We took our staff to the Marae, as a taste of bicultural life. We enjoyed a robust Powhiri from our hosts, and they enjoyed our song and speakers speech. Afterwards we went to the working village, a taste of Maori life from the late 1800's when settlers were starting to come to New Zealand.

Great town. Good people. Development in progress with clean up around huge tract of unused land just behind the absolutely fabulous TeHana cafe. Welll worth a visit. Watch this little town bloom in the coming years.

awesome experience food was great stayed 1 night enjoyed the Marae

Attended a wananga and the venue was great. Lots of parking, an added bonus of a really well stocked premium gift shop. That along with a large catering space and bar makes for an ideal venue to host events. Catering was on point and venue was well worth the trip out of Auckland. Totally recommend an AirBNB called Silverlake Estate and Apartments only 5 minutes from the venue. An added bonus for a way-cation
