Dear Extraordinary Kids As an immigrant mother, not raised with the New Zealand curriculum, it is very difficult for me to guide my daughters through their academic life. Late last year, I asked Yvette to assist me, to get my girls maths levels up to standard. She quickly jumped into action, got me the correct books and guided me on what to do. We applied it through the Dec./Jan. holidays with hard work and dedication. At the end of term 1 parents meetings, it proofed to have worked. Both my girls have improved vastly in their maths abilities and there has been a big shift in attitude. They seem to enjoy it, because "it is not hard anymore". They understand the benefit of maths in the world we live in. Other maths institutions showed me away and said it is to late in the year to assist, but Yvette understood, I wanted to get them ready for the new school year and it worked! They love going to the classes every week and very excited when they concurred the problems. Thank you, for your guidance and dedication to our new future, Yvette! Amazing experience at Extraordinary Kids. My daughter really loves her lessons with Yvette and has progressed in math and literacy. The lessons are tailored according to her level and needs. Also, her interest in learning grown a lot since she started with lessons at Extraordinary Kids. I would recommend this to any parent/child.

I can’t not rate Extraordinary Kids enough! They have helped my daughter so much in the past year we have been going. The way they teach makes it’s fun, engaging and easy for children to understand. My daughter has come along way in the year we have been going. Not only has she made progress she’s built confidence in her reading and writing and I thank Yvette so much for bringing this out in her as this was hidden due to her struggling. My daughter is also dyslexic so this is absolutely perfect for her needs. Can’t wait to see what this year brings her her

My son has been attending Extraordinary Kids after his reading and writing were falling behind at school. As a 6 year old he attended Extraordinary Kids for 9 months and we saw little progress in his literacy skills; he was resistant to learning but at the same time a learning strategy could not be found that connected with him. As a 9 year old he returned to Extraordinary Kids after his school teacher had put in extra effort to overcome the major hurdle of learning to sound out words, and after he was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia. This time the experience has been much more positive, mainly due to his willingness to do the work assigned but also due to Yvette's active involvement with teaching. We are now seeing progress with his reading and writing, for which we are appreciative. Importantly, our son really enjoys going to Extraordinary Kids and he has said it "makes learning easier than at school", and "helps him to work out how to say the words".

Extraordinary Kids is a place where kids can get help with their learning needs - I was pleasantly surprised by the learning environment - from the plants, to the colours on the wall, it is a peaceful place to learn. I have seen my 8 year old and 10 year old sit for the hour and work through mathematical tasks - with enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment. Yvette is an expert educator - highly recommend this gem in Browns Bay - Parents can go for a walk on the beach while their children are being offered opportunities to grow their skills and knowledge.
