Had a fantastic dinner at Wildfire! The service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The chicken and lamb were absolutely beautiful, perfectly cooked and packed with flavour. I definitely overindulged, but it was worth every bite. Can’t wait to come back!

Been to Wildfire several times and always had the Churassco experience, tonight we tried the A LA Carte Menu. The food and service is always exemplary, Reuben our waiter was really geared towards excellence in customer service. Our steaks were done to perfection.

Wide collection of meats
Must go with the premium one as it gives great extra meat options and includes dessert
The food was a tad salty for my taste
The servers were excellent
They have live music from 7pm onwards

Haven’t been in sometime but not as great as it use to be however still good.

Good variety of meats except the sirloin which you had to specifically ask for multiple times which I didn’t like. Cocktails were way too sweet.

Staff were faultless and attentive.

This is a high end restaurant. They are halal but for groups bigger than 8 they only do their buffet which is 82$/head.
We did ala-carte. Their manager always kind enough to allow given that we were 13 people.

Multiple dishes and good food.
With drinks 70/head on an average no dessert. So maybe should have just taken the buffet options . Steaks are good. The sizes of dishes are generally on the small let side

Imagine walking up into a restaurant and being asked for I.D. The service was okay, but there was nothing to brag about. There was a waiter/service person who kept asking me for I.D. no one else had asked.
I would have taken better photos, but the atmosphere just wasn’t good at all. They were complaining about how I gathered oysters on a plate. Really! I am sure I wasn’t the only one who does this, but to explain that I would not have to get up and walk around many times, the bowl saved me a few trips.
The squid and prawns/shrimp that was cooked for me was stringy, flavourless, and undercooked(they identify as chefs). Seriously though, it all could have been so much better, and I had been there a few times and never written a thing on them before, and yet the food those past times was so much better.
The customer service was not good enough, and it took 1 or 2 service staff that spoilt the atmosphere for me. Truly appalled by that alone, the lack of photos proves that.
People who want better food for your hard earned money, seriously go elsewhere, try somewhere better, I am sure you’d get a lot more for what you pay for dinner. One good thing was that the desserts were good. 2/10.

We visited from Melbourne last week and the buffet dinner is highly recommended. Wide range of food, taste is good, private cooking for your meals and the Executive Chef is an Amazing guy. He made the dining experience very personal and his enthusiasm/friendliness is one of a kind. The hotel is very fortunate to have him. I have been to 48 countries and dined in all sorts of restaurants, this is the first time I have experienced a “personable” Chef! Keep up the good work, Exec Chef!

Big selection of items for the breakfast menu and the hot choc/mocha tasted really good. Fruits and juices were very fresh and yummy. If you cannot decide what you want to eat or have a picky eater then definitely go here. They also provide complimentary cake slice when celebrating special occasions. I’ve been to breakfast and lunch a few times and totally worth it.

Indeed a unique interactive dining experience!
Great food ( , , amazing!!! our favorite was the grilled seafood )
staff are amazing , chef did an excellent job
Thank you for the complimentary piece of cake – so yummy!
I wanted to give 5 star but just 4 because of the atmosphere – the ceiling is too low, and not much well lit.
Otherwise Highly recommended to celebrate special occasions.

I really enjoyed the farewell lunch buffet here with my colleagues. Lovely environment and wonderful customer service. Love the venison sausages and marinated lamb. Sashimi are fresh, but sushi rolls are just average. Butter chicken and garlic prawns are super delicious. Desserts are nice, among which the Brulee is the best!

We enjoyed our lunch & birthday celebration, such a memorable experience. The Staff were amazing, very friendly, welcoming & polite. The Maori waitress deserves a special mention she was fantastic!.

I felt there was a good variety & selections of foods on offer for the price. If there was lobster at the seafood bar l would’ve given 5 stars! The quality of food is still better than fortuna or valentines.

We had lunch at Fortuna last April 5 to celebrate our friend’s birthday. I wasn’t able to take pictures of the food, not even the ones I got for myself. I only managed to take a photo of my favorite, seafood and salad. The food was delicious and definitely worth it.

