We’ve used this service many times going to and from the airport. It takes a long time but it’s cheaper than a taxi. We tried to book a lift to the airport but we had to go early as we needed to sort out some extra luggage. The team on the phone said that because our flight was later in the morning they couldn’t take us on the earlier shuttle. We expressed repeatedly that we needed to go very early but they were completely unwilling to accommodate as our flight was booked later that day. Very frustrating. Ended up booking a taxi service instead. Julie was lovely on the phone but didn’t seem to communicate our needs to the internal team. We were able to book an earlier shuttle on their website but were told it was subject to change and not reliable so decided to use another service.

As a group of five we travelled to Auckland for the day from Christchurch for the Ellerslie races on 8 March. We used Mr Maxi Cab for transport from and to the airport and within Auckland to transport us from a cafe to the races. Our booking was made through the internet. Every part of their service was delivered with excellence…reliable, courteous, friendly..and a very clean and comfortable van. We were very happy too with the price for the service. We will have no hesitation using them again on any future trips to Auckland.

Prebooked for a group to go out to the Hunting Lodge for a gig. They were a great service to use – arrived on time for the first collection and early for the post gig pick up. The only drawback was we asked (3 hrs prior) if we could to move our first collection by 30 mins and they were going to charge $1 per minute past our booked time because they were too busy to reschedule. Something to keep in mind but otherwise the service was great & would recommend.

I was delighted to travel to a Doctors appointment today after major surgery to my left hip, and once settled in to the Happy Mobility van any concerns I had were soon alleviated. My driver was wonderful in helping me to get on and off the vehicle . He kindly provided a wheelchair as well as I have muscle problems in my upper legs that prevent me from getting off certain chairs so the wheelchair was another form of reassurance for my leg condition. My concerns was that the price was seriously to good to be true, when you put in your pickup drop off info, it says demo quote, and I got too many trust issues to believe that lol, i emailed the website asking if their pricing was real, and the response was vague but also didn’t sound trust worthy, I did more research and found the address is the exact addres as this discount taxis Ltd, this sounds like they are scamming people I would be reporting this busniess after seeing so many negative reviews.

On multiple occasions I have booked this company from Sydney with a late flight into Auckland only to find when I land it has been cancelled by company. This is annoying and expensive to correct at midnight since Uber and local cabs gouge the last cent out of you with surge pricing and minimum flag falls. I made a booking, but they didn’t turn up, even after I received the confirmation email the day before. T&C’s say I’m supposed to ring within 5 minutes if they don’t arrive, which I did, and got an automated message saying they don’t do phone dispatches anymore and to use the website! Luckily, a different taxi who drove by offering to pick us up (which I politely declined) came back, and we got to the airport (albeit for twice the “discount taxis” flat fee).

Awful awful experience. I was picked up outside of provedor bar at 1 am. I was originally waiting for an uber but one of the drivers yelled out and said he could give me a ride so I jumped in as you do and watched as the counter just went up and up and up. It was a 14km ride to the hotel I was staying at. Upon arrival I was charged $162.36 being drunk I didn’t really think about it and paid. This is unbelievable that they can get away with this scamming I am beyond pissed off and will be contacting the commerce commission and police over this as I feel as though my somewhat drunk state and need to get to the hotel quick was taken advantage of. This driver needs to be stood down. It defies belief.

I caught a taxi at 5am yesterday morning from the Britomart Hotel to Auckland Airport and the fare was over $200! The trip took less than 30 minutes as there was no traffic at that time of the day. Charged $125 from airport to Auckland city – should be around $62 – avoid at all costs. My faith in humanity has been restored by Carol from cheap cabs team. She took the time to listen to my complaint and took decisive action to offer my a refund. Customer Service is almost non existent these days however credit where credit is due. I used cheap cab taxi service after a red eye flight from the international airport, the driver was courteous and delivered me to my central home at a reasonable airport rate. I rate this service 5 star as in my tired state I misplaced my passport somewhere between the airport and getting home. I logged an online query with cheap cabs and was helped by Carol. Carol went out of her way to find the driver based on my receipt and when the driver did not find the passport she went the extra step to request the video footage in the cab be reviewed. The driver was very helpful in showing up to the depot first thing in the morning for the camera to be reviewed and helped us understand that there was no sign of my passport in the cab.
Carol went the extra step to use her contacts at the airport to check around for the passport. Eventually it was found and I collected it that day. Despite me having called the airport lost property and leaving my details, Carol and the driver’s prompt help resulted in me not having to apply for an emergency passport and a whole lot of stress regarding an upcoming trip.
I am so grateful to them both for the effort and time they put into helping me resolve something that was in no way their problem. Thank you, this kind of service encourages me to use the cheap cabs as a priority.

My rating is below one star, it was terrible experience – I booked two rides for my parents more than 24 hours before the rides. The driver was over 20 minutes late for the pick up, and when I checked with him about the return ride, he said I need to cancel the second ride because they can’t provide service after 5pm. I called the company and was told they would not have drivers available after 4:30pm. If I didn’t checked with them, my parents would end up waiting for the return ride. Also the payment system is a mess, I registered online and top up the balance in order to pay everything before the ride, however the driver said my parents need to pay at the destination by CASH; and ask me to contact the company for a refund!!

