OMG Best seasoning ever. Slightly spicy but not overbearing, and crispy! I love thin chips and I’ve found my new favorite chip spot.
Plenty of vegetarian options and Indian fusion choices. Super unique.
We ate for 2 people sharing fries for $33 what a deal! Will be back.
Danika Ciullo (☆ 5/5)

Definitely coming back! So cheap and filling. Burgers were stacked full of flavour and I felt like I got more than my moneys worth. Chips were amazing! Also lots of options for veg and non veg. Honestly can’t fault anything. Cheap, tasty and great service. Keep it up!
Hiran Mistry (☆ 5/5)

Good service and great food beef super smash burger was awesome and full of flavor as were the fries and curly fries just awesome will definitely be back for more
Waltz Teaurima (☆ 5/5)

Burger was so yummy especially chicken tikka and paneer masala.
There are many limited options in vegetarian burger but eat love repeat gives so many varieties with loving test.
I love this place and all the burgers.
Thank you so much for giving Indian test in burgers.
priya patel (☆ 5/5)

They sell one of the yummiest burgers. Catering to our Indian taste buds even their Med spice level is so I like to stick to Mild. All their burgers are fab and if I have to choose then it would be their Paneer burgers not only because it’s rare to findbut also because the paneer they use in it is so soft. If you craving some street style burgers this is the place one should must visit once hope they don’t degrade their taste or services

Customer Reviews
I visited The Rolling Pin today for lunch and opted for the Buddha Vegan Dumplings. At $16 for six pieces, I found them a bit pricey given their size. The taste was average, and I felt the accompanying sauces could have been more flavorful to enhance the overall experience. However, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, which added a positive touch to the visit. While the service was commendable, I believe there’s room for improvement in the dish’s flavor profile and value for money
Palak Matharu (☆ 4/5)

These were the best vegan dumplings I’ve ever had! The service and atmosphere were very welcoming, making it a pure pleasure even when dining alone. The Buddha’s Delight Dumplings were incredibly delicious and juicy.
I’ll definitely be coming back!
Today 07.01.2025 was my last visit to this location as I’m leaving New Zealand. I treated myself to two meals—one for now and one for tomorrow. For the first time, I tried the vegan version of Beijing Zha Jiang. Oh my days, how delicious was that!
Super soft, a mix of incredibly tasty ingredients—I even had to double-check if it was really vegan. Simply amazing!
10/5 stars!
The staff is also super sweet, and I really enjoyed coming here.
Thank you for this unforgettable experience. I’ll do my best to recreate this recipe at home!
Juan Sanchez (☆ 5/5)

Quick, fast, exceptional food with many vegan options. I highly recommend the dumplings and noodle salad. I think I’ve been here 6 times in 2 weeks and here for 1 more week. Must try!
Alan Toloza (☆ 5/5)

I was excited to try this place near to my new workplace, I did have a quick look at reviews and most looked positive and at a 4.7 out of 5 review score, I had decent expectations. However, I was so disappointed. I got the penang dumplings, the dumpling wrapper was thick and gluggy, the filling was minimal but what was there was bland. It was also freezing cold, maybe I missed something and they are supposed to be cold? I am so disappointed, $18 for that was a waste of money. The slaw was nice though. I threw most of it in the bin. I won’t be back.
Sarah Flood (☆ 2/5)

Whenever I travel to Auckland, I end up eating here multiple times. I think their vegan dumplings rival anyone’s.
Marshall Fong (☆ 5/5)

Good value, delicious and healthy. If I lived around here I’d get this often. Nice tables to sit outside at if the weather is nice. Was prepared very quickly and friendly service. I got the sichuan beef bowl, spicy. I like quite spicy food and the spicy was enough for me.
Matthew Williams (☆ 5/5)

What a taste sensation. And healthy option for take away.
We are from Melbourne being food snobs, we were super impressed by The Rolling Pin.
Had the dumplings and slaw Tsingtao. The dumplings were full of flavour and filling.
Also had the Noodle Salad Bowl Sichuan option. This was my favourite. Beef was tender and the mix of fresh vegetables went together perfectly.

