We hired thrice with gorentals. The first two were good but the third one was extremely disappointing.
1. One of the front headlight was not working
2. The seat belt buckle was missing
3. The indoor light wasn’t working.
4. The plight of the kid car seat was pathetic.

When reported to the customer support the response was very casual not understanding the seriousness of how unsafe was it for them to provide a car like this.

We had a fantastic experience! We went for the no excess insurance package and everything went super smoothly. It only took 5 minutes for the check in and check out process, and the staff were so friendly and polite. We were even lucky enough to get a brand new hybrid Toyota RAV4 with only 230 km on the odometer, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Here are some tips that might help others:
– Use the app to request the shuttle.
– In August when we travelled, the Go rental app had the lowest booking price.
– They send you the inspection report with pictures right after you drop off the car, which is super quick.
– You have a 5-day period to pay the tolls.
– Be sure to allow extra time for refueling as the petrol station near the airport can get quite busy.
– No need to worry about extra or hidden fees, they didn’t charge any.

Really smooth and easy rental with this company. So lucky to rent using the winter package discount. Took the full insurance coverage and didn’t need any huge bond amount. They’re ruin suitcases.
I have good quality American trailer suitcases. My plane travel doesn’t affect my cases like one trip with go car rentals.
They’re have no non slip mats in their shuttles.
Drivers are rude. They do nothing to improve their business.

This is our 3rd rental with Omega – this time for 7 weeks as part of a holiday.
As always, we found our rental car to be very well maintained and spotlessly clean on pick up. Excellent staff at pick up (Auckland city) and drop off (Auckland airport). It ran beautifully for the whole trip.
We are happy to save money by having a slightly older car and usually spend some of that saving by reducing our excess with you which saves worrying about any scratches we might get (tho we returned it in good shape!)

We went with Omega for our NZ trip after checking out a bunch of options and I’m so glad we did. Their prices were great and the whole process from picking up the car at their CBD branch to dropping it off at the airport was super smooth. The car was in great condition and really easy to drive.

スタッフさん、親切にしていただきありがとうございます。 NZの北島を気ままに回りたくてレンタカーを借りました。日本と同じ左車線で、レンタカーも日本車のハイブリットで運転しやいです。ウィンカーとワイパーが逆なので何度も間違え焦りました。無料の高速道路や国道は100キロから120キロで飛ばしてます。下りのカーブなどちょっと怖くて60から80キロで走っていると後ろがイライラしているのが伝わってきますが、慌てず気をつけて！事故なく無事に前半の旅行を終了しほっとしました。
毎日250キロ位の移動を一人運転で5日間走りました。最初に200ドルを支払いなぜ？と思いましたが、保証金(デポジット)でした。後から返ってきます。
後半の街中は、電動キックボードやバスを利用しました。ハミルトンやオークランドは渋滞があるので、レンタカーを借りるなら郊外の周遊がオススメです。

Had an accident and called the Enterprise Team and the staff was amazing and making sure my parents and I were ok. Asked if the car was still drivable and stated it was, then sent out the claim form and sent it back and carry-on with my 10 day holiday.
I will differently rent my car through Enterprise and glad I got full insurance 0 excess.

Car was all scratched up and dirty. Nobody to walk with you to prove the pre-damage or any post damage-free inspection. They seem to only have 1 guest service. We had the horrible luck of checking out from Peter the grumpy old guy. He was so lazy to check our car upon return since I wanted to close everything in person. He wanted to check the car at his own time although nobody was even in the office. He felt entitled as if we owed him anything when we returned the car. We paid for the rental therefore WE are entitled to his service but he huffed and puffed and was quite rude about a simple check out transaction.

Definately would rent from Enterprise again. Quick pick up from the Airport and a rental car that only had 20,000kms on the clock, unlimited kms to drive and was super clean and tidy. The hybrid makes a huge difference for us because we travelled from Auckland to Taupo to Napier and back and only cost a total of around $150 in fuel.

Horrible experience. The lady staff is the worst car rental staff I have ever encountered
(There was only one staff who was working at the counter on 5 April, 9 am, so Enterprise you know who.)

Bad attitude, incompetence and inefficient.

Her inability has made everyone waits forever to pick up the car.

Ended up we have to cancel the booking and go to Avis. Picked up the car within 10 minutes.

Just a suggestion Enterprise. Hire someone with better attitude and skillsets. I am surprised the lady staff still has a job with such poor service.

This place is really far from the terminals. We actually walked there instead of waiting for the shuttle, but to put it simply, there was no direct path to get there, even though it looked straight forward on the map. We had to walk through/around multiple fenced off car parks, crossed a busy road, then back tracked.

