Customer Reviews
I love the concept and aesthetic of this place.
We actually went twice in the same day.
The first time, I asked for something inspired by a White Russian—nothing too specific, as I wanted to give the bartender some creative freedom. Unfortunately, I was served a classic White Russian without any special twist, which was a bit disappointing considering the price. To be fair, half of the menu wasn’t available either. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just underwhelming.
A couple of hours later, we decided to come back and this time we sat at the bar. We had the chance to speak directly with one of the bartenders, Lock , and the experience completely changed. He listened carefully to what we were looking for and absolutely nailed it—delivering not only a delicious cocktail but a truly enjoyable moment as well.
Watching him work was fun, engaging, and—honestly—a little sexy, which kind of fits the whole vibe of the place.
I’ll definitely be back!
Isabel Maldonado (☆ 4/5)

What a fantastic place!
I love the concept, and the vibe inside was dark, brooding and prohibition-esque. A no-menus place where the server asks you questions to find out what you like and they whip something up for you.
The place was humming, with empty tables not staying empty long. The service was really great… we were apologised to twice for having to wait for someone to see us, but it wasn’t that long at all.
The 2 cocktails we had were exactly down our alley, so they know what they’re doing.
We explained to one guy as we were paying that we were doing like a low key crawl to cool spots, and he provided some suggestions, which was nice. Would definitely return. Bring some coin though, at $24 per drink it’s up there, but think of it as a show too!
Ben Wendelborn (☆ 5/5)

No menu. Friendly and knowledgeable server has a conversation with you about what drinks you like and the mixologist whips up something that is out of this world. Atmosphere is relaxed and conducive to conversation. If you’re a fan of speakeasy’s, this place is for you.
Steve Walker (☆ 5/5)

I really wish I could like and enjoy this place but not somewhere you want to go for a few drinks or cocktails.
The place looks great and great concept and love the drinks. Just doesn’t work. The serving is very slow and what seems like hard work. You can’t even order 2 drinks at a time maybe as that will make them even slower. Great table service just as they do not have a menu they ask you what you like and conk a drink to your taste. It may be a better idea to have menus to speed drinks up. Not sure 30 mins is acceptable anywhere waiting for a drink and only one at a time.
Was well worth a visit but only for one drink as not sure you will enjoy the wait. Maybe it’s the New Zealand way of things.
Steve Quinn (☆ 1/5)

We recently visited this Hidden Bar and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was lively, and the vibe was just perfect for a fun night out. What made it truly special was the absence of a menu — the bartenders crafted superb drinks based on our preferences and mood. Each one was a delightful surprise!
The staff were incredibly skilled and experienced, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The live music added a wonderful touch, creating a vibrant and enjoyable ambiance throughout the night.
If they start offering some deals or specials, it would make the place even more exciting. But overall, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a unique and memorable evening.
Santu Garage Limited (☆ 5/5)

Being an experienced bartender my expectations were quite high, and this place hit them and more. The bartenders are so creative and knowledgeable about flavours and the atmosphere is lovely. Will be returning!
Alex Millar (☆ 5/5)

Love the atmosphere, they asked a lot about the drinks you want but ended up delivering cocktails same ….. still delicious even thought not to what we asked for.
Drinks come at least 10 if not 15 mins after ordered.

“Best view on Karangahape Strip!” An exciting and thrilling night! Definitely will be a night to remember. 100% would recommend to anyone trying to plan a Birthday/anniversary or just to switch up the average date night! Everything is amazing! Thank you to all the beautiful Ladies & Men who provided us with an amazing night.
Shenise Watts (☆ 5/5)

Amazing night! The queens were side-splittingly funny and so welcoming. Food was incredible and the drinks were insanely good. Can’t recommend a night here enough – Big Daddy
James Solomon (☆ 5/5)

