It’s okay. Great as an affordable option. Lots of equipment. Friendly environment and best of all its not as busy as a typical conventional gym.
Drawbacks include a small carpark, bit awkward to drive in and out off at times. Toilet and shower facilities leave a lot to be desired in terms of space and cleanliness, but this can again be due to the style of building it is.
I personally prefer a conventional gym, but I’m surer it’s a great option for others seeking value, a solid fitness community and location.

I joined Invictus recently and I am stoked! it definitely stands out from the rest of the gyms in Auckland. The unique wide variety of machines are quality built and sturdy which really makes your workouts that much better, my personal favourite is the incline chest press machine that has 8 different angles available! Management is also professionally handled here resulting in an overall tidy and relaxed environment but at the same time encouraging to get fit !!

There’s truly no place like KnoxFit. The community here is incredibly welcoming- no egos, just people of all fitness levels training together and lifting each other up.
The coaches are exceptional, each bringing their own expertise, from Olympic lifting to gymnastics. I walk away from every class having learned something new, and that keeps me coming back.
I also love that there is the chance to take Motus classes at KnoxFit. They offer a broader perspective on movement, incorporating elements like calisthenics, handstands and body control!
Even though it takes me 30 minutes to drive there every morning, it’s absolutely worth it. There may be closer gyms, but none with the same energy, support, and quality of coaching that KnoxFit offers.

Ok, strap in while I gush about this place. I’ve worked my way through all your classic group exercise institutes, i.e. F45, BFT, but (and no shade to those places, they are great in their own right) but Lift Club is something else. It’s independently owned, rather than being a franchise, and it shows in the investment they have for their members.
The program structure is intelligent and consistent. You can detail all your weights with the accompanying app so you know exactly what you’re doing from session to session and track your progress.
Jax and Ella know their stuff and somehow manage to keep up with the progress of every individual member. The effort that they put into the community, even outside of gym hours, is incredible. They’re available practically 24/7 via online chat and are always organizing side activities (like puppy rescue meet and greets) I honestly don’t know how they have the energy. Exercise I guess?
And said community is next level. Everyone is so supportive, it’s such a treat to get to train with friends every morning and celebrate each other’s wins.
I’ve gone from strength to strength at this gym (see what I did there?) and none of it is by accident, it’s all been thanks to clear and specific programming and unwavering support.

Love this Place, vibes are good programing is always on point. Hayden our head Coach is a great coach. Class times are structured right. I have progressed so much from training at the training lab in comps and also in classes. I highly recommend the Training lab to anyone and everyone.

Love this Gym!! Every workout has the best energy, it’s like working out with friends, Hayden has created a gym with everyone in mind, wether you are recovering from an injury, just starting out or really want to be challenged and improve muscle and strength. Each session Hayden gives us one on one coaching, so we are getting the best of both worlds, a group workout mixed with a PT!

This place is great if you are just starting out at a gym. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Take advantage of the free consultations, such a nice touch to have something like this as part of the membership. The facilities are well laid out and clean. Other gym goers just mind their own business, definitely a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Overall a great place!

My partner and I enjoyed our experience at this gym. Plenty parking, easy to access, plenty of classes, although we didn’t try any. We enjoyed the gym equipment area, lots of space, and stretching area, functional space, separate male and female bathrooms and change room, towels avail to hire, vending machine for drinks at entrance. AC works well, friendly and inclusive place, staff very friendly, top service. Thank you

Great service and a very friendly and helpful team always available the second you step through the doors. Large selection of equipment which means you never have to wait around. There is a great selection of classes available as well which is great when you are looking for a creative to way to get your sweat on! But the best part would have to be the sauna and locker rooms which are always kept clean and tidy, something that you can’t seem to find at most gyms.

CrossFit Kia Maia is truely an outstanding gym. From the first time I walked into this gym I felt like part of the whānau. All of the coaches are superb and are able to provide support and cues to help you nail the movement to a level that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. The coaches and programming is exceptional but it’s the community that truely makes this gym one of a kind. I felt welcome from day one and while training here have made lifelong friendships. I cannot recommend them enough ☺️

The volume and variety of class times is something I couldn’t find at other gyms which is what first drew me to this gym – as well as a friends recommendation! The coaches and members are all super friendly and the facility/equipment is top notch. Whether you are a beginner or experienced you will be guaranteed to get in a good workout. Came across Kia Maia after my partner had been a member and got dragged along to a class. Easily one of the best things that ever happened to me, this community, the coaches are simply fantastic. After being away from regular CrossFit training for nearly 10 years and undergoing shoulder and knee surgeries, I was cautious about starting training again. Jason and all the other coaches have been nothing but supportive and professional. Their combined expertise in scaling and modifying exercises around my limitations has enabled me to build my fitness and strength. Now, I can enjoy 4-5 sessions a week and are back to lifting some good tin with this 52-year-old body. I’ve attended classes at all available times, and the culture here is one of support and fun.