When we arrived, there was only one person behind the counter. The process was relatively efficient up until the point when she tried to charge us a public holiday surcharge. We didn’t end up having to pay because we booked online and the deal was already final.

We hired a Camry and there were no issues. When we returned it, there were lots of people, and there was a 15-20 minutes wait for the one and only shuttle bus that had to work both the domestic and international terminals.

The ride was short but as we got off, there was an angry mob of people who claimed to have waited for an hour.

Excellent experience, the process for completing the web check-in was very smooth (this step is key to ensuring you only need to pick up the car). Afterward, a very attentive gentleman picked me up in the van, and we arrived at a well-organized branch where I quickly opted for the coverage to travel with peace of mind. There were plenty of brochures recommending plans in the city. The young lady who assisted me was very kind and took the time to tailor her suggestions based on my profile and what I was looking for on my trip, subtly offering recommendations.

I rented an SUV, and it met all my expectations—no issues, practically brand-new, and everything worked perfectly.

Honestly, I doubt I could choose another car rental option or any substitute if Snap is available. I highly recommend it without hesitation.

The company charged us a temporary fee of NZ$2000 until the repair costs were finalized, and my credit card was charged, but I have not heard back from them in a month. They have not sent me an invoice for the repairs, so I am unable to claim from my insurance company.

This is a fraudulent company. I am consulting with the embassy and other relevant agencies.

If you don’t want to go through all this hassle, you must book with another company.

Moreover, the car provided was a rather old small Yaris with 100,000 km on it. It is inconvenient because it is difficult to find the way because it cannot connect to a smartphone. You have to take a shuttle from the airport that is infrequent and does not run until opening hours, so it is very inconvenient to use.

There are many roads under construction in New Zealand, so no matter how careful you are, the car in front of you can still throw stones and crack your windscreen.

I strongly recommend you never use them.

修理費用が確定するまでの仮費用としてNZ$2000（約19万円ほど）を請求され、クレジットカードで決済されましたが、1ヶ月経っても連絡がありません。修理費の明細書も送られてこないため、別で入会していた保険会社に請求することができません。このままでは高額の引き落としが行われます。

この会社は詐欺会社と言わざるを得ないです。再度連絡をしても返信が来ないので、やむをえず大使館やその他の関係機関に相談しています。

このような面倒な手続きを避けたいのであれば、絶対に別の会社で予約してください。

しかも、提供された車は走行距離11万キロ近くのかなり古い小型ヤリスでした。予約画面からではこのような古い車が提供されることは分かりませんでした。古い車なので燃費が悪く、ガソリン代が高いニュージーランドで費用が嵩みます。スマートフォンと接続できず、カーナビも搭載されていないため、道案内を見ることができず大変不便です。空港から予約店が離れているため、シャトルバスに乗らなければなりませんが、本数が少なく、営業時間外は運行していないため、非常に不便です。

ニュージーランドでは工事中の道路が多いので、どんなに注意して車間距離を開け、交通ルールを守っていても、追い抜いてきた前の車の走行スピードが規則違反であれば、飛び石でフロントガラスにヒビが入ってしまう可能性があります。

少し安くても絶対に利用しないことを強くお勧めします。

It took me a bit to find the shuttle parking spot. But not bad at all. It is kinda nice snap rental is outside of the airport so I can return the car easily too. And probably lowered the cost for us. At first I was given a much bigger SUV than the one I hired on booking.com but they exchanged it for me. I am happy with that. The process of picking up the car and returning the car could not be easier and faster. JJ the employee was really warm and friendly and helpful! Thank you! Overall it has great value for money and the vehicle is not the newest condition but pretty reliable and was good with me for a whole month with lots of driving. I never heard of snap before but it seems to be a good NZ vehicular rental business I will go back again. I didn’t have any issues driving with the car but I do recommend that everyone has some kind of extra coverage. Usually New Zealand rental business will cover the basics but you will have to pay the excess (deductible) and it is quite high. You will need to pay even if you are at no fault. So I bought the cheaper one from booking.com but if something happens you would have to pay first and then deal with the insurance after. If you buy the protection with snap you will not have to pay the excess and they won’t keep the deposit during the rental period.

