Absolutely beautiful and mind blowing experience, really thank you to the staff that welcomed us into the house - the heart of the marae here shows an amazing story and history of the maori community, the craftsmanship is the most stunning work of art i have ever seen in a marae.

One of the most beautiful marae in NZ to date. The carvings are exceptional, the story of its development and the introduction of the master carver who was instrumental in the many designs of each Pou inside the whare. The weaving of the mats that grace the walls and the meaning of the artistic story behind the work is breathtaking and magnificent. Truly a gift to all of NZ not just auckland. Unitec I hope would appreciate the work that goes into creating and building of a Marae and the whare's that sit within the Marae. Outstanding and beautiful can't say enough about it. It has already been said the marae still remains as a creative masterpiece.

Beautiful Marae situated in the heart of Unitec and surrounded with beautiful playground for both grownups and kids. I saw a group of kids one day playing outdoors and having fun there. There is plenty of parking around it to give it easy access for visitors. It provides a beautiful experience for the Maori culture and its heritage.

Attended a few Maori classes , we would meet here before going with our kaiakos. Absolutely loved and enjoyed every session. You get the chance to participate in a powhiri, you learn waiatas and the meaning behind the carvings in the marae. After every powhiri and before class you have afternoon tea and a snack. You really do feel welcomed. I highly recommend attending classes the teachers are amazing and it's honestly a good experience 🙂