I came to Fortuna Buffet for Mother’s Day lunch. It was a lovely outing, and as expected for the occasion, the restaurant was quite full and lively.

The lamb shanks were definitely the standout for me. They were tender, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed that dish.

The rest of the buffet was enjoyable, with a good variety of options. Given how busy it was, the staff did well to keep everything running smoothly, and I appreciated their efforts.

I would love to return on a quieter day to take in the atmosphere and flavours in a more relaxed setting. A nice spot for a special occasion with family.

Had an amazing time at Fortuna Buffet Restaurant. The location is super convenient in the CBD, perfect if you’re around SkyCity or just exploring central Auckland.

I was to rate this buffet 5 stars due to the variety of food and value for money, however the taste of food was not great (I know it is a personal preference). They charged $77 for two adults and when you pay $5.50, you’ll get unlimited drinks and I think it’s a really good price. Their service was excellent and the staff was amazing. You get concession parking when you spend >$40. I would definitely go back there.

This is the worst review I hope to post, though I’d be guilty of supporting substandard effort.
I wasn’t compelled to give a star either
It is no longer a restaurant you want to visit for a special family quality dinner, standards have completely dropped
I didn’t need a reservation this time, so if that’s a bonus, I’d still recommend your favorite takeaway dinner. Smell, Visual appeal, course combinations, texture and flavors are my buzz at a dinner outing. Of course, at a buffet restaurant you dress these yourself, so it’s a semi chef/customer experience.
Arrival: People waited too long for a seat at an almost empty restaurant. The front desk seemed more concerned with customers who’d left than those arriving. The manager behaved like security not concierge The dinner cost $67.50 pp (so I was excited, price had increased considerably since my last visit for a birthday)
Visual: It’s missing ambience, the tables were bare and food court looking, I studied each station to ponder my courses, immediately I wasn’t pleased certain foods appeared dry and mismatched by description salads had none of the seasonal fruits and blends and looked out of a packet boring.
Smell: there were smells of ‘off’ meat in the Bain Marie’s (not sure which, so pictured). Bland actually has a Smell too, it’s a nothingness ‍♀️
Course combinations: Seafood, Soup station, Cheese, fruit and nut selections (Entrée) is really as far as I went personally. My husband and best friend had dishes remaining on their plates, so this otherwise confirmed my suspicions.
I tasted them to 1. Not waste food and 2. Not behave like a snob. I shouldn’t have because thereafter I was irritable and complaining.
Thanks to an intimate relationship with Bourbon and coke from their bar, I left speechless and my husband wasn’t embarrassed by me at the end of the night.
I do give thanks for staff slapping a cupcake on a plate with chocolate sauce birthday wishes for my husband (at request).
A message to the chef/s – An empty guest plate is the best compliment, Get out to more family picnics, small cafés and restaurants to experience flavors, thaw your frozens and turn down the temperature of your fridge for your daily goods, marinades and sauces do not disguise rotting products and finally, less is more when done with confidence and love.
No, I’m not a chef, I’m a marae cook and there’s never food left on my plates.
Let me know when you feel your restaurant matches price. I’m always open to being corrected

Very large selection for lunch. There are only 2 reasons for the 4 star rating… 1. I cut my gum on a dry over cooked piece of ham and 2. $8.95 for a bottomless softdrink seemed excessive.

Options for food: Not great for vegetarians, however for anyone else is also not the greatest. Unfortunately for you gluten free and / or dairy free people, there is nothing for you. Food, taste: Not bad, most of it tastes pretty made with the exception of the beef and lamb. But let’s talk about the garlic bread. It looks like it’s from Pizza Hut ™️, kinda tastes like it but I, personally haven’t had Pizza Hut ™️ garlic bread on a while, so I’d say try it and let me know because that’s on my mind a bit. Service: It was good, not that fast for drinks but it was a bit busy so can’t really complain about that. Bathroom’s: Pretty good, up to standard I’d say. Few stalls in there (to be precise: 3 in mens, about 5 in woman’s) 2 taps for both of the bathrooms. Value for money: not worth it, overpriced for decent food. Might come back and wouldn’t really recommend but if you really wanted to, then that’s your call.