We hired the 19 seater toyota coaster bus for 18 days (family holiday) over easter 2024 from James blonde. The vehicle looked a little rusty from outside but what’s under the bonnet that mattered. The engine was very powerful with plentry of grunt, no issues going up steep hills and windy roads. There was a slight whining noise from the turbo at high revs but turned out to be a pleasant one for a car enthusiast as myself. One of the headlight bulbs burnt out during the latter part of our journey, got it replaced at the local mechanic, James Blonde were quick to reimburse the cost. I would use them again and recommend them highly. Cheers.

Always a pleasure to go here! It is the smallest of the rental businesses I’ve been too but has a servo right across the road which is helpful if you’ve forgotten to fill up. The process is easy but sometimes staff trip up. One girl asked for my credit card when I chose the Peace of Mind option (you don’t need to since there’s no bond for this option) Other than that, they’re great! I always choose GO for rentals!

Terrible.
Literal scam artists.
They made me pay $5000 for a scratch the size of my thumb and barely touching the paint. I took the full report and photos to multiple local dealerships that quotes $250-$430. Raised this multiple times to GoRental with the quotes. They are refusing to reimburse me anything and have kept the full $5000 cover fee and provided no documentation or supporting I formation.
It has been more than a year now.

The only thing I was not so happy about was the relocation fee since the staff didn’t mention it to me when she helped me make the booking. It was 150dollars from Auckland Airport to city and i think it’s a bit pricey Since i only needed 30bucks of taxi fee to get me to the airport location. I hope the company can make this part better or give us an option while we are making the booking.

The car hire process at GoRental Auckland was easy, but dealing with their admin was frustrating. After my parking fine was waived, they still charged a $60 admin fee just for transferring the ticket—totally excessive for such a simple task. Go rentals sure is one of the better rental agencies I’ve encountered. Not only was the reservation simple, the staff were absolutely fantastic too – cheerful and helpful all the way. Better still, their cars are well maintained even with 98,000 kilometres on the clock. The cabin was quite clean too, apart from some crumbs around the gear lever. However, the sat nav device provided was a bit outdated and required a specific address to begin navigating. This could be an issue for foreigners just looking to drive around while exploring NZ. I was unable to use my phone as an alternative either, since they didn’t provide a phone mount, so do keep that in mind. Again, despite those small niggles, I had an enjoyable experience with Go rentals. Overall, I would highly recommend this agency to those expecting a hassle-free rental experience.

We had to pick up the car quite late (by 1 hour) due to long queue at item declaration check at the airport but the staff able to respond well and delayed the shuttle pick up service. Even though, we chose Yaris but we got an Aqua, due to the staff saying they are providing newer car. But it was better in the end due to its hybrid engine and we saved half of our estimated fuel. Otherwise, good service.

Worst experience ever. Came here to pick up my rental for 21 days as we were planning to go from Auckland to Queenstown on a road trip.

I asked customer service prior to booking if I could use my Visa debit for the deposit of the car, and they said yes. So I booked many months ahead.

When picking up the car and I showed my Visa Debit of Revolut, the staff said they did not accept it to my surprise. His excuse was that it is a prepaid card, what the heck? It is a Visa Debit card and Revolut is one of the bigger banks of Europe. Why not accept it? The staff said they mention it in the confirmation email, which they did after I checked, and I missed that. But after sending Ezi car rental emails prior to booking, they never mentioned anything that Revolut card is not accepted. Why not mention this before I booked?

I tried other solutions, and offered my wife’s debit or credit card, or cash, and the staff did zero effort to understand my situation and rejected.

So here I was, in the morning of the start of my road trip, left in the dark by Ezi car rental and had to look for another rental.

I walked 100 meter and stumbled upon Omega Rentals. They accepted my Revolut Debit card and also accepted my wife’s debit card. You know the best part? Even though it was a last-minute booking, it was literally half the price of what I had booked with Ezi rentals months before!

So with this review, I want to tell other customers to avoid booking with Ezi. Their service is disgusting, rejecting a card of a major bank for deposit. I also want to thank Ezi car rentals in the same time, because of this ridiculous situation you saved me 50% budget in the car rental.

Ezi rental service is top gear service. we were a little bit late in trying to collect the vehicle on a Friday night.

We went to another rental company who were close by with one female staff being extremely rude and unhelpful.

We returned to Ezi early the next day to pick up a Mitsubishi Outlander 7-seater the staff in the office were absolutely outstanding thank you Rajat for your help we will use Ezi again on our next visit.

Hired this car in Auckland city for eight days. Great little car, economical on fuel, very comfortable and easy to drive. car had its own GPS for navigation. It also had USB points for your phone. I did around 1000 km over the week and never had an issue with the car. Pick up and return we’re both easy with the staff in the Auckland city office.. I would definitely use this company again if I go to New Zealand. I was late coming back by one day due to illness and it was no issue with the company.

