Our kids absolutely love their lessons here. Their teacher is so supportive and fun (whilst also keeping them on track). Watching their progress with drums, violin, piano and guitar has been amazing. Highly recommended

Eliette’s is an incredible music school with so many lovely and welcoming teachers and staff. I’ve never seen a student come through that isn’t having a great time. The versatility is also amazing with a wide variety of classes for all age ranges!
Tyler Jamieson (☆ 5/5)

My daughter has always loved singing, and while she’s had lessons with three other teachers in the past, none compare to Coach Will at Eliette’s. His nurturing approach and expert guidance have not only boosted her confidence but also helped her progress faster than ever.
Eelyn Tang (☆ 5/5)

Skilled teachers, talented musicians, excellent communcation, and our daughter enjoys going. Eliette’s Music Academy is super supportive and a great place for our daughter to grow her singing. Highly recommended!

My child started lessons here a few months ago, and we’ve been blown away by the difference it’s made
The teacher is warm, encouraging, and knows how to bring out the best in each student. I really appreciate how they take the time to understand my child’s personality and learning style.
My child now practices without being reminded (which used to be a struggle!) and always comes out of lessons smiling and proud. Watching them perform for the first time was such a special moment
Labylim (☆ 5/5)

We’ve had such a great experience with this music school! My child started piano lessons here and absolutely loves it. The teacher is super friendly, patient, and makes the lessons really fun and engaging.
What I love most is seeing how excited my child is to go to class each week — they even practice at home without me having to remind them (which is amazing!). It’s been so nice to see their confidence grow, both in music and in general.
The school also puts on little performances which are such a nice touch. It gives the kids something to work towards and makes them feel really proud of themselves.
Really thankful we found this place. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a fun, supportive music school for their kids!
Labylim (☆ 5/5)

We absolutely love Eliette’s Music Academy! My daughter has been at EMA for several years now and has variously studied Piano, Ukulele, Guitar and is now venturing into vocal coaching. Every single one of her tutors is truly amazing and so, so talented, as well as very patient! The holiday programmes are always a huge hit as well, especially the songwriting class which allows my daughter to really express herself – she loves it! We couldn’t recommend Nick and the team at EMA Grafton more highly.
Helen McCondach (☆ 5/5)

Eliette’s Little Rockers has been a fantastic experience for our child. The teachers are kind, energetic, and make learning music so much fun, even introducing basic music theory in a way kids can understand. Our little 5 year old looks forward to every class and has grown more confident and expressive. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to introduce their child to music in a fun and welcoming way!
Alex Unrein (☆ 5/5)

Elliette’s has been an absolutely amazing experience for me. I started singing in the adults choir, which is a contemporary choir, two years ago. It’s been an awesome experience, and can’t recommend it enough! I’ve also had individual vocal lessons which has significantly built my confidence. Can’t recommend EMA enough!
Danielle Peck (☆ 5/5)

My daughter has had an amazing experience at Elliettes. All of her teachers are supportive and push her to be successful in music, while also making the classes lots of fun. Her teacher Pratyul has especially helped her to reach her full potential in songwriting and singing and she often talks about how his thoughtful teaching encourages her to be the best student she can be.
Victoria F (☆ 5/5)

My daughter’s skills and confidence were built and shaped on Piano at EMA by Pratyul. Full transformation from knowing nothing on piano, to playing confidently with both hands and perform on stage front of audience at Jam Night all within 3 terms only.
Thanks EMA
AHED ALMADI (☆ 5/5)

A lovely local music school, friendly and patient teachers that go at the students pace. My son has been learning electric guitar here after 1 year of acoustic guitar elsewhere. Not many places provide this opportunity for his age bracket. He is 8.