We had the best night! Great atmosphere, awesome entertainment and good food and drinks! We got super lucky with both Kita and Anita there too, so super stoked about that! Can’t wait to go back again! Highly recommend for a night full of fun and laughs A+
Felicity Ewins (☆ 5/5)

What a night. From the minute the doors open till you leave you will be laughing! Was such a fabulous night. Dinner devine and the queens really look after you & entertain the hell out of ya. If you want to have some belly laughs go & see this show. You will not be dissappointed!
Karen Raggett (☆ 5/5)

We had a ladies night and thoroughly enjoyed it! We booked well in advance, the venue is small and I imagine gets booked out really quickly. Be prepared to book a few months in advance. The show was very well organised!! There wasn’t a moment where we were ‘waiting’. The performers had amazing costume changes, awesome dance routines and there was an opportunity for photos. The food was good! There was chicken, lamb and veg options and everyone enjoyed their meal – lamb fell off the bone!! But just remember you’re not going for the food, so don’t expect a master chef meal. We arrived at 7pm and walked out at about 11.30pm so it’s a full evening event.
We paid $20 per person deposit, then $99 each a couple weeks before. This cost included the show and food, you have to pay for drinks at the end of the evening. You need a credit card to open a tab for the table. Downside: The tables were very squashy, we had 5 people on one side of the table that should’ve been 4 people, but we made it work.
Overall, we had a fantastic evening!! I would definitely go again!!
Lauren Ladewig (☆ 5/5)

Booked a hens night and what an experience! Full house, lots of laughs, delicious food and the best entertainment!! The atmosphere was amazing. There were many different groups, but these ladies made us all come together and cheer for one another like we were one big family! Don’t hesitate to book, I can promise you, they do not disappoint. Thankyou so much for having us, we will be back for more!
Gemma Leokava Taani (☆ 5/5)

Great way to spend the night! If I find myself in Auckland again I’ll go again. Drinks are really well priced and the food was pretty good too

Customer Reviews
Can’t leave a review on the food as we didn’t eat here.
We were stuck in port in Auckland longer than expected and found this bar just by the ship.
The long Happy Hour, 2pm – 7pm, was amazing.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable regarding the beer they sold.
The atmosphere was loud but inviting.
It was warm and very comfortable.
Janice Aldridge (☆ 5/5)

This is a place I love so much. Sam is possibly the most amazing manager around and has always been really welcoming. As for staff, everyone is both friendly and quality at their jobs. A special thanks to Ava and the rest of the ladies that have been with Provedor for ages, Izzy, Kira, and to the lads. Also a big thanks to new staff, of which there has been a few of recently as Provedor has grown. This bar has everything going for it, music, staff, prices, atmosphere, definitely one not to miss in Auckland City.
Craig Walker (☆ 5/5)

Brazilian have been there!!
I have been there in Provedor, it’s a point of students every Tuesday, because they offer five chops for 10 dollars.
I recommend the place.

Ate some Nachos and they were great, drank some beers…they were delicious….listening to good music in the background. Staff was great…nice place
Daniel Modøl (☆ 5/5)

Lugar ideal para tomar una buena cerveza. Tienen jarras enormes. Buen ambiente y la pizza y los nachos con ternera y salsa barbacoa son una tapa estupenda para tomar un par de cañas.
Tino Valera (☆ 5/5)

Went for Saturday night but the security were really non- professional . They said they wanted young ones in and I was like dude I am going pay in as I with mates to have a good time . And also he the security was totally impolite. This place used to be really good before but that was the first. Came from ponsonby , didn’t expect. Won’t go again . Service matters and this place had none.

Customer Reviews
Was offered a free drink for a good review on entry. But the bar staff were so rude to us. They gave us a free drink and just snatched the card and made a drink and didn’t even tell us what it was. The security just shoved us to get passed us and overall they were just incredibly rude.
Heather Girvan (☆ 1/5)

KONG is damn near a strip club these days, with the girls they had up on those poles. I was disappointed to see that when a guy got up there for a bit of fun (the crowd was loving it) he was rushed by several staff members and made to get down. This club definitely values getting hot girls in more than anything, even the overall vibe. It’s apparent on their social media page too.
It’s decent as far as Auckland clubs go. Drinks aren’t too expensive (although sometimes weak) and the music is alright, great if you’re super into rap.

