Anita from Vinka Design comes with my highest recommendation! I began my search for wedding dresses a year in advance and discovered the Rosana Bridal Gown on the Vinka Design website. I was immediately drawn to the dress but decided to continue exploring other options. Eventually, I made an appointment with Anita to see the dress in person. The moment I tried it on, I fell in love. The dress was simple yet elegant, sophisticated, and light to wear, and I adored how it fluttered as I walked. Although I tried on a few other dresses, deep down, I knew I had found *the* dress and didn't need to look any further. Anita took my measurements and started creating my special dress. I thoroughly enjoyed our fitting appointments; Anita is incredibly kind and interesting to talk to. When the dress was ready, she gave me tips on how to walk and turn in it. I also decided to get a veil, which I hadn't initially planned on, but it added a special touch to the dress for the ceremony. The dress is amasing—I received so many compliments on the day, and I wish I could wear it every day! Initially, I thought I would sell it after the wedding, but now I want to keep it as a cherished memory of my very special day. Thank you, Anita, for making such a magical dress for me!

My most heartfelt thanks to Anita and the Vinka team for creating my heavenly bespoke gown this past February. From our initial consultation to my numerous email essays, the support and communication were superb. After imagining a fusion between the 'Marija' & 'Marcella' gowns, accompanied by cathedral and blusher chantilly lace-edged veils, I was ecstatic to recieve hand-drawn sketches of the designs and a sample of the luxurious silk dupion in the mail. As I live out of town, the team were so very accommodating and made the creation process seamless - on multiple occasions they did two fittings over a weekend & altered the gown overnight, as to reduce my trips to Auckland. Every Vinka gown is built to the bride, which most definitely elevates Vinka above the market, as they create a personalized art-piece, every time! On the most wonderful day of my life, I had the privilege of becoming a Vinka bride, joining 60 years of women who have walked before me, in my glorious gown that is everything I could have dreamt and more! I came to Anita 2 years before my wedding and was an international bride. The Vinka team were incredibly flexible with me being based overseas. Anita’s warmth and enthusiasm always made me feel so welcome and special whenever I came in, no matter how long apart. I remember not being sure what I wanted at first, and trying on all the most amazing gowns, as Anita pieced together the elements I loved. I instantly trusted her expertise in designing something that was beautiful, and also personalised to me. She listened carefully to what I wanted and had fabulous ideas of how to make it work. She was also flexible to adjusting the design leading up to the wedding before the team began seeing, which I was grateful for. The end result was truly fabulous and I was in love. Ever since I was a little girl, I imagined getting married in a classic dress inspired by icons like Grace Kelly and although this style is far more common in Europe, there was nothing quite like it in NZ. I tried on so many beautiful dresses, but none of them quite fit my vision. My mum found Vinka Designs and encouraged me to reach out and it was the best decision I made. I met Anita for an initial consultation, and she was just as excited about my dress as mum and I have been. The love she poured into the sketches, the fittings and our chats was an incredibly fulfilling experience. I actually felt like royalty. We picked the fabrics together, and she even went above and beyond by getting her scouts in Europe and Asia to find the perfect lace for me. In the end, we used one that was already in her workshop - as if it was waiting for me this whole time. My dress was made by hand, and most of if had to actually be ‘made’ on me, which was such a special experience. Thank you Anita for pouring so much love into my dress. All of my guests were wowed by it and I felt like the luckiest girl to be getting married to my best friend in my fairytale gown.
