Keytronics NZ - mobile service

My daughter locked the key to her room, in the room. We initially rang another company who weren't able to come out, but recommended Keytronics NZ. We weren't disappointed. The wait (during peak hour traffic) was understandable. The locksmith who did the job was friendly, professional & amazingly (to my untrained eyes) was able to gain access, without any damage at all. AAA+++ 100% recommend.

Called them up to replace a lost key fob. Showed up at the time promised, and communication was great until someone showed up - but that was about it. The guy went to work, didn't give me any options and set me up with an aftermarket non-OEM key. For $800. Which apparently is the going rate because they had to gain access to the car's circuit boards. That would have been fine had the key been fully functional but the tech couldn't program most of the key's functions. Charged me with the promise of replacing it with a OEM key and a key blade and that's when it all went downhill. The job got handed over to another tech, who also couldn't get me fully functioning key. All this happened over 7 months ago, and no one has answered my calls in over a month. In summary, down $800+, don't have a functioning key, no key blade, completely ghosted, waited over 7 months. 0 stars if that was an option. Maybe it was a hard job given it was a Japanese import, but don't take my money and promise services that you then don't provide or communicate. Happy to upgrade the rating, if this post helps get my key fixed.

Fantastic service from Keytronics, can't recommend them enough. The key for my Nissan was done in less than 15 minutes on site no hassle at all. If you need keys, these are your guys!

Called for a quote. Then got sent a text with a quote that was double what was verbally indicated. Tried texting, phoning, leaving messages but never got a message or call. Could do better.

Initially ok service, (2.5hr wait) however the follow up to sync my key to my car to get rid of alarm light ruined it. I was contacted within 5 mins of follow up with the promise of an appointment time, but never got it. The next day after contact, I was ghosted.

No longer has a physical store - mobile call out fee is $140 minimum, not convenient for easier jobs like key battery replacement etc.

Pricey, you're better off purchasing the same tool they used from trademe which costs under $20. To unlock a bedroom door cost me $185+ and after hours over $200 for a 2 minute job. Response time is quick and provided a fast & friendly service, was out the door within minutes.