Musominds is the most creative music school I have ever experienced. From the stairs to the practise rooms, everything alights the senses and imagination. The teachers are amazing – warm, fun, friendly and talented. My daughter Nellie loves learning piano and I love being there to watch and soak it all in.
Kate Hart (☆ 5/5)

My son absolutely loves coming to MusoMinds! He has been going for over a year now. He really likes playing piano. We are so amazed at the progress he’s made and he can independently read sheet music at only 7 years old! MusoMinds also rent you the keyboard if you don’t own one which is really appreciated! Definitely recommend!
Emma Clement (☆ 5/5)

I am in absolute awe of the fact that we have such an awesome community of people teaching my kids music. My children enjoy their classes and have formed a bond with their teacher . Patrick had been most accommodating and flexible in working with us. My kids are thriving and have a better childhood because of MusoMinds.
It is a great place for kids to learn music and grow their intellectual faculties.
shaariff (☆ 5/5)

My sons have attended weekly lessons at MusoMinds since 2021. My 10 year old originally started with MusoMath. It was extraordinary watching him develop skills and confidence in music and mathematics simultaneously. He is now focusing more on piano like his older brother. I enrolled my teen after falling in love with the dynamic learning environment and expert tutelage provided. I felt certain that he too would thrive there, but I could never have anticipated that his piano lessons would become the absolute highlight of his week. We drive a significant distance twice a week so that each of our boys can develop their musicality at this incredible school. My teen is now addicted; as a consequence our home is full of beautiful piano music every day and I never have to nag him to practice!
Kath McCahill (☆ 5/5)

Patrick is an amazing music teacher. He is very professional and down to earth at the same time. His teaching style is modern, adaptable and caters to your individual needs. Krissy is very welcoming, supportive and always makes sure that your experience at Muso Minds is pleasant and enjoyable! Thanks for looking after me
G T (☆ 5/5)

I have found Patrick at Musominds amazing as a teacher for my two girls. As someone who trained in several instruments with teachers years ago, Patrick teaches so differently to them in a much more innovative way that has especially my eldest thrive with her guitar playing. It is a wonderful thing to watch!
Julia Woolf (☆ 5/5)

A wonderful learning experience for our son. After an initial assessment of his ability, musical awareness and preferences, Muso minds has used their own highly effective system to teach him over the last few months. He practices piano diligently (especially for a five year old!) , is progressing well and looks forward every week to his lesson.

Very good music school. My kid has been there 3 years. They have good quality teachers, nice administrations and offer kids lots of chance of performance. They offer the free aural lesson every weekend. Which impressed me the most is that their receptionist is so kind and all round including good acknowledgement of music theory and useful advice of grade exam preparation. My kids loves going there and had a big progress at able music school!
Jessie Guan (☆ 5/5)

My son has been here leaning piano for over a year and this time I send my daughter to learn violin! Very good teachers and the staff, receptionst is very helpful and well organized! Would recommend to my friends!
Mark (☆ 5/5)

Unfriendly and unprofessional Receptionist at Epsom branch. Request management to change the Receptionist at the earliest. Also, this Receptionist doesn’t have proper communication skills at all. After interacting with Receptionist below are my views:
They don’t encourage students to take Grade Exams. Not sure why AbleStudio do this. They are interested in money and not really interested in training students and getting them Grade certifications.
So, I don’t recommend AbleStudio to others anymore.
Music Teacher is good though and it’s just the Management/this staff member who is problematic.
Dear Principal.
It’s unfortunate that you are trying to cover up your mistakes and totally sounding different now in your response below. Upon follow-up and lot of questioning, you mentioned that you don’t prepare students for Grade 2 theory at all as your current staff doesn’t have time to teach and it costs extra money for private theory classes and you only teach for Grade 5 theory directly by skipping the below grades. And you said that if parents are ready to pay extra money for theory classes you are fine to encourage for Grade 2 theory. Now in your response below, you are saying that you are uncertain whether student is ready or not and cooking up some fake stories. Why are you blaming the parents/students when you don’t have provision/interest for teaching students for Grade 2 to take a step-by-step approach? It’s better you confess your mistakes in your communication and advise your staff accordingly. Hope you realize your mistakes soon.

my oldest daughter has done piano lessons with Cherie for over a year now and my youngest has just started.
Cherie is amazing. SO passionate but also has the ability to relate to both our kids who have different learning styles. The girls LOVE piano and I love watching them practise together. They come home and talk about little things they’ve learnt about their teacher too which shows how she relates so well with them.
Cherie is always on top of her meetings with our girls and is quick to let us know of any changes.
She comes highly recommended and I couldnt agree more!
Michelle Kit (☆ 5/5)

My son has been learning with Cherie for almost 6 years. She is a great teacher and has made my son love music a lot more. She treats all her pupils like her own kids. She is great at communicating with parents. She is a super teacher and a super mum too.

