We had the most incredible day exploring the wineries, and it’s all thanks to our amazing tour guide, Oliver!

From start to finish, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about showing us the best of the region. He knew *all* the perfect spots – from breathtaking lookouts with panoramic views to hidden gem wineries we never would’ve found on our own.

A definite highlight was Mudbrick Winery – the views, the wine, the atmosphere… absolutely unforgettable. Oliver made sure everything ran smoothly, and his local insight really elevated the experience. It felt like we were on a private tour with a friend who knew all the secrets of the island. The Neil Diamond songs he played were quite a hit as well

If you’re thinking about booking a winery tour – do yourself a favor and ask for Oliver. He made our day one for the books!

Our experience on the Luxurious Waiheke Wine Tour was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment the four of us stepped onto the ferry to Waiheke Island, everything was perfectly organized by Cami and Tui. The tour was a delightful blend of stunning vineyard views, exquisite wine tastings, and delicious food pairings.

Each vineyard we visited had its own unique charm, and the wines were simply divine. The shared platter lunch was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, plentiful and perfectly paired with a glass of wine. Cami (our guide) was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the island, sharing fascinating stories and insights throughout the day.

The entire experience was seamless, relaxing, and indulgent. If you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a memorable day out with friends, this tour is a must-do. Highly recommended!

We booked a private wine tour with The Wine Tasting Company to celebrate a family birthday, and honestly—it was the perfect day out.

From the get-go, everything was super smooth. Our guide was lovely—friendly, full of great stories, and clearly knew her stuff when it came to Waiheke and wines. We visited a few gorgeous vineyards, each with its own vibe, and the tastings were generous (no tiny sips here!). It felt really personal and relaxed, not rushed at all.

The absolute highlight? Lunch at Batch Winery. The food was delicious, but the views—wow. Sitting up there with a glass of wine, looking out over the island and the ocean, was just magic. It was one of those moments where you just stop and go, “Yep, this is the life.”

The whole day had such a celebratory feel, with thoughtful touches that made the birthday feel extra special. It wasn’t just a wine tour—it was a full-on experience, and one we’ll all be talking about for a long time.

If you’re thinking about doing something special on Waiheke, especially with family or for a celebration, we can’t recommend The Wine Tasting Company enough. So worth it!

I recently had the pleasure of joining a wine tasting tour run by Heidi, and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, Heidi’s passion for wine and knowledge of the Waiheke region shone through. She provided us with fascinating insights about each winery’s history and winemaking process, making the tour not just enjoyable but also educational.

We visited some truly standout wineries, including Mudbrick, which offered breathtaking views alongside their excellent selection of wines. Casita Miro was another highlight, with its stunning architecture and delightful pairings. Heidi curated the itinerary perfectly, allowing us to savor the unique offerings at each stop.

Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out, I highly recommend this tour with Heidi. Her warmth and expertise made the day exceptional! Cheers to wonderful wines and amazing company!

Our experience with the Wine Tasting Company for the Waiheke Wine Tour – Sip & Savour Tour was every positive adjective I can come up with! Our Guide Cami was charming, interesting, engaging, and knowledgeable of the area, elements of interest, the history of the wineries and the people of Waiheke. The wineries were welcoming and well prepared for our arrival. This was a truly amazing experience.

What an amazing day! We were met at the ferry by Heidi, our guide who took us to the vineyards. She was great- friendly

, knowledgeable and helpful.
All the wineries were amazing- from a large one with incredible views, to smaller boutique wineries- all clearly very popular and with good reason. Tried 5 wines at each of the wineries, before a wonderful lunch at the last one.

Then back to the ferry afterwards. Everything was taken care of, so it was easy and stress-free for us. What a fantastic day! Would highly recommend and would love to it all again!

Glenn is a fantastic tour guide. He recommended a lovely restaurant (372) where we had an amazing meal. And then showed us a couple of wineries before making sure we got back to the ferry in time.

He’s extremely knowledgeable and shares an enthusiasm for the island.

