Ordered 2 x large platters and some side dishes. Food came out in a timely manner. Quite pricey but split between the group worked well. Atmosphere was good and service top notch. Recommend as a good place to hang out and catch up with friends over good food.

We held our two daughters joint birthday party here today. What a great experience it was from beginning to end! Great communication from the get go. Eloise who was running the party was awesome. So patient and good with the kids showing and helping them how to make their own pizzas. Kids had so much fun. Only $29 per kid for pizza, ice cream and drink and lots of fun. Could bring our own cake too for no charge. Would recommend a kids pizza party at Goode Brothers New Lynn to everyone!

Took family of 4 (5yo,2yo) here on mothers day. Despite being largely booked out, we were able to be accommodated without a booking which we were grateful for. Food was very nice and came out quickly, and the kids had activities which were provided by the wait staff. This was really appreciated. Top service and a great experience. Thanks Jessie for looking after us

Customer Reviews
The Margherita pizza here is honestly the best, even comparing it to the pizzas I had in Napoli. The dough, sauce and cheese… we have been here multiple times, both as a small and large group, and they have been consistently the best! The other items in the menu that we’ve tried were great hits as well. Our favourite is the octopus entree, refreshing and just the right amount of citrus taste given by the lemon.

It is a very popular place, so best to book in advance. Staff very friendly too. Finding a parking can be challenging as it is located in the middle of a busy road.

Highly recommend to those craving real Neapolitan pizza in Auckland.

You are in New Zealand and you’re craving for a Neapolitan pizza. Napoli from Auckland is over 18,000 km away, but fortunately just south of Auckland CBD in Parnell you will find Napoli Contemporanea where the pizzas are just as good if not better than what you find in Napoli.
Rocco Pezzullo, AVPN certified pizza chef has brought not only his vast knowledge on Napoli pizzas but also created the right atmosphere on Parnell Rd. The dough is perfection, the toppings fresh, the temperature of the oven as it should be to give the diner an authentic pizza experience.
If you are lucky enough to be in Auckland a stop at Napoli Contemporanea is essential. I devoured the Pizza Margherita and I’m eager to go back to try the Spaghettoni alle vongole

Ended up here unexpectedly and they were able to fit us in. We had a lovely pizza and rocket salad. I did not eat my last piece of pizza to save room for the pistachio tiramisu. Presentation was great and the tiramisu was to die for. Recommend. Cost $$-$$$ toilet was clean always a good sign. Though busy the staff remained pleasant and helpful

La meilleure pizza sans gluten que j’ai jamais mangée ! Étant cœliaque, j’ai vraiment apprécié qu’ils préparent ma pizza dans un four séparé. Customer Reviews
I was really looking forward to going here, I absolutely love Italian cuisine and the restaurant is rated highly on Google. When we got there, my first impressions were good. We received a warm, friendly greeting, the restaurant was busy and the decor very nice. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and good when we got him, could have been a bit more attentive though as it took us quite awhile to just get some drinks. I had the Italian Cider and it was absolutely delicious and not super sweet. For dinner, I had the duck pasta, which I was incredibly excited about. However, found disappointing unfortunately, it is quite stew like, which I wasn’t expecting. The pasta itself was nice. Then came to ordering dessert. Our original waiter clocked out and then it took us a good 40 minutes or so to get the waitresses’ attention to order dessert. Once we finally got to order, the dessert came fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious. I had the canoli and it was perfectly balanced, crispy and the citrus flavor devine. I’m not sure of I’d go back here, I wouldn’t rule it out, but definitely disappointed in the service.

Upscale Italian restaurant located in the trendy waterfront of Auckland. The meals were tasty and well presented. I had the vegetarian pasta with pumpkin filling. It was delicious but was a bit light for size (see pics). I needed to order another bowl of bread in addition to my pumpkin pasta dish. My partner had the eggplant side dish and meatballs and was very satisfied. The “deconstructed” tiramisu was lovely, but untraditional.

