Taste Of India Mt Eden

I visited with my family for dinner. The starters were fantastic, offering an authentic Indian taste, and the paneer tandoori was incredibly soft. The main course was great as well. However, the only downside was the Schezwan noodles, which were too spicy. If you decide to order them, make sure to consider the spice level.

Our work group had been here for dinner. We had quite a few dishes. Malai chicken, seekh kebab, samosa chaat, goat curry, beef makhani, beef vindaloo, garlic naan and cheese naan. Every dish was so tasty and flavourful and had the right amount of spices. We will definitely be back.

It set a high bar for the rest of the meal, and Taste of India certainly delivered. For my main course, I chose the Paneer Lababdar paired with a fresh, warm Garlic Naan. The Paneer Lababdar was a symphony of flavors – rich, creamy, and subtly spiced, with perfectly cooked paneer cubes. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into their gravies, as this dish was incredibly satisfying and comforting. The Garlic Naan was the ideal accompaniment, fluffy with just the right hint of garlic, perfect for scooping up every last bit of the delicious curry. Throughout my meal, the service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. Taste of India has clearly mastered the art of traditional Indian cuisine, offering dishes that are both authentic and incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend Taste of India in Mount Eden for anyone craving an exceptional Indian dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their enticing menu! ❤️

One of the best Indian restaurants I ve eaten in lately. Their egg fried rice and paneer curries were drool worthy. The food was reasonably priced and was excellent.

Their knowledge of the menu and genuine hospitality made the visit even more enjoyable. I ordered the Kadhai Paneer with Garlic Naan, and it was absolutely divine. The paneer was fresh and perfectly spiced, with a rich, aromatic gravy bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The garlic naan was soft, fluffy, and generously topped—ideal for scooping up every bit of the delicious curry. The presentation was vibrant and appealing, adding to the dining experience. What truly sets this place apart is the consistency and care in both their food and service. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Went there for dinner. Amazing food and service. Value for money as taste and quantity is perfect! Our server Vedanki ( apologies if pronounced name wrong ) was great, kind, ready to assist. Great staff and manager on shift. Definitely recommend 10/10

I had the most horrible experience with the food I received. I was utterly disappointed with my order. The lamb meat was extremely tough, and the flavour was so off it felt like I was eating raw lamb in a sauce made of whole peeled tomatoes. There was no real taste just an overwhelming amount of spice that completely ruined my appetite. The spicy chicken curry, on the other hand, was drowning in oil and overloaded with chili, with no other flavour at all. I paid over $50 for these two dishes, and both were absolutely terrible. For a restaurant with the word "Taste" in its name, the food had none. I'm very disappointed.
