Amazing experience!!! Going to Hobbiton was the highlight of our trip and the photos don’t do it justice. On the way to Hobbiton, our tour guide, Adil, is an engaging and knowledgeable person who really encapsulated the importance of New Zealand’s history and culture. At the start of the day, he was very punctual and made sure that everyone was accounted for before heading off to pick up and drop off. We were a small group of 11. The seats in the van were comfortable and spacious. There was a lot of time to discuss stories and also nap during the 1.5 hour journey and we were also provided snacks after the Hobbiton Tour. Overall, amazing day and great experience with ‘Auckland & Beyond Tours’.

We had an amazing experience traveling the Coromandel Peninsula with Nancy!! We met at the pick-up point and hopped on a comfortable van which could fit up to 11 passengers but we only had 8 total on our tour.
Nancy is so welcoming, friendly, and funny! Couldn’t have had a better guide to take us on this trip. There are a couple stops for food so you don’t need to bring anything unless you have dietary restrictions. Water and crisps were provided if you wanted any.
Cathedral Cove was a highlight! Absolutely gorgeous swimming spot. If you’re given the option to walk back to the car park or take the water taxi to the adjacent bay, take the water taxi! You get some beautiful views and cool off with the sprays depending on how fast they go! Of note, it’s $40 one way per person extra as it’s a separate service.
Nancy expertly drove the windy roads all across the peninsula and back to Auckland. If you get carsick easily just keep in mind that you might have a tough time as the drive back is 3+ hrs so bring whatever you typically need!

Dear Gill Travels Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience I had with your agency, which has left me deeply dissatisfied.
Due to the airport closure in India, I contacted your team in advance to inform you that my flight would be canceled and to request assistance in rescheduling. I was told that I would be charged $595 per person to change the dates. That totaled $1,800 for three passengers, which seemed extremely high.
To verify, I reached out directly to Malaysia Airlines. I was surprised to learn that the airline could not make any changes to my booking because you had locked the ticket. This prevented me from even exploring other options through different agents or the airline itself.
After insisting on speaking with a manager at Malaysia Airlines, I was finally able to have the lock removed — something that only a manager could do. Once that was resolved, the airline rescheduled the exact same tickets with zero additional fees.
It is very concerning that:
1. I was being asked to pay $1,800 for changes that the airline ultimately made for free.
2. Your agency had placed a lock on my ticket without informing me, limiting my ability to seek alternatives.
This experience has caused me unnecessary stress, wasted time, and a sense of being misled. I hope you review this case seriously and improve transparency and customer support in the future. I will be reconsidering my options when booking through travel agents going forward.

This was very long day, but well worth it. Bus was very comfortable, clean and driver was excellent. We had few stops on the way there, both rest and sightseeing. Cruise was excellent, we had great time on board enjoying an amazing Milford Sound. It helped that we had a beautiful weather Good complementary coffee and cookies helped as well. We had a great day, great views (we saw dolphins, seal and had nice spray with the Milford waterfall). My only regret is that I bought a lunch basket, not worth the money spent. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Great experience! It’s true that the road is long from Queenstown to Milford Sound, but it was totally worth it. I didn’t have to reserve a night in Te Anau and guess that the day after would be the one to go to Milford. As the date of the tour is flexible, it was better to base in Queenstown where there’s much to do. And I got so lucky the day we went, waterfalls and sunshine. It was gorgeous! That road to go there is magnificent and the drive was interesting and nice. One of my favorite day in this country!!❤️

Cancelled on me for bad weather/not having enough people booked in however I was prepared for that becuase of other reviews. However I called to inquire and the guy on the phone was pretty rude telling me I should have checked my email about the cancellation. This was an email sent 50mins ago that I hadn’t yet known about. I would recommend treating customers with more respect especially ones you’ve Cancelled a booking for last minute.

I would give these guys 6 stars if it would let me. I’ve been on jet boats 3 times previously in Australia, but this is the best by a long way.
Nate and his brother are great guys. The jet boat ride was amazing, and even took the time to stop and share some of the history of the area.
Thanks for the laughs, guys. Keep up the awesome work. We will definitely be back for another ride on our next trip and will be telling everyone to come and see you.

Nate and his crew will look after you. We went out yesterday and it was great. We had ages from 18 to close to 80 and we all left smiling having had a great time. Local knowledge and information between tricks was great. Plenty of safety measures in place including ensuring you’re given a warning and a countdown before any tricks. Really brilliant give it a shot, you’ll love it.

Want to go on an adventure ride and feel the thrill? Then is a one ride you have to take! I thoroughly enjoyed the jet boat specially the 180 degree turn that the driver used to make! He would signal with his hand by rotating it and we would scream 1…2…3.. spin!!! lol I felt like a kid on this boat. Highly recommend boat ride!

Our whānau went out on Matariki Day and boy were we glad we did! Was abit hesitant at first, being winter and the waves were a bit choppy, but that just added to the sea adventure! Our captain was awesome (sorry I didn’t catch your name) and shared some fascinating history about some areas we came within sight of. We sat up the back, so got soaked the most, but our Mr 9years absolutely loved that part. We’ll be booking again in summer!