Absolutely wow! Staff are friendly, drink combinations are great and the food is out of this world. And the Chimichurri is absolutely great ! Heaps of seating and nice open and airy atmoshere. We had the Volvere and Playera Arepas and it was great! We also had fried chicken and chips( which was also great).Bathrooms are close by and the restaurant is wheelchair friendly
John Fox (☆ 5/5)

Wow, anniversary celebration and a great night, love the crew here, the atmosphere food and service is tremendous, great vibes.
Btw the low alcohol Garage Project beer on the menu is such a great option, thanks
R k West (☆ 5/5)

Every bite was worth taking a breath between. To savour the moment. The cassava fries was the correct portion. Cooked all the way through, light and fluffy and the crunchy outer was a good mix of texture.
The mulata had all the flavours in every bite. A proper lunch meal, fast, flavourful and messy which is how I like food. The fried banana for me was the stand out complimenting the salsa and salad and the bits of pork belly. The bread it came with had all the flavours of the grill and was soft on the inside with the crispy crust. I will note if you don’t like cheddar cheese too much ask for maybe a feta or less cheese I like both so it didn’t stop me from enjoying it at all. I know some people are specific with cheese.
Partnered with the karma ginger ale it all went done perfect.
A great combination of flavour and texture and now I wanna try all the arepas on the menu.
Casey Namana (☆ 5/5)

We had a great dinner at this restaurant at the food hall. We appreciated that we were able to eat our food outside for the fresh air.
My husband got an arepa which was very full and flavorful. I got a patacon with pork that was delicious and had super crispy plantains and yummy beans. I’d totally go back to try more options from the same menu.
Jenny Wei (☆ 5/5)

Grabbed a quick lunch arepa the other day and still thinking about it! Food quality is impeccable. While I was there, a couple nearby ordered the sharing platter – looked delicious and keen to try that next time. Overall impressed with the food, the arepas are a bit pricy for the quantity but it’s a unique dish so fair enough. Chimichurri on point!
Atmosphere was lovely and staff seemed onto it
Silvia Kostandini (☆ 5/5)

It was my first time trying Latin American cuisine. The chorizos, prawns, and the veggies in it tasted great with the sauce. The lady at the counter was kind enough to give us some extra glaucamole sauce to take home.

They are doing a fairly decent job with giving Auckland a little taste of Mumbai. The vada pao with choora & the dry chutney is pretty good. Wish we could get real Mumbai paos tho. The sev puri was pretty tasty too!

We had vadapav, sandwich and Dahi puri, everything was amazing ❤️

Our first visit to Auckland and this surprise awaited us. It’s amazing to get wadapav almost as good as Aamchi Mumbai’s. Thanx to Vaibhav and Vani, a wonderful couple, for not only opening this place and making yummm wadapav but also being great hosts
We also tried their cheese toast sandwich, Mumbai veg sandwich, dahi poori and Pani poori amongst other wow stuff, … all were amazing… just couldn’t stop but had to as we were stuffed.., like there’s no tomorrow
Wadapav and chai a super hit, a must try

Absolutely worth the visit ! I’m from Mumbai and my standards for street food are pretty high 😀 My food order was for triple grilled sandwich and it took me back to Mumbai – nostalgic. Was authentic and spot on. Not only the food here is great but so is their customer service.
Will definitely visit again ✨
Snehal More (☆ 5/5)

Absolutely Loved It
I stopped by the Bombay Vada Pav Food Truck recently, and I have to say—it completely blew me away! I wasn’t expecting to find such authentic Mumbai street food here, but wow, the vada pav was spot on. Perfectly crispy, spicy, and so flavorful—just like I remember from back home.
What really stood out though was the amazing service. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They took the time to explain the menu, made great recommendations, and even checked in to make sure everything was to my liking. You can tell they really care about their food and their customers.
Definitely coming back again soon—and bringing friends next time! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out.

I placed an order yesterday night. I have certain allergies and what a great service that the owner herself called me to ensure and assure me that all my food will be prepared with extra caution and that no allergens will be there in my food. Impressed with the quality of food. And they even have a cute little gift along side. Tasty food and amazing service. Highly recommend!

Irani chai is medium, but it misses the freshness cuz it’s kept prepared in a thermos,it gets a different taste and smell. Biscuit, baklava and pastry quality is good, crisp and not overly sweet.

Fabulous food, speedy service and lovely ambience.
This is more a food truck than a restaurant so all seating is outside but made better with the addition of heaters.
But the food was delicious. Can’t deny it was a little more expensive than you’d expect to pay for a food truck but it was certainly value for money.
Jo Skinner (☆ 5/5)

Thursday night, we were lucky to finds a cute table for two,
If you’re looking for real Italian food in New Zealand, this is the place. My friend’s restaurant is the definition of authenticity—every dish feels like a trip to Italy. From handmade pasta to rich, slow-cooked sauces, you can taste the love and tradition in every bite.
But let’s talk about the tiramisu… I never thought I’d say this, but it’s better than my mom’s in Verona (sorry, Mamma!). It’s perfectly balanced—light, creamy, with just the right hit of espresso and cocoa. An absolute must-try.
Whether you’re Italian and missing home or just a lover of great food, this spot is a gem. Can’t recommend it enough!
Johara Ierardi (☆ 5/5)