When dining at an Italian restaurant in New Zealand, it’s often an occasion for a special treat. So, when picking a spot, I like to check out the menu for something unique the restaurant offers. Buduzzi caught my eye with its pappardella ripiena, a dish that’s not very typical. While I don’t have another version to compare it to, what I had was absolutely delicious. The marinara sauce was perfectly balanced with the ricotta. Personally, I’d have preferred a bit more pasta in the sauce rather than the baked texture, but that’s just a personal preference—overall, it was fantastic.

For the secondi, I opted for the Vitello Perlato, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The combination of tender meat with fluffy arugula, balsamic, and Parmigiano Reggiano added such a lovely aroma and depth of flavor. If this dish were served in Italy, I imagine it wouldn’t include the potatoes (seems to be more of a Kiwi twist to have meat paired with potatoes).

A special shout-out to our French waiter, who served us with great humor and made the whole experience even better. Your service was exceptional!

Complimenti al chef, la tua cucina è un capolavoro!

Thank you for taking me back to Italy. Buduzzi, compared to Bossi, is no match—Buduzzi is truly authentic in both its cooking style and atmosphere. It was far from pretentious and incredibly welcoming. What we ordered we thought the price was very honest.

Review from our visit in June 2024

We had a mixed dining experience at Baduzzi – some dishes impressed, while others fell short:
– Ginger Hero mocktail was a standout surprise – crafted at a cocktail-level standard with great depth of flavour. Highly recommend it!
– Pumpkin Pasta was excellent, rich, and well-balanced, though it could have been served hotter.
– Pan-Seared Line-Caught Snapper had great flavour but was on the smaller side for the price.
– Beef Short Rib was a disappointment – lukewarm and lacking depth in seasoning.
– Lamb Meatballs were let down by poor execution. While the sauce was a saving grace, the meatballs themselves were underwhelming – surprising, given it is meant to be the trademark dish here. There also seemed to be miscommunication in the kitchen – our plate was preheated but had cooled by the time the dish arrived, and the accompanying pappardelle didn’t come out with it, leaving the meatballs to go cold as we waited.

Service was friendly but timing and kitchen coordination left much to be desired. Given the reputation of Baduzzi, we expected better across the board.

Would we return? Maybe for the pasta and cocktails, but overall, it didn’t fully live up to expectations.

Ok, so this was a tough one. The menu makes the food sound fantastic but when it arrives (very quickly and only warm, not hot) it is just nice. It has flavour and is presented well, but it’s just nice. The meatballs must be pre cooked and then reheated as they were warm and didn’t have a freshly made look. Service friendly and efficient. Look, try it, you may get a better meal, but be prepared to be underwhelmed.

Have been visiting this restaurant for years now, and there’s a reason I keep going back. Very generous food portions, the taste is always consistent, and the staff are always polite. Personal favourite is the seafood pasta, prawn linguine and the beef salad. Pizzas are always cooked to perfection. The owner is personally there often and his passion for the restaurant is undeniable. Keep it up!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and booked a table just in case. It was fairly busy when we arrived at 12.30pm. We ordered 2x Pizzas, a Fettuccine and a Resotto to share between 3, Adults and 2x Kids. The food came out fast and the portions are a good size. Excellent value and authentic tasting

Absolutely amazing experience! We visited Archie’s in Newmarket for our parents’ wedding anniversary and had an incredible time. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the food was outstanding.

We ordered the Prawn Linguine, Mediterranean Pizza, Fettuccine, Medium Rare Steak, Prosciutto e Funghi Pizza and Seafood Risotto—every dish was full of flavour and beautifully cooked. We loved the Mediterranean Pizza so much we ordered another one as a finale!

Highly recommend this place. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks, Archie’s team!