I took this wonderful car on an adventure 2000+km around the North Island.

Ezi Car Rental was so great. I found VERY cheap rentals but the companies with very low prices have awful ratings and may have old and damaged vehicles.

For a wonderful off season price, I reserved a car through Ezi online. I was promised a 2018 or 2019 Yaris vehicle and was provided an upgrade to a Corolla Hybrid when I came to pick the car up. It was spotless and in awesome condition. It took under 10 minutes to pick up and start out!

I didn’t need any additional service but pick up and drop off staff were super friendly. I would 100% recommend the company.

*** Side note: I had planned to use Google maps, but I was upgraded to a car with a navigation system and it was amazing. The roads in NZ are not as easy to navigate as those in the USA and many other countries because the highways often go straight through small towns. Most highways are two lanes (one each way). Consider a navigation system. It was so great to be able to relax and listen to instructions (“At the roundabout in 300m, take the third exit”). Roads are not always clearly marked and change names often. Navigation helped as I was travelling alone.

Enjoy. The countryside is breathtaking.

This was actually the best offer of them all when I looked for the car. Good cars and ok service for a very very reasonable price. When you order a prius you get a prius (no place for lottery here) 🙂 On a slight downside, the car wasn’t what I would actually call “clean”.

Affordable car rental. I love the Renault Megane 1.2 Turbo, 5-star for it’s fuel effeciency. One full tank can last for almost 750 kms +.

The only setback during my rental with Hitch was they have omitted a booster seat for my child which I have booked online. However, the total booking price inclusive of the booster seat was charged to my credit card yesterday during my ‘After Hours’ pick up.

I had to buy a booster seat at The Warehouse because I did not want to be fined by the police. This has caused delay to my journey to Matamata and I have arrived there late at 10 pm.

Glad that they have refunded me back the amount.

Alles super geklappt! Preislich gut und ein lokales Unternehmen noch dazu. Bei der Abholung hat der Schlüssel nicht funktioniert aber das wurde sofort behoben (während der Reise fiel er wieder aus aber wir haben dann einfach altmodisch manuell auf- und zugesperrt). Das Auto war etwas älter und ein bisschen staubig innen aber wir sind 1 Monat damit gefahren und hatten nie ein Problem, die Scheibenwischer gehörten allerdings erneuert. Leider hatte es keinen AUX-Anschluss oder Bluetooth zum Musik hören außer dem Radio. Fähren-Tickets müssen selbst gekauft werden. Abgabe war schnell erledigt und wurden dann direkt per Shuttle zum Flughafen gebracht.

Went off without a “hitch.” The website wasn’t secure (no “https”) and I didn’t want to put my credit card information in, so I e-mailed the company and they got back to me quickly with my booking, allowing me to pay in-person when I arrived. When I landed at the airport, I called them and they came to pick me up promptly. I paid just a little over $200NZD for 6 days with included full insurance coverage (and I was 21 at the time of transaction!). The car was in great condition, and the price absolutely could not be beat by any of the other companies I looked at. Got to drive this cute, little, green Mazda from Christchurch to Kaikoura, Hamner Springs, and around the Northern part of the Southern Island over a long Easter weekend. When I arrived back in Christchurch to return the car, I was cutting it close to my flight departure time (as were the couple in the queue ahead of me) so I mentioned it and the employee on-duty was happy to deliver us to the airport and send us closing statements later on. All in all, a great experience!

The transfer from Auckland airport to the Hitch office was excellent and the office and car storage site are top class. Friendly staff who highlighted the number to call if there were any problems. The car looked good (although with a few more minor marks than from more expensive providers). I used it for a month with no problems arising and returned it to Christchurch airport which has the same quality of office staff and transfer service. Overall, my experience was top class.

The process to collect and return the car was hassle free and quick. The service rendered was amazing. They provided free shuttle to and fro from the airport. The car we rented was very nice and cozy. It was clean and everything works perfectly. The boot was very spacious. It was a small car which made driving and especially parking very easy a lot of places in Auckland requires parallel parking. They even helped me sort out my booking as I made a mistake in my collection date even when I couldn’t change it on Expedia. Very satisfied with this company’s services and the car!

We rented a van for a family of 5 for 3 and a half month. The car was great, we had no problems. We changed the place of relocation and needed the car 2 days longer. Everything was possible without problems. The staff in the stores are not always customerfriendly, especially if you are from abroad. Even an Email contact or a recall didn’t work. But I absolutely recommend Hitch! Next time again!
