New Zealand Travel Tips (NZTT)

Shout out to Sarah and other Administrators at NZTT. My son and I had a wonderful three weeks in New Zealand with the exception of having a shuttle service to Tongariro Alpine Trail cancelled due to high winds. Perfectly understandable however, despite several attempts I was unable to obtain a refund from the provider who cancelled the service. So, reluctantly, I contacted Sarah who within a few days, i was able to obtain a full refund. This was astonishing! (I should have known that NZTT would come through.) They have additionally put the privider on notice that their refund policy is too restrictive and unreasonable. Future traveller's to New Zealand will benefit from NZTT 's diligence. Thanks so much for your dedication to members. You are awesome!

I had a draft itinerary for a month-long trip to the South Island. I decided to set up a zoom meeting with Sarah to go over my draft and it was the best idea ever! Sarah is so kind, warm and friendly and, most importantly, so knowledgeable. She asked some questions to get an idea how my husband and I like to travel and then we went through my draft day by day. Sarah suggested some changes which made our itinerary much better. She recommended activities day by day. She came up with ideas I would never have thought of even with all my research. She turned my trip into what will be a fabulous experience. And then she put me in touch with Antony who assisted me in booking our airfare, car and accommodations. Antony was wonderful, got us some great deals, figured out different options when some desired accommodations were already booked and always responded very quickly. He was a pleasure to deal with. I am so happy I used both their services to plan our trip.

Met de planning van de reis hebben we gebruik gemaakt van de Facebook groep. Zo konden we de spots uitzoeken, die ons aanspraken. Zo waardevol. We hebben een fantastische reis gehad en gekozen om alleen het Zuidereiland te bezoeken en toekomstig mogelijk het Noordereiland. Geen spijt van gehad.

NZTT’s FB page was my primary resource for all planning for my long-awaited trip back to NZ after 40 years. I was blown away how helpful Sarah and the team were on any queries I had, but more than that, how collaborative NZTT is with the sharing of ideas and first-hand knowledge from local Kiwis. I’ve accessed many travel sites, in my time, and NZTT surpasses them all! Having over 100,000 members over a relatively short period of time, tells the story right there. I thought that once I returned from my month back in NZ, I wouldn’t need to follow this page any longer, but I cannot seem to leave it, as it contains so many like-minded people who truly love to share their expertise and experiences throughout this beautiful country. What’s also impressive is the positivity and politeness of members when responding for advice on itineraries. NZTT is definitely a role model for what a collaborative travel page should strive to be!

Sarah Chant was amazing! I had a starting point of an itinerary and have been a part of the NZTT Facebook group for while. The group alone was very helpful but I was busy with work and overwhelmed by finalizing plans for our trip to New Zealand. A consultation with Sarah alleviated all of that stress and she provided just the right amount of guidance and itinerary suggestions to alleviate that anxiety and help me finalize the plans and start getting everything booked. We had a wonderful trip and I feel like we maximized our time in NZ. It was great to have a local as a guide in the planning process. Highly recommend!!