For the amount of people I’ve introduced to kong im disappointed by my experience last night. I used to tell all my friends how much i love kong for the music and even though we feel like a minority there, i always go there. Yesterday, while i was going to the toilet, some drunk girl managed to push the toilet door open (broken lock) which hit my head and to counter that from happening again, my friend had to hold the door while i finished peeing. Then afterwards, the female bouncer kicked me and my friend out for peeing? I asked her multiple times why shes kicking us out, if she gave us ANY reason such as “you look too drunk” or because she thought we vomited or ANYTHING i would’ve just taken it but she couldn’t say a single reason why she was kicking us out. Are yall racist or what? What was the reason? Because its just really not on. I’ve been a loyal supporter of the business and me and my friends always buy drinks when we are there. It’s just disappointing.

Nested in the heart of Auckland CBD, close to Albert Park, opposite the Pullman Hotel, the club is an iconic private member’s club housed in a stunning, ivy-clad heritage building. The leafy historic landmark exudes old world charm, offering refined dining, well appointed spaces and a unique sense of tradition.

They have done the most fantastic job in recent years turning the building into a dazzling blend of modern and traditional.

Incredible location! We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception here. The food is amazing – guests are still saying it was the best meal they have had at a wedding. The staff are truly the most professional and lovely people. Could not rate the Northern Club higher! Thank you for making our day so seamless and magical
Michelle Geale (☆ 5/5)

I went there as a reciprocal club member. Like one of the reviewers mentioned, “Incredibly rude, unwelcoming and with delusions of grandeur.” I completely agree with that. As a minority, I was asked multiple time by the same person why I was at the club. The funny thing is that the staff member, who keeps questioning my reason for being at the club, is also a minority.

Attending the Female Fusion Business Forum at the exclusive The Northern Club, it was an unforgettable experience. The club is housed in a beautiful historic building that exudes charm and elegance. Awesome New Years (Tues/Wed). Started picking up after 1am. Way hot once it chocka block with people. Entertainment fantastic. Miss Ribena – shi the Queen knows how 2 work the crowds. Got told off by a guy who didn’t want me 2 buy other bros drinks – except him LOL. Harmless guy though. Seccy ON POINT. If u behave.. U will have an awesome time. $12 most standard drinks – all goods. Awesome 2go if u new. Good people. Great atmosphere. Yep I’m drunk, but had a awesome time. 1st time (that’s what she said.. but it probably wasn’t.. lol). Yes it can get difficult after 12am, but PREPARE b4 hand n u will have a good time. Miss Ribena and Seccy ain’t Jesus. 19 years wasn’t it? That’s a long time. It’s a really good place to hang out after dark . Shame it ain’t open 6 days a week, instead of just Fri & Sat nites. Dress is casual. Long ish pants, polo shirt etc. Awesome music. Have a few drinks b4 hand. Get relaxed and have a good time.

What happens when bouncers are gang members? Good people go out for a fun night and end up with brain damage.
Last night, my friend tried to leave this establishment to avoid trouble. A guy twice his size was looking for a fight, and my friend wanted no part of it. Instead of helping, the bouncer grabbed him, threw him toward this thug, and stood by laughing and cheering as his buddy beat my friend senseless—curb-stomping him while he was down. My friend wasn’t causing trouble. He hadn’t done anything wrong. All he did was tell the guy to have a nice night, and the response was, “I’ll see you outside.”
I hope my friend makes it through and recovers from his injuries.
We’re pursuing serious legal action against those responsible.
..Also we have it on video.