If you’re looking for a spot that feels like a warm hug from a nonna who really knows her way around a kitchen, look no further than Lil Ragu, the Italian food truck/restaurant that has stolen my carb-loving heart.
First, let’s talk about the food. Every dish here tastes like it was hand-delivered by the gods of Italian cuisine. The mezzaluna – meat stuffed raviolis absolutely blew me away delicate, perfectly cooked, and filled with flavors so rich they should come with a trust fund. The ragu pappardelle? A masterpiece of thick, tender pasta swimming in a rich, savory sauce that could make even the coldest heart melt. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but once you taste it, you’ll understand. These aren’t just meals, they’re edible vacations to the Amalfi coast.
The drinks? Worth every cent.
What really makes this place shine, though, is the people. The owner, a culinary genius with the friendliest vibe, always has a big smile. The staff? Lovely, attentive, and quick to recommend the perfect dish to suit your mood.
This has officially become my go-to spot for a special treat or whenever I need to remind myself that life is better with good pasta and great people.
Do yourself a favor and make this your next stop. Your stomach—and your soul—will thank you.
Emilie P (☆ 5/5)

Amazing Italian food – loved our starters and pasta, probably one of the best I have had in Auckland. Good drinks menu too. We went for a late Sunday lunch so had no problem getting a table; otherwise often it’s busy in the evening as there are not a lot of tables. Highly recommend this place!
Michele Wong (☆ 5/5)

Lil Ragú – a name that evokes the warmth of a cozy Italian kitchen. But upon our visit, we found the ambiance to be more akin to the inside of a fridge. It was rather cold, which is not exactly what you’d expect from a place that serves hearty, soul-warming meals. Fortunately, they provided blankets, which was a nice touch, making it feel like we were dining at a stylish yet drafty picnic.
Overall, the experience was good. The food was rich and flavorful, embodying the essence of Italian comfort cuisine. However, it’s worth noting that the meals are quite rich, which makes lunch the optimal time to visit. A heavy dinner here might leave you feeling like a stuffed ravioli, perfect for a midday feast but perhaps too much for late-night dining.
In summary, Lil Ragú offers delicious food and a charming, if chilly, atmosphere. Just remember to bundle up and maybe consider a lunchtime reservation to fully enjoy the rich dishes without feeling overly indulgent.
Brigham Creek (☆ 4/5)

The location is quaint, with outdoor sheltered seating only so bring a jacket if a bit cooler.
The food was delicious, love the fresh pasta, sauces and meats available. Will definitely be returning.
Antonio Pena (☆ 5/5)

This is such an amazing find! I loved the setup with the restaurant operating out of a food truck and the outdoor seating. Aperol Spritz was made well, and of course the pasta dishes were delectable. I would highly recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First of all, I want to say sorry to Apana Adda team for putting my review so late because I visited this place multiple times and the place has not only match my expectations but exceeded on what I have expected. Firstly, it is difficult to find a food place which stays open until late night. Still, no compromise on food quality and test. Simply brilliant Apna Adda. I wish you all the success. I hope you stays at the same place forever. Best wishes to the team. God bless you. I have added just bhajiya and bhel photos only but I tried everything and everything is just awesome.

Loved this place. Food is so tasty. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. I was over visiting New Zealand and he was made sure I had a great meal. Fantastic service and again the food is delicious. Located at East Ridge Eatery which allows groups to choose from different restaurants but still sit together.

First time to the new showcase of pop ups at Eastridge. TEMAKERIA for dinner delights tonight. I had a couple of starters – the Tofu and Crab Shack cones, however i know to turn up with a empty stomach in future – i just wanted to taste it all. Great atmosphere and really nice and welcoming staff. You leave with a big smile

オーナーご夫妻がとてもフレンドリーで優しいお店です。自家製のキムチが美味しくて、ビールが進みます。これからも通わせていただきます。

Okay let’s be honest for a second, we basically stumbled upon this place hap-hazardly but WOW. From being greeted by the host and smiles from the cooks we knew this was going to be a great experience. Our host knew every dish and guided us through what would our best experience. We ordered a hand roll (spicy salmon), Gyoza (pork and prawn), Don’s [rice bowl] (Karaage Chicken Donburi). All were amazing and flavorful. Completed it with a ManOWar Red blend glass of wine and our meal was complete. This restaurant is part of a group of many resturants all of different cuisines. Therefore you will no go hungry and find something you will not like. Please go and you will not be disappointed.
So thank you Temakria, we will be back, sooner than later.