Went for my Dad’s 60th birthday and had a wonderful time. Would recommend to everyone and really wanting to come back for another time. Glenn was such a wonderful guide, full of knowledge and new the staff by name and pointed out little facts about the island that no one but a local would know about. Even took us to a beautiful little cafe before our tour for breakfast which was amazing and a had wonderful talk with the owner. Really gives an experience that you couldn’t anywhere else. 10/10 recommend, you won’t regret it.

Glen is fun, gets some jokes going and keeps you on your toes. His commentary is light and he adapts to peoples humour. We enjoyed his tour and all the trips he took is on over two separate weekends on the island. If you want a high level of service and some fun call Glenn. All his advice was good on restaurants and places to go and he made our island visits MORE exciting – even though he teased us about being vegan and drinking celery juice!

Glenn is a fantastic friend and guide to have on the island. His passion and love of Waiheke shines. He has a deep knowledge of the island, it’s history and what’s worth your time. He went above and beyond to help us and looked after us well, from making a dinner recommendation to then making the booking for us and ensuring we had the best seats in the house at The Oyster Inn and Mudbrick with a lot of fun and laughs each time we met. Would absolutely recommend Glenn on your next visit and we look forward to seeing you again mate.

Our group of four found this magic wine tour with Glen to be a fantastic way to enjoy all of the beautiful scenery on Waiheke island. His ongoing commentary about the local history, wineries, people, their language and how Waiheke is continuing to develop over the years as a top tourist destination was excellent. His witty repartee kept us all smiling throughout our whole weekend. He also provided us great recommendations for eateries and he became our perfect chauffeur for the weekend making it very easy for us to get about and always arriving and getting us to our destinations in time. We will definitely be calling on this tour for future visits and recommend you take this one if you don’t want to be herded around like sheep. A massive big shout out to Glen.

Decadent Wine Tour – Grant was an incredible guide from start to finish. The day prior to the tour, he emailed to verify which ferry we would be on and was waiting for us at the ferry when we got off. We had a total of 9 people (2 couples and a group of 5) which was very manageable and made it easy to get to know all of the others. Grant took us to a total of three smaller boutique wineries and then lunch at a popular place on the island. Throughout the drive, Grant was great at explaining the history of the island and the wineries. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour with Waivino.

Grant was amazing – we enjoyed our tour thoroughly. He showed us the hidden gems of the island, beautiful views, took us to amazing local wineries and told us a lot about the island’s history. It was interesting to hear his perspective and observations he made throughout the years he’s been living on the island.

Thanks, Grant, for the outstanding boutique winery tour!
I’ve been on a few winery tours before, but this one was truly unique—and I absolutely loved it. What made it so special was that Grant took us to actual boutique wineries where the grapes are handpicked, each of them has so different style and some even produce organic wines, which I really enjoyed.

I brought two of my relatives from overseas, and they were sooo amazed—not just by the wineries, but also by the chance to enjoy the stunning Waiheke beaches and the beautiful 40-minute ferry ride.

This tour felt like a perfect Northland New Zealand experience all packed into one day. If you’re visiting Auckland, enjoy the beach and wine, and escape from big city, this is the best ways to see.

Graeme showed us a wonderful time! We hit all the big attractions on Waiheke island. He is very personable and knowledgeable of the area. It felt like hanging out with an old friend. We told him we wanted to see a bit more of the North Island before we went home so he showed us a very nice route to drive and a city to stay in. He even got us into a few other tours that were full and answered questions while we were on the drive. He truly went above and beyond to see to it that we had a good time. I highly recommend Graeme!

Jojo was awesome, he knows this island well, shared stories all along the way. And we were amazed by this place, the vineyard the beach and cozy coffee shop/pizza stand/ice cream shops, so vibrant, green and natural. We would come back again, do the sunset tour, that stunning top view!

Our experience was phenomenal! Jane made a wine tour happen for us with less than 24hrs notice and she guided us through the island and the culture beautifully. We had the option to choose a larger tour company, and we’re so glad we chose Big Aroha. Jane and Darren are guides, artists, makers…and now friends. We can’t recommend them enough!

We were lucky enough to have Jane as our taxi driver three times in one day—and every single ride was a pleasure! Communication with her was so smooth and easy, and she was always right on time, which made our day run perfectly. On top of that, Jane is such a kind and lovely person to talk to. Her friendly nature and genuine warmth made each journey feel more like a catch-up with a friend than just a ride. Thank you, Jane—we hope to see you again soon!