Horrible place, my girlfriend tried to get a taxi from the bar staff after a night out because her phone was dead and they were no help whatsoever. As a bar manager myself this is horrible as it is part and parcel of our duty of care to make sure everyone gets home safe. Stay away

Went to my first ever drag show here Friday night absolutely loved it. Super cool how it’s multiple types of bars in one. Really hot inside though, needed some fans

Came here with some friends for karaoke and left after the queen hosting repeatedly took the mic for themselves and wouldn’t give it to the people who requested the songs. Was a vibe kill 🙁
Jess King (☆ 2/5)

Unsafe space for LGBTQIA people. The security guys were so harsh and were heard talking in their native language that the two guys are making out and then they kicked them out. It’s NZ and they’re imposing rules like they’re in 1980s Asia. Felt really bad for my friends and I cause our group got dismantled once my friends were “caught” making out on the floor. Thought this was a GAY club. Good music and vibes but need to do a better job at the security. Such a bad end to what was an amazing night.

We celebrated my daughters 24th birthday last night with a private party in the Anti Social Bar and it was unforgettable! Bobby Mukai made the organisation completely stress free and professional! Lucas the Brazilian DJ had everyone dancing all evening, Hamish the bartender got cocktails in people’s hands incredibly quickly and the bouncer kept everyone safe. Patricia from the Brazilian Cafe in Albany catered incredibly delicious snacks. I ordered 400 savouries & 140 desserts and they were almost all eaten by 50 guests! That speaks volumes about the exceptional quality!! We will be celebrating here every year. Great value for money in an intimate, fun space! Thank you Bobby and team

Customer Reviews
Denied entrance by security for apparently large pupils and alcohol on breath. Signs would point to racial profiling given my group of 6 others were fine and just myself got pulled up before I spoke a word or looked at the bouncer in the eye as a mixed race person. Been there many times but never again.

If I could give a negative rating for what happened tonight! My friend accidentally entered a VIP area for which they had a mini argument.. the security enters tried to escort me out to which I tell them there’s no need to touch and I try to take his hand away! To which this guy pushes me on a pillar, currently in a ER with my chin hanging and all this after you pay and try to be as respectful as you could! This is the surely the worst I’ve been treated in life and the security guy Tom a bald Samoan guy needs to be out of work!

Went out to have a good party so booked a table, we spent $1480 for 4 people, the music was OK, food not the best but the service was good. Just keep in mind this is an Asian club.
Christiaan Kamstra (☆ 3/5)

David is the man always treated everyone equally and a gentleman as a host, security and bartenders need more trainings of what a good customer services are. Arrogant, rude and disrespectful is what alot of us have experiences through out our visits at face. A cover charge of $30 for just an average DJ playing some loud as beat not so ideal. Not a single bar stools unless you pay a $1000 to rest your feet.

Customer Reviews
every time I go to this night club I’m reassured I will be safe there due to the lovely girl staff.
I use to go to school with one of the staffed named arabella and she has stayed the same lovely person she constantly makes sure all the girls are okay and does not pressure anyone for photos but will ask politely and take no offence and understand if you don’t want to be in the photo. The bar tenders are also very sweet and will watch out for woman too.

This place used to be packed a couple years ago, unfortunately it seems that it’s dropped drastically in popularity. It’s been pretty much dead the last couple times I’ve gone, and at past midnight on a Saturday that’s pretty sad. The staff are great, have never had an issue. They took the situation of my friend having a guy follow her into the bathroom very seriously and had him permanently banned without any fuss.
The music is okay, a little hit or miss but so are most clubs. I think they just need a bit of a revamp or something.

Arabella was great to me and my friends when we went to Sapphire Night Club , we really enjoyed our time there and will most definitely come back after as she was very attentive to our needs

Dead as. Went down and zero people there. Tiny space. Better off taking your UE zoom to a public toilet. No refund even though I went straight in and straight out. Avoid
