Yes there were minor issues along the 12 day journey which is to be expected, but importantly, they were all addressed willingly and without question. Nothing was too much trouble. Can’t recommend Jeff & the assigned team headed by Chris highly enough. They care about quality. Carried out gib stopping/repairs to a perfect finish too. Doors were removed for roller painting and the result looks like they were sprayed. The finish is exceptional. He came promptly to look at the job and organised the scaffolding company (Roman Scaffolding). The following day Jeff presented the quote which we were happy with. He made some good suggestions including the type of paint we used for our roof. Due to the wet weather our job was delayed, but once the weather improved Jeff had his team busy painting. Hurmat was very professional in all my discussions with him about the property and with any questions I had prior to and during the job, as well as asking any opinions I had on it.

Emaan painters did an excellent job painting the exterior of our 1960’s weatherboard house, which hadn’t been painted for over 20 years.
It was given a chemical wash, a thorough sanding and scraping, minor imperfections were filled and primed and it was all finished with two top coats.
We really appreciated the thoroughness of the work to ensure the best possible finish.
Communication was always quickly followed up, and the team were pleasant, respectful and they turned up when they said they would.

We chose these guys because of the google reviews and people saying they made it right when things weren’t good.
Our experience has been pretty bad.
Devlin comes out and looks it over, spends a bit of time doing the sales pitch. All sounds good.
A subcontractor Robbie comes to do the job, inspects it and says the roof is in good condition. Need to replace something at the top but otherwise it’s fine. So far so good.
Then he paints it on literally the hottest days of the year. No harnesses or scaffolding. It’s all patchy.
He’s not happy with it and talks the boss. They agree to do another coat. It still looks bad, so he does it again, and again. It was stinking hot days.
Hose on his sprayer breaks and sprays paint all over a wall. They painted it, but we still had some patches around other surfaces.
He falls off the roof and lands on a wooden bench on his back. Insisted he was fine.
The paint started bubbling up as shown in the pictures. Devlin comes out and blames it on a bad paint job from the previous guy, over and over and over. So why wasn’t that picked up in the initial inspection when it was claimed to be good? Seems like poor preparation and pre-work inspection or painting in the wrong weather to us. Didn’t even clean the mistake off the gutter.
He says we need to replace our roof because the bubbles will crack and pool water against the roof, rusting it out. Offers a full deposit refund.
Would not recommend. Terrible terrible experience. We’re worse off than when we started, by far..

I watched with interest on a house near me being prepared for a complete external paint. The house had certainly seen better days. In all my years (80+ ) I could not believe the extent that the painters were stripping and preparing the weather boards, doors and windows etc. ready for painting. To this end, I introduced my self to the team as I had some remedial work that needed to be completed. The team was Sam the Blue Sky Painters. I am glad I did as they worked long hours when the weather was favourable, in order to catch up especially with the required care necessary in staining Sedar and Abodo timbers. Sam from Blue Sky Painters stained my Cedar 2 storey house recently. It’s an architecturally designed home and a high quality build with copper corner soakers and copper joiners between each board. So the utmost care must be taken. Sam did an excellent job with attention to detail both with the preparation and the painting and was on time and for a very good price. He is trustworthy and I felt very comfortable dealing with him as I’ve moved out of Auckland and he was painting my house in Devonport which was empty.
