Awful awful experience. I was picked up outside of provedor bar at 1 am. I was originally waiting for an uber but one of the drivers yelled out and said he could give me a ride so I jumped in as you do and watched as the counter just went up and up and up. It was a 14km ride to the hotel I was staying at. Upon arrival I was charged $162.36 being drunk I didn’t really think about it and paid. This is unbelievable that they can get away with this scamming I am beyond pissed off and will be contacting the commerce commission and police over this as I feel as though my somewhat drunk state and need to get to the hotel quick was taken advantage of. This driver needs to be stood down. It defies belief.

I wish there was an option to give zero stars, as I think this would be the most appropriate rating for this taxi service. I caught a taxi at 5am yesterday morning from the Britomart Hotel to Auckland Airport and the fare was over $200! The trip took less than 30 minutes as there was no traffic at that time of the day. I will never use a taxi while I am in Auckland ever again and will only use Uber from now on.

Charged $125 from airport to Auckland city - should be around $62 - avoid at all costs. My faith in humanity has been restored by Carol from cheap cabs team. She took the time to listen to my complaint and took decisive action to offer my a refund. Customer Service is almost non existent these days however credit where credit is due. Hats off to Carol for removing a rather unpleasant experience for us first time visitors to New Zealand.

I used cheap cab taxi service after a red eye flight from the international airport, the driver was courteous and delivered me to my central home at a reasonable airport rate. I rate this service 5 star as in my tired state I misplaced my passport somewhere between the airport and getting home. I logged an online query with cheap cabs and was helped by Carol. Carol went out of her way to find the driver based on my receipt and when the driver did not find the passport she went the extra step to request the video footage in the cab be reviewed. The driver was very helpful in showing up to the depot first thing in the morning for the camera to be reviewed and helped us understand that there was no sign of my passport in the cab. Carol went the extra step to use her contacts at the airport to check around for the passport. Eventually it was found and I collected it that day. Despite me having called the airport lost property and leaving my details, Carol and the driver’s prompt help resulted in me not having to apply for an emergency passport and a whole lot of stress regarding an upcoming trip. I am so grateful to them both for the effort and time they put into helping me resolve something that was in no way their problem. Thank you, this kind of service encourages me to use the cheap cabs as a priority.

A very disappointing and stressful experience for me and the family this morning. We have a confirmed pick up from Takanini to Auckland International airport at 230am but the driver DID NOT come to pick us up. We have to find a taxi in the early morning with 6 big luggages and a baby with us. Very disappointing and I will NEVER try Cheap Cabs again.

We used cheap cabs this afternoon to pick us up from the domestic terminal in Auckland. Wonderful communication. Clean newish car and driver was great. Would recommend them Good price too

Une honte absolue. Le chauffeur nous appelle 1h avant le rdv pour nous annoncer 15 min de retard. Puis 30 min de retard... Finalement il a plus d'une heure de retard. Pour un transfert à l'aéroport! A fuit!