Been here 3 times in the last 3 months lol for birthday dinners and lunch. Yummy delicious tasty variety of food. Seating comfortable, plenty parking. Good customer service. Always get good value for money from here, there’s a lot of options to choose from. The cooks are always very fast when cooking your meal, and there’s a great range of salads available. The pancakes and ice cream are a nice sweet treat at the end as well. The only thing is it can get pretty overcrowded in here.

I had a group booking of 35 (including 10 children).

Staff and service are OUTSTANDING.
Quick to remove dirty plates from the table and to replace empty water jars and working multiple jobs from front desk to pancake maker etc.

Our booking was quite early in the night so we were able to get food relatively easy until other groups showed up.

Food is good, equal to what you’re paying for. There was always food available and refilled. I chose this place mostly for the ease and affordability for a large group rather than the actual food as it was better than a lot of other buffets in the area.

Only critique is what I feel is a lack of transparency or information regarding the different prices for children under 13.

For a large group where you’ve planned all the expenses for the 1 bill payment at the end it was surprising to realise on arrival that there are tiered prices for each age from 1-12.

I did my own research and didn’t find any details of this online and when I was given information via text regarding my booking and deposit (photo attached) there wasn’t much there for me to question it further.
Note: I took the photo at the place after they advised me of the different prices.

On my arrival they were quite dismissive of my annoyance at not being made aware of the different prices. There’s a difference between paying $13.90 and $25.90 (age 12) and I understand the need for different prices for those children who are closer to 13 etc however my critique is more around not being made aware of that beforehand.

Aside from that hitch in the beginning I was very happy with the night which is why I haven’t changed my overall 4 star rating.

Attached photos for those needing information for future bookings as there’s no website and I don’t have Facebook.

Not the best photos I’ve taken and it certainly doesn’t do justice for my experience here! The best place to go if you have a BIG appetite (I ate 4 plates lol). Originally had a booking and needed to cancel some people last minutes which they handled nice and quickly. Place has nice atmosphere, not super crowded even though filled with people. Buffet food was pretty good but the best one is when you get to make your own food. I recommend trying to follow their suggested sauces as they are sooooo yum! Only thing is sometimes you might feel pressure from the people behind you but take you time anyways 🙂 Also stuff your bowl since the food shrink.. a lot haha. Will definitely come back here again!

It was good- desperately needs automatic sauce dispensers for sauces as it’s time consuming to ladle them when the line moves fast. Not enough options for dessert and no bottomless drinks which is disappointing. Not clean either- windows are dirty. Wouldn’t recommend.

I came here because I saw the name driving past. Idly is not often offered in other Indian restaurants in New Zealand. When I entered I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was the only non Indian in the place, (which is always a good sign in my opinion) and a buffet was set up for lunch. When I asked one of the team members they explained what all the different dishes and sauces were. Everyone was super friendly. After a sampling round I had two more servings. I especially enjoyed the dosas which were being made to order. Delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.

Good spot for South Indian food.
We tried Dosa and the kids ate idly, it was prepared fresh. The staff was very warm and helpful.
We also drank coffee, which was not a traditional filter coffee but it was good.

Good spot to enjoy Dosas.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was rich in flavor and authenticity, exactly what you’d hope for in an Indian restaurant. As someone who values traditional taste over just aesthetics, this place truly delivers. While the presentation wasn’t overly fancy, the quality and taste of the dishes more than made up for it. Great service topped it all off. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

When people think of South Indian food, the first (and only) thing that comes to mind is idly and sambar, maybe dosa.

Although the crowd favourite there is so much more diversity to South Indian cuisine and this is what the owner of the restaurant “Idly Sambar” want to drive home. Providing access to a diverse range of good South Indian food.

The restaurant is situated in Kingsland, which is centrally located and a little bit outside of the city hubbub. Parking is limited and charged Frankly I was not impresses by that at all!

It is a good sized venue with several industrial fans to help keep the place cool.

I specifically went for the unlimited Andhra Thali. It is unlimited and served table side ‍ I had to wait quite long for the first thali to come, about 20 minutes ⏳️ but the replacements came within a minute of my asking.

