I would highly recommend The Kung Fu School in Remuera as a welcoming and professional martial arts school.
The curriculum is a fantastic blend of traditional techniques and modern approaches, ensuring there's always something new to learn. Additionally, the instructors are incredible – they really take the time to ensure you understand the techniques while encouraging you to push yourself. Whether you're a beginner or have some martial arts experience, the classes are adaptable and engaging for all levels.
I think what sets this school apart is the amazing atmosphere – The sense of camaraderie among students is something special; it really feels like a community.

I have been attending classes here for at least a couple years now and I love it! The Kung Fu Instructor Chai is a natural at teaching, very organised with lesson plans and always makes it super fun and engaging. It's one thing to be able to pass on knowledge and experience, but it's another to pass on passion. Training here has not only developed my martial arts skills, but also deepened my love for Kung Fu. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Training at the Remuera club is awesome! Instructor Chai always manages to skillfully balance teaching beginners while challenging senior members at the same time. Classes can be tough but are always fun and rewarding, and the support, passion and technical expertise you get makes every step of the journey worthwhile.

I discovered Kung Fu through a self defense class that was taught at our work by the instructor Chai and his students. I gave it a go and was hooked immediately. This is such a fun, challenging and rewarding sport. I absolutely love my time in Chai’s classes - he is an amazing instructor with a passion for this martial art that he shares with his students. Never too late to start! 🙂