We came in on a Saturday night for dinning in, i wanted to order Mediterraneo but they were out of some ham, so they made a Meat lover for me, they also cherished it with more then enough chicken i’ve ever seen in my life on a pizza… tbh it tasted okay …
also the staff was good but the service was slightly slow as we waited slightly over 10mins past an hour… and yes the corner table had a lot of flies, would recommend restaurant manager to please check with it…
Taste was good for all other meals

Very sadly did not enjoy this one though I had high hopes. The staff weren’t very attentive we had to wave them down a few times to place an order. We had the piadina and the pane frito. The sauce for the piadina was just.. not good. It tasted very strange and the flavours just weren’t good together. Couldn’t have more than a bite. The pane frito was drowning in too much cream – though thankfully the flavours were palatable (unlike the piadina). Given the price and food, it’s unlikely I would return.

Our gratitude goes to the team for an exceptional dining experience we had at the restaurant tonight.

We decided to try our luck without a reservation, and despite the restaurant being packed, the lovely server offered us a table outside under the heaters, which we gratefully accepted. They even offered blankets!!!!

Despite how busy it was, our orders were taken within five minutes, and our food was served within 20 minutes. The pizza was superb, the chicken was tender, and the kids’ portions were generous.

We discovered Al Forno by chance, but we’ll definitely be back the next chance we get—this time with a reservation!

What an absolute treasure this place is. This was my final night in Auckland before flying back to Sydney the next evening .My friend whom I was staying with, made a dinner reservation for 7:30pm on the Friday evening in early May 2025. But, when we got there they never had a booking for us.
We were a bit upset but they were so lovely and suggested we might like to sit on an outside table and see if a table came up soon….we did have a fab heater above us and they gave us the warmest blankets for our legs! It is the start of winter in NZ at that time of the year.
Well, about half an hour…ish later they said there was a table inside but the 3 of us were so busy chatting and drinking, wrapped in our toasty blankets that we were very happy to sit outside. It was actually quite noisy inside.
I hadn’t seen one of my friends for many years so we were chatting for ages before we actually ordered, but our waitress was super friendly and never hassled us.
Now the pizzas….they were absolutely magic!! The crust was so delicious and even the sides of the pizza were so soft and chewy.
Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of our fab food, only a location shot.
Definitely another visit is on the cards when I go back to Takapuna, fab service and fab food and ambience.

Excellent experience! We took gnocchi which were 10/10, taste and texture. We also took a prosciutto pizza which was so good that we had to come back again. Staff was attentive and kind and answered all our requests.

It’s been a while since I left a place and instantly said that we should go back!

We went for dinner with friends who booked through FirstTable so our reservation was 5pm and it was quiet but it soon filled up and I can fully understand why!

The service was amazing, the food was delicious and good portion sizes, the drinks were great and getting them refilled was not an issue. All our food came out together which is such a rarity these days. And even though we over stayed our booking time (because we were enjoying ourselves so much and having a good time we didn’t realise) they were polite in telling us and it didn’t dampen the experience at all.

One of our party is allergic to peanuts and they went above and beyond by checking something on the dessert menu and letting us know that because they don’t make it on site, they would suggest not getting it. Most places would be too worried about admitting they buy something in, but honestly, we loved that they did because it meant that we could trust them.

Over all LOVED our experience here and we will definitely be back with other people. But %100 suggest booking because they’re that good they are busy!!

First time visitors; my wife surprised me with what turned out to be a wonderful dining experience.

We both love Italian and from the moment we arrived – we were a little early, but the polite staff lead us to our table, which was right next to a long row of previously enjoyed wine bottles. This just ‘felt’ quintessentially Italian.

We skipped a starter and any breads, I’m usually determined to go for dessert, so wanted to leave some room at the finale for something divine, which I knew it would be.

The carbonara was superb, not overly creamy as some can be. The flavours were exceptional and I wanted more, not in terms of portion size – which was just right – but no, I wanted another!

My wife’s fish, of which I had a sample, was outstanding and the presentation of both dishes, superb.