Usually I don’t care much for rice but this rice was fluffy and delicious. Their sambar was out of this world and I had four bowls! The dal was tasty. I also liked their mixed veg curry and had two bowls. The halwa was velvety and melted in my mouth ✨️ It wasn’t too sweet, which Indian desserts sometimes tend to be. The roti was a bit thicker and the tempura fried veg was a great accompaniment.

The bowls are quite small. I guess it’s to reduce wastage, and it doesn’t matter much, since it is unlimited

I wish that the staff would have come and asked me if I wanted anything more, instead of my having to try and grab their attention when they walked ‍♂️ past. That would have elevated the experience.

It is simple food, simply made After eating you don’t have that heavy feeling. You feel satiated and satisfied ❤️

I visited Idly Sambar for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by their anniversary promotion offering an unlimited buffet for $10. Overall, I had a good experience. Some dishes stood out with very good taste, such as Veg Korma, Manchurian, Jackfruit Biryani, and Peanut Chutney, which were very flavorful. Other items like Veg Noodles, Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, Suji Halwa, and Idly were good but could be very good on the next dining experience. I think I should not expect more at $10. I appreciate the variety and value for money and look forward to visiting again. Overall I am happy and recommend every to visit Idly sambar to taste the southern part of India cuisine.

I recently visited Idly Sambar South Indian Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was outstanding! The food was absolutely amazing. The Dahi Puri was incredibly delicious, bursting with flavour. As for the dosas, they were perfectly crisp and served with a variety of tasty chutneys and sambar. Each bite was a delight! The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall great dining experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine – definitely a 5-star experience!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. And that’s on the customer services. Went there with my family for a birthday dinner, group of 9-10 people including an infant. They had everything prepared and ready for us prior didn’t need to be asked again. The man at the front desk was extremely polite, helpful and taken his time to show us around for first timers. Even though it got busy he made sure we were settled. We Love the vibe and energy from him. Gave the birthday lady a little gift for cake and my baby daughter a cute toy watch too! How sweet.
As for the food, so worth for what you’re paying for! Different varieties of fresh, cooked and cold foods, PLUS UNLIMITED DRINKS?! Omg. Broth was super yummy and came out quick after putting through the orders. Definitely food coma. Would 200% come here again. Everyone was happy. Thank you for having us

Last night we ate at Wow Buffet for the first time, also being mine and my partners first hot pot experience. Wow Buffet gave us such an amazing experience! The food was amazing, all you can eat and drink Buffet. A variety of cold and hot foods to choose from, the soups were flavourful. What topped it off was the friendly staff and how welcomed we were from the moment we walked in. Such a creative fun way to eat. We will definitely be coming back and can see this becoming our go-to place to eat. Thank you

The name Wow Buffet suits it perfectly! The food selection was plenty and they have separate sections for desserts. I love their sichuan hot pot base. Next time, I will try their other soup bases. They have varied meat, veggies and other ingredients for hot pot. On top of that, they have the warm dishes.

One thing I like about this restaurant is how they have enough space between tables. Moreover, they have people moving around collecting plates so your table is not messy.

Drinks like sodas and plum juice are free! Rare to see buffet restaurants offering free drinks.

Highly recommended buffet and I will come back a few times here. The price is just 40 for an adult and 20 for kids. Great value and good food!

You need to make a reservation especially on weekends as it gets full. They have a 2-hr eating time, which is fanstastic!

The best hot pot buffet we’ve ever experienced. I’ve already recommended to my friends. The service is amazing, they explained how everything worked and gave us recommendations and explained how everything worked. the food is lovely, I tried so many new foods and got to indulge in some favourites, I loved the deep fried taro balls in the buffet and our hot pot flavours were so good, we were already talking about what flavours we wanted to try next time. We came for a family birthday and they even blew him a balloon to take home. We really appreciated the kind gesture. Cheers to a lovely night! We’ll see you again!

One of our new favourite restaurants! You get your money’s worth for the variety of food they have to offer. Whether you want hot pot or BBQ, they have it all. And to top it off, they have lots of seafood for those who enjoy eating shellfish, crabs, etc.