Writing an extensive review praising We Are Loud’s music studio wouldn’t be a challenge at all. My three kids have flourished under Jo’s tutelage over the last few years, continuously improving their skills. Jo’s insight into teaching children to play music that thrills, tests, and truly resonates with them has made practice times a joy rather than a chore. Their exploration of various musical genres has enriched their abilities and instilled in them a deep-rooted affection for the piano that’s sure to last a lifetime.
Luella Bartlett (☆ 5/5)

Jo has been an absolute game-changer for my piano journey. After years of winging it and feeling lost without the basics, Jo came in and completely transformed my approach to music. With her patient guidance and knowledge, I finally pieced together the missing puzzle pieces of my musical foundation. Jo didn’t just teach me how to play, she showed me how to have fun with music and embrace the joy of playing without overthinking. 100% recommended to any one in any levels of music skill.
Chan (☆ 5/5)

Brilliant Jo and her super team of teachers are very atuned to each of my children’s individual desire to learn music. Their lessons are fun, engaging and tailored for their interests and abilities. We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful place for our children to express themselves musically with freedom and creativity. With the very experienced guidance and support from their teachers they are able to become experts in their chosen instrument.
Michellem McCue (☆ 5/5)

We Are Loud is just a great music school for all sorts of folks here in west Auckland. It’s relaxed, mainly youngs but also some olds: folk soul rock punk indy classical jazz … our experience is they’re really just there to let the kids embrace whatever they’re into. Jo runs the place and is super nice and welcoming to everyone and all the teachers are competent and engaging and supportive of the students, and they deal with students’ families really well too. Also they tend to be pro musos in their own right, and they bring professional protocols into the room. That basically means they’re well organised and really friendly. Regular concerts: awes. Also: serious talent in that school! Our family learned tons at We Are Loud. Total recommend.
James Littlewood (☆ 5/5)

So enjoyed We Ar Loud’s Christmas Concert at the end of last year! It was wonderful to see so many young people building their confidence and their music skills. Jo’s inspiration and the team of vibrant and supportive teachers have created a fun, safe and nurturing space for students to find their voices and grow their love of music.
Linda Lockie (☆ 5/5)

Jo is a fantastic teacher, this entire school exudes kindness and inclusivity. Highly recommend for anyone, of any musical talent level, to get some more joy and music in their lives

Our son has been learning the drums with Steve for the last 4 years and absolutely loves it. Steve ensures the lessons are fun but challenging and sets clear instructions on what to work on between lessons. Our sons progress has been amazing (even the neighbours are enjoying his drumming and often comment on how good he’s becoming!). Steve is a fantastic teacher and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone wanting to ignite their drum ambition.

Very bad experience, both my son and my daughter had two trials with different teacher. First teacher made them cried in the piano room! They are so upset beacuse the teacher is so rude to them!Their reception is not friendly at all, just push you to make the decision and payment. Most of their teachers are musical students, staff turn over is very high. So if you want your child stick on one teacher for a bit longer time or build up their interest and passion in instrument, this school is not recommended at all!

My daughter started Able Music piano classes when she was 5 years of age. She is 8 now and still is with them. I have seen how my daughter has grown to love piano and has learnt a lot. She has even played piano at her pa’s funeral. I have no regrets putting her into Able Music.

I had to email about 6 times to get a response about group guitar lessons. They said they would start at the beginning of Feb 2020, after I inquired in November and they would keep me pre-booked. I have not received any further email about the classes only them telling me I can transfer money into their bank accounts for classes I know nothing about. Worst service I have experienced…

Customer Reviews
Our son has been doing piano for over 3 years now with Gareth Price our daughter is in her second and our younger son started with him last year. What a gem he is, he has truly been patient, kind and found that little spark in all of them, helping ignite a passion for music. He empowers them, always adapting to their different approaches and learning style. Because of Gareth, music for them is all about joy. He genuinely is one of those teachers they will talk about for a lifetime.