The Veneto Valpolicella was bursting with red fruit and I made it last, savouring every drop. Wonderful accompaniment to the meal.

Tiramisu turned out to be my choice for the final chapter and it’s one of the best I’ve tried. Light alcohol, not too dominant and beautiful creamy texture that I was tasting after leaving and when we were on our way.

Oh and of course, the limoncello. I was kindly offered a second glass, but I was the driver. Next time.

Thank you Al Forno, we’ll see you again…

Really disappointed with a takeaway order I received last night. I ordered the Gamberoni, and unfortunately, it was practically inedible. The dish was full of rock-hard peppercorns—a key ingredient that wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the menu, and made the meal really unpleasant. I had driven all the way from West Auckland to Takapuna so It was really frustrating and disappointing experience especially considering the distance I traveled and the expectations I had based on your usually high standards. I believe if there is something that is a seemingly key ingredient it should most definitely be mentioned. I also tried to leave feedback on your website and on your contact us option but i was unable to. I hope this feedback is taken onboard, as it was a real letdown.

Our number one go to place in Parnell. Awesome Italian food from appetizers to main to dessert. You just don’t wanna miss any of the courses. It would be otherwise incomplete and short changing ourselves from a perfect dining experience. Wait staff is super friendly and attentive. The Courtyard is cherry on top. Thank you non solo team!

In a street of great options, NSP is truly EXCELLENT! If you want the best of the best, eat here. Plain and simple. Very authentic Italian fare with excellent service and lovely outdoor summer atmosphere. We had the oysters, ceasar salad, burrata, vongole, salami pizza, and vegetable pizza. The vegetable pizza was the standout and a must-order, even if you’re a meat lover such as myself. Will certainly be coming again and recommending!

Came here with a friend recently for dinner. The food was nice and well presented if a bit small in price.

The servers were nice but the bartender was rather indifferent and dismissive to me when we first entered and inquired about dining options.

The price of the food here is also quite high but for a fine dining experience its nice.

Good for a one time try or if you enjoy fancy food but I won’t be returning anytime soon.

I would say the pasta here is the best that I have ever had in Auckland. Love the spaghetti with meet balls – the meat balls should be home made which are big and tasty. The pasta with duck is very delicious as well- the duck meat is tender and savory.

We stopped in for a later dinner in mid-March and had a really fantastic meal. The staff were great, super cool and really fast service. Food was really fresh and delicious, still thinking about the pea and bean ravioli. Also the polenta chips. And salmon salad. We weren’t drinking on the night so had the house sodas, very delicious – impressive as non alcoholic drinks are hard to do well.

Have seen this place on TikTok and couldn’t wait to try this out. Went here for our wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. From entrees to desert everything here was delicious. The garlic bread and the beef rib were my favourite I had to order an extra side of the garlic bread after demolishing the first. The service was so good gave recommendations based on what we said we liked and they were so friendly while doing it. Brought out our desert with a note saying happy anniversary which was a great touch so impressed. Can’t give enough praise must come back. It’s pricey but worth every single dollar!!!

Made an online order for 5 pizzas at 6:39pm for pick up at 7pm but only received it at 7:50pm. I understand that it is busy (Father’s day) but I suggest processes are put in place to pause orders for a bit to avoid these ridiculous wait times. Initially arrived at 7:05pm and was told that it would be ready in “5-10 minutes”; classic case of over-promise under-deliver. Not long after this, I notice another pair waiting for their order who were offered a drink as compensation for the wait. 20 minutes after our initial arrival (left the restaurant to kill time), we returned and was told my order would still be a “fair bit” away from being ready but was not offered the same hospitality as the earlier party. A bit unfair maybe? Hope they weren’t waiting longer than we were. Finally received the pizzas and was a bit underwhelmed when we opened them up at home. Seems like toppings were just thrown on the pizza without thought of even distribution. Although, pizzas did taste okay (will probably be a lot better if you dine in). Overall, pretty frustrating experience, especially the hour long wait.