The decoration is really beautiful as well. Lots of parking nearby. Friendly staff but sometimes really hard to communicate with if you’re not speaking their language. Great for couples, friends, and families.

Definitely our go to eat-all-you-can buffet!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The selection of food was impressive, with a wide variety that included meats, salads, seafood, and more. Drinks and desserts were also included, adding great value to the meal.

The venue was well-presented, with a comfortable table setup that allows you to BBQ and cook your food right at the table – a fun and interactive touch that enhances the dining experience.

The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant became quite busy shortly after we arrived, so I would recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure you get a table.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant – it’s definitely worth trying.

This is the best bang for the buck BBQ and Hotpot Buffet in Auckland. They also have nice cooked food and drinks included on the buffet. I recommend reserving in advance as it gets really crowded on weekends. Take note that they have a 90-minute time limit, but for sure, you’ll be full before that. We will surely be back here.

Excellent food but my god it took us alot of affort to speak to the couple of the ladies working there who don’t speak English. How can you establish a restuarant in an English speaking country and have people who don’t speak English up front as waitresses?! Anyways the guy there spoke English and finally seated us and showed us how to use the hotpot functions etc which were all in Chinese also.

Recently, It have been very popular in this area. The food is delicious, but salty. I feel very thirsty after eating. I have to drink a lot of water while eating. In the end, I can’t eat much. After dinner, I feel hungry again before going to bed. After eating, I keep drinking water when I go home. I feel thirsty even the next day. This happens several times. I don’t know why. By the way, I really like their rice noodle salad in the first picture.

We were given a tour of everything once we said it was our first time.
Paid for bbq and hotpot and givena choice of hotpot flavours. These were topped up as needed.
Each seat had their own hotpot element and table.shared a large internally vented bbq plate.

The food was delicious. Clean and staff were great non judgemental. Smiled alone and always came to change the BBQ paper. The meat was fresh and a good selection. The sweet and sour was one of my favorites. Enjoyed the soup station. The restaurant was clean. Normally, the handles are sticky at other places, they kept theirs clean. All in all, it’s just a nice place for a kai. Would recommend

I been here 2 years ago and decided to have dinner tonight with my family. The quality seems to drop down. Meat and other hot food are taste good but Ice cream and dessert are taste bad. Paper plate for customer to pick food. It’s make me feel cheap restaurant but I pay almost $40 per person in New Market area. Feeling disappointed tonight. Toilet is so dirty, floor should be maintenance.

Everything here is neat and clean. attentive service staff, they often change the baking paper even though we don’t ask for it. The restaurant has both grill and hot pot. They have the comfortable seats with convenient grill design. The hot pot doesn’t have many options. Various grilled meats, vegetables served with grilled meat are good. The aisle at the food stall is quite narrow, just for one person.
Meal times are limited to less than two hours, so everyone pays attention about that. It’s crowded all time, so it’s best to book a table in advance. Otherwise you have to wait a long time outside.

We went admittedly at the end of their day to celebrate my cousins 50th birthday. The chowder was gd after I added shrimp & the calamari. But was not impressed with wat food there was. It looked as though they had served Mondays leftovers. I was with seven others & did mean to complain but have not called. Otherwise the woman at the front of house was very efficient as we dwardled our way in & different people paying etc etc. Was impressed with her efficiency, & how she was able to process everyone separately with eas. Well-done you. The atmosphere suited the room. 3/10.
My cousins have been & go frequently as I’ve seen that heart that the ladies in my family love as a photo background. The men) boys in our group left us to it, lol. It was a bit cramp and it would have been nice to have a bigger table even though there were only eight of us.

I gave this place a 1 star in 2012 because the staff member cutting up the steak had no business serving customers. This time around, it was so much better. Lamb has become a rarity for buffets, so of course, I went up plenty of times. Food and service was top notch. Happy Days deserves redemption.

Im not very picky when it comes to food but this was definitely not it. The food was bland , had a weird smell to some dishes and also tasted like it had been reheated / reused foods . Service was as per normal in any restaurant, went in a group and a couple of us got OVER CHARGED!! please make sure to always grab your receipt and double check before paying.
