Best place in Auckland for gifts and souvenirs and just outright great selection of made in NZ items.

Best gift shop in NZ. After 2 weeks traveling all over NZ, we wish we did all our shopping here. Why is it so difficult to find a decent gift shop? Thankfully we did purchase a lot here. Great products, maybe not the cheapest in town but everything under one roof.
Mr.Worldwide (☆ 5/5)

This was the quaintest little store, such an absolute storybook nook of a shop. We popped in just to have a quick look and left with a very helpful jar of kawakawa balm. The beautiful lady at the counter was incredible and so warm too, and was definitely the reason we ended up exploring the store (our errand list was so full and we only meant to have a tiny peek). She answered our questions, helped us with our purchase, and was so friendly that we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back. This is a wonderful place to stop by if you want beautifully made, high-quality, uniquely local gifts for friends or for yourself. 100% recommend and we will definitely be back.
Ruth LX (☆ 5/5)

A cosy and wonderful shop with amazing and wonderful staff that makes you feel welcome upon entering, all the items found here where locally sourced and made and everything comes with its own artistic take yet so functional for daily use. I had to make another visit to pick up some lovely wool scarves that were so soft to the touch.
Its a shops that will showcase interesting locally made items which I have not seen anywhere elese, you not regret a visit here even for a browse.
SChan (☆ 5/5)

Best souvenir shop in Auckland. Everything in stock 100% authentic New Zealand made. Shop is a little bit ‘tucked away’ but well worth the effort to find it.Very friendly staff.
Wayne Renner (☆ 5/5)

What a tourist’s dream! Absolutely loved browsing through this gorgeous gift shop. From artwork to merino wool to children’s toys, it’s impossible to walk out without a bag of goodies.
The customer service was outstanding, we were greeted, offered gift wrapping services and treated with kindness. The whole environment was welcoming and warm.
Highly recommend their wool soaps and merino wool products! Must visit if you’re visiting Auckland!
RR Scheuner (☆ 5/5)

Wendy Febrita (☆ 5/5)

Merchant was helping other customers & acknowledged me as I browsed. He was about to carry a large art piece to the customer’s car but before he left he opened the case I was looking at & left me alone in the shop….such trust, so refreshing! I purchased a beautiful pendant by Michael Giradin, a one of a kind piece. Parnell is a charming suburb of Auckland. Definitely worth a visit. Be sure to stop by Kiwi Art for genuine Maori art.
Patrice Mccaffrey (☆ 5/5)

OK Gift Shop
Review on 2072/2024
This is very close to the Auckland Cruise Ship Terminal. The shop signs are big and very visible to passers-by.
It carries a large range of products, from clothing to cshoes, place mats to fridge magnets, very cute soft toy, especially the little fluffy white sheep.
There are souvenirs with imprints of fern, and kiwi fruit.
The store is big, bright and clean. It is quite a souvenir paradise for tourists as for the local.

Bought a few things for Mother’s Day and absolutely love the range of gifts this store has. Website was super easy to use and shipping was very fast and arrived in plenty of time. Gift wrapping and card were a lovely additional touch. Will definitely be buying here again as I live overseas and am always looking for gifts online!

Excellent customer service! Went in store to buy a secret santa gift – I was given a quick demo and got free gift wrapping! I rang first before going in and my question was cheerfully answered by the same lady that was in store.
Lots of interesting items in the store. I wanted to stay longer but I was in a rush.
Transaction was completed in less than 5 minutes! Another plus point!
Keep it up with the carefully curated products and top notch customer service (which some businesses seem to take for granted nowadays).

Fabulous service from this business online. I needed a particular item to replace something a dear friend had lost. Anna could not have been more helpful. We couldn’t get the exact item as it’s no longer made but she found me something very similar from the same manufacturer and got it shipped straight to me really quickly. Exceptional customer care.

I had such a lovely experience at Sylvia Park Acquisitions! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel truly special — welcoming me with genuine smiles and offering help without being pushy. The customer service was absolutely outstanding; they were patient, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to help me find exactly what I was looking for. The store itself is beautifully set up, with such an elegant and calming atmosphere. You can really tell that attention to detail is a priority here. I left feeling happy, valued, and excited to come back. Highly recommend!

This is a nice shop, but my wife went in looking for a product they usually have and asked the person on the counter if they were getting anymore in and they were not very helpful, Didnt know and had no idea. She walked out, so there’s a sale gone .If you want to make a sale and the products are not there and you get no explanation you go else where, unfortunately that’s why so many places are going out of business.
george peart (☆ 3/5)

Great place to buy the gifts, souvenir’s for people from all age group. It’s a big shop so varieties options to choose from. The shop items keep changing throughout the year which is a good thing. The only downside is that all the products are expensive but of good quality.
Abhijeet Kale (☆ 4/5)

Perfect place for Christmas shopping and gift shopping. So many varieties of gifts for very reasonable price plus really good customer service.
Rufus Ranatunga (☆ 5/5)

The staff was very rude when asked to wrap the glass lotus items separately. She took the items and put it in the back counter. I spent so long selecting items. Used to be my go to place, will never visit this place again. Very bad customer service, seems like a grumpy staff, not interested to do any sale.
Mobile Surender (☆ 1/5)

Such a nice place to visit for some gifts and souvenirs. Inside Sylvia Park Shopping Centre.
Richie (☆ 5/5)

It is one of the best shop for gifts. They have a variety of gifts for all occasions and I would recommend it for anyone but I was disappointed with the customer service given recently when I went for Christmas shopping. The lady at the reception wasn’t very friendly and was not helpful when I asked for something. She looked very bored and not in the right place during such a happy season. I felt like she wanted to avoid serving me. I had received such great customer service before from this shop that I was a bit not happy. A smile can go a great way. And especially at the reception it would add happiness to this joyful season. I would have given a five star if not for that reception lady.

I was looking for kiwiana gifts to take with me overseas. They have really nice decoration items made from paua and greenstone. They also have jewelry and other items. Most of the items seem to be from New Zealand but there are some greenstone from Canada. It is a nice place to stop for something interesting without breaking the bank. I grabbed a few of the wall decor boxes but they didn’t come in a box. they were bubble wrapped though for protection.

The comments about being followed around the store is true. I went there in different days cause I was waiting for other people to decide what they want and the man was really nice, he even gave me a discount. The girl was always helping with any doubt that I had but always keeping an eye on me and everyone to make sure no ones was going to rob but that was intense. You could felt the look without even looking at her. And the worst of them was the old lady, very rude. I was taking photos of some necklaces to someone in another country but they didn’t decide while I was there and she just took everything from my hand immediately. Really RUDE.
At the end, I bought 2 maori masks there. The big one in hardwood was ($159,00) and the small one in metal was ($30,00).
Also bought 2 necklaces of Paua Shell for ($35,00/each) and another one of silver for ($19,90).