Jane / Big Aroha found us stuck on the side of a dark Waiheke road after our booked taxi never arrived….it was 2am!

She didn’t have to, as she was on her way home, but she picked us up and drove us to our respective locations all for about half the price of our previous cab. Needless to say, we made sure the trip was worthwhile for Jane and she’s continued to be our preferred taxi service on the island this day! She’s just fantastic!

My husband organised a surprise tour with Phil for our wedding anniversary. We had an incredible day!! Phil was an outstanding guide. He was informative and knowledgeable regarding the wine we tasted. We met lovely owners of the vineyards. Tony and Sue at Soljans winery gave us a personalised experience and gave the history of their family owned and operated business now heading into 5 generations. Lunch was delicious and we scooped 12 bottles of wine later and some great bargains. We will definitely do a tour again with Phil. We now have some ideas of where we might renew our vows next year 🙂

We had a great time on the Enjoi Waiheke Island Wineries’ Tour with our great tour guide /driver, David! David was funny and easygoing. We stopped at four vineyards, all four were gorgeous, and the guided tastings were fun and informative. At the first three vineyards, we tasted three wines each (a rose, a white, and a red), and at the last vineyard, we tasted four wines. The vineyards we stopped at were: Stonyridge Vineyard, Obsidian, Batch Winery, and Cable Bay Vineyards. We ate lunch at Batch Winery, and all the food was good. My only complaint is the size of the tour, it was 18 people, which felt a bit big. I also would have liked to have more time at the first and last vineyards. There wasn’t any time to have an additional glass of wine or even buy a bottle. But overall, we had a great time; I recommend the tour, and I would go again!

Waiheke Wine Tour by Enjoi Waiheke was an absolute delight from start to finish! The tour was impeccably organized, blending stunning scenery, exceptional wines, and a warm, knowledgeable guide, Sheree, who made the experience both fun and educational.

Each vineyard we visited offered something unique—from boutique, family-run charm to world-class wineries with breathtaking views. The wine tastings were generous and perfectly complemented by the fascinating stories behind each label.

Transportation was seamless, and every detail was thoughtfully curated, allowing us to fully relax and immerse ourselves in the island’s beauty and flavors. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet personal way to explore Waiheke’s renowned wine scene, this tour is a must. Highly recommend!

*Tip:* If you’re allowed, bring along some biscuits or cheese to pair with the wines—it helps balance the experience, as it can be a bit overwhelming with all the tastings. I was practically tipsy by the 6th sip!

**Suggestion:** Consider scheduling lunch earlier, around 12 PM instead of 2 PM, as many of us were quite hungry by the time we arrived at the restaurant.

We strongly advise against booking with Enjoi Waiheke.

We are extremely disappointed and shocked by our experience with Enjoi Waiheke. Between September 2024 and January 2025, we welcomed and hosted over 1,000 of their tour guests, providing quality wine and warm hospitality. However, Enjoi Waiheke has failed to pay for these services, and the outstanding amount now exceeds $16,000.

Despite sending over 50 emails and offering flexible payment arrangements, no effort has been made by the company to resolve this matter. The owner, Sheree Tucker, has not taken any steps to settle the debt, yet continues to operate tours.

We feel it is our responsibility to share this experience as a warning to others. We have formally reported the issue to the appropriate authorities to assist in recovering the amount owed. This behaviour is deeply unfair and not in line with the values of trust and collaboration expected in our local tourism community.

Michelle was our guide for our tour and she was delightful! She was so knowledgeable and patient which is so important for a tour like this. The wineries we visited ranged from small and quaint to huge estates. Trying to keep tabs on everyone can definitely be a challenge but she managed it well and made sure we made it back to our ferry on-time. At no point did we feel like we were being rushed along but we were told well ahead of time what time we would be moving along to our next stop along with some alerts before the deadline. When we showed up at the wineries, there was little time spent waiting for service which made the tour even better. This gave us ample time to try wines, shop and take in the spectacular views. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a taste of the Waiheke island wine scene.

If you are thinking about doing a Waiheke wine tour, we highly recommend you do it with Zoltan!