Customer Reviews
I was wondering how could they combine fried chicken with creamy pasta, and it turns out really tasty surprisingly. And definitely try the fries please, I would rank it No.1 in Auckland, really crispy and eat it while hot even tastes better. It’s a quite great take away place and the people there are really friendly.

it was my first time eating here after hearing my older sister rave about it so much. 10/10 for the creamy garlic fried chicken pasta i ordered. genuinely one of the best things i have ever eaten. the sauce was so creamy but not too rich and overpowering. everything, including the chicken of course, was perfectly seasoned. all of it was freshly served and we didn’t have even have to wait that long either. thank you so much famous eddy for the amazing food and experience! 🙂

Highly recommended!
Rose pasta with steak was so nice and creamy. Their pasta is much better than the other pasta restaurants, simple but tasty!
Corn cheese ball – crispy and a lot of cheese and corn inside, recommended!
The staff were so friendly and lovely!
Would definitely be back again to try the creamy garlic pasta with pork belly!

Drove around 12 mins to this restaurant as my boy asked for. Unfortunately it was close at 2pm. Fortunately the boss was ok for takeaway as they were leaving for buying more foods to tonight. The taste was good.
Yau Jackson (☆ 5/5)

Although we waited for 20 mins for our food, it was so worth it. The smoked pork belly is nicely marinaded and seasoned. The pasta was al Dante and the sauce was creamy. It is a small food truck with limited seating.
They are only open at certain times, definitely do some research before u go.
Cost: $18.9-24.9 depends on which meat you get
Lo Jannis (☆ 4/5)

First time trying this place, ordered a Creamy Garlic Pasta with Smoke Pork Belly. The pasta was fantastic, nice rich flavour. The pork belly was the highlight, beautifully done and presented, definitely does not disappoint. 10/10 food and excellent service. Will definitely be coming back to try out the rest of the menu.

Customer Reviews
The food is below average and tastes very bland. The Vada Pao was a disappointment and so was the Dabeli. Tbh both look the same. The pani puri was laced with chaat masala and the Pao bhaji was bland as well. Didn’t live up to my expectation and taste buds.

Taste of desi in Auckland!
Friendly staff and food is of great value and of good taste.
Must visit.
Mohammed Hussein (☆ 5/5)

Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet expectations and was quite disappointing. The vada pav lacked authentic flavor, tasting bland and without the vibrant Indian spices we anticipated. Similarly, the pani puri masala was notably under-seasoned, even missing salt.It was truly disheartening.
Vidhi dave (☆ 1/5)

Had been planning to try this place out for a couple of weeks and am so glad we finally did. This gem is comparable or better than a lot of the great street food joints back in Bangalore/Delhi/Bengal…
We tried the vada pav/k3 sandwich/tea/pani puri. Pani puri/ vada pav /tea was top notch. Probably we asked for a plain k3 sandwich so adults didn’t get to enjoy it to the max. We got to try some dal Vada samples after we had eaten our fill and was just wowed. I love food and have posted a lot of reviews around places in Auckland and other places I’ve lived – this one is certainly one of the memorable ones.
I hope they can maintain the taste, smile and friendliness as they grow (along with the price ofcourse)
My one recommendation for them would be to use divided plates for chutneys especially when one is spicy (kids have hard time consuming the delicious spicy food)

Something has gone wrong with the place and the pani poori is really bad and didn’t seem fresh and was extremely spicy .. there was no flavor.

“Delicious food and great service!”
I recently tried KAKI KA KITCHEN and was seriously impressed! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. I had the TUVER -TOTHA and it was absolutely delicious—seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and quick, even with a bit of a line. Prices were fair for the quality and portions. Highly recommend stopping by if you see them around .
Smit Patel (☆ 5/5)

This is the first time I’m writing my review for any Indian food. We have been there few times and as like others we liked your Vada pav. Today again we visited your place expecting good food. We tried Pizza today for a change, but this time you guys have given the worst food.
It’s not even pizza, it was roasted roti. You should have named it roti pizza instead. Your roti base was completely burned out and the burnt roti wasn’t able to eat properly.
Also, pizza Topings were not as per expectations. I can make a good roti pizza better than this.
And You’re charging $14.00 for this item which isn’t even worth $5. Way expensive item. I can have a best pizza in the shop for $16..
Krunal Pancholi (☆ 1/5)

Thoroughly disappointed with how expensive items are here, plus if you order yourself a pani puri you will see that it is bland served to you with tasteless water. Definitely not worth it, the table we were on all ordered it and spent well over $80 at this place and no one was satisfied with the food they were served. Won’t be going back here, for sure!!!!!!