My encounter with Budget Taxi was nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this company. I booked their services online, hoping for a convenient and reliable ride. Unfortunately, that was far from the reality of what I experienced.
To begin with, the booking process seemed smooth, and I received a confirmation email with the details of my reservation. However, the ordeal started when the designated pick-up time came and went without any sign of the taxi. There was no way to reach the driver as the phone number provided in the confirmation email turned out to be non-existent. I tried multiple times, but each attempt was met with the same frustrating silence.
Feeling stranded and helpless, I resorted to the online support chat provided by Budget Taxi. To my dismay, the chat feature was down, rendering me unable to get any assistance or updates on my ride. At this point, I was on the verge of panic, especially since I had an important appointment to attend.
Time dragged on, and I was left standing at the pickup location, with no idea when or if the taxi would ever show up. The lack of communication and the complete absence of customer service was appalling. It seemed as if Budget Taxi had completely abandoned their responsibilities, leaving their customers in the lurch.
After what felt like an eternity, I decided to cancel my booking and find an alternative mode of transportation. This whole experience left me stressed, frustrated, and disappointed with Budget Taxi’s abysmal service.
In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how imperative it is to avoid Budget Taxi. Their lack of professionalism, unresponsive customer support, and failure to honor bookings are utterly unacceptable. This has been, without a doubt, the worst taxi service experience I’ve ever encountered. Save yourself the trouble and opt for a more reliable and reputable taxi service instead.

Booked over the phone 2 weeks in advance. Just received a call two days later confirming pick up today at 11:30?
I then looked at reviews and thought it best to cancel booking and go with someone else. Thank you everyone who have reviewed this business. It has helped us maybe avoid being stuck in the middle of nowhere with two toddlers.

Drivers in their company can’t drive at all, suddenly change lanes on very crowded roads, and even abuse them. Strongly condemn such companies and drivers. I don’t know how they got their driver’s license and company permission. It’s disgusting!

All other taxis to the airport were booked but I should have read the reviews before I booked. After reading the reviews I can obviously call myself lucky that the driver did turn up. Called several times and was assured he was on his way, he even sent me a mail and phoned me just before arriving 45 min late. In a shabby car, not sure it even had official taxi credits. Blamed it on red traffic lights. No apology or anything. Still wanted the full fare and wouldn’t budge. Customer service non existent. Do not book!

I had an Uber booked and I was waiting on the side of the road waiting for it. I was approached by a Sure taxi driver asking if myself and my friend wanted a ride. We declined as we had already booked an Uber but he said there was no point as it wouldn’t be able to get to us as the roads were blocked due to the event we had just been at. Feeling very cold, a bit incoherent and ready for home, we decided to cancel the Uber to go in the taxi. The 10 minute drive cost just over $60 which I thought was a bit steep but was just glad to get home. The driver kept asking how I was going to pay during the drive which I found slightly strange. When we arrived, I used my phone payWave to pay but it declined when I definitely had money in my account. The taxi driver asked to see how much money was in my account, which I showed him to prove I can pay the fare. He asked me to try it again, which this time it did work. We went inside and it was after he had left that I checked my phone and the taxi fare had cost me just under $100 despite the fact it definitely had only been just over $60 on the taximeter. I’m so disgusted that this man thought it was ok to steal off 2 young women. He had creepy vibes from the moment he approached us, I should have gone with my gut and stayed with Uber. I wouldn’t even rate these guys 1 star after this experience.

Got a cab with this taxi service on the 24th April was meant to be a return trip the cab 293 came and picked me up upon pick as he was driving I told him it was return trip he said he has no understanding of this that it’s a return trip.i told him to take me back to my address he would not stop and kept driving eventually stopping at sublite rd just before the traffic lights and cameras. An argument broke out in the car were he started to argue I told him to call your coms and find out but to no avail al this happing in the car cameras running and everything. I eventually got out the car and left with a feeling of disgusting behavior. I reported the matter to company and police with disgust 250424/5202 with the company saying I did the runner .futher internal investigations said that they failed to take my call.that their allegations were just ridiculous.the polices viwe was that this might be a civil mater but future internal investigations lead to be other wise as their were reports made of harresment witch was latter addentfied as being a criminal matter unbelievable to what the public sector looks like in new zealand.Being labeled a criminal from imperial forces this is a badge of honor for me.

My aunt and I had just come off of a cruise ship in Auckland. We were not going to be able to see the town before going home, USA. We decided to take a taxi to the airport, and were happy we did so.
We got into cab 434 driven by Anil. He was gracious and kind. We asked if he could give us a small tour of Auckland as we had several hours before we had to be at the airport. We agreed on a price range that we wanted to stay in. Not only did he drive us around the city giving us information on his town, he also stopped the car a couple of times to let us out for pictures. He then drove us up one-tree hill where we parked and all 3 of us hiked up to the 360 degree view of Auckland.
Thank you Anil for turning our last day in New Zealand into such a delight!

Today, 12 of August of 2018 at 3pm I was driving through northern motorway, north east from the CBD when the Taxi with plates “GDK604” from COOPTAXI almost crash my car when he was trying to change lanes.
He didn’t care about it and kept driving after that. He didn’t stop, he didn’t wave, he didn’t do anything.
You need to be more strict of who you are hiring, I could be seriously harmed.
UPDATE: They call me today, they apologies and said that they will speak with the driver. So, 1 extra star for the staff in there.

Quoted $20 to go from Powerstation to Wakefield, got in taxi and as driving off suddenly became won’t be more than $30 and ended up being ~$28 Uber was quoting ~$15 at the time with a wait. Very predatory

If I had the option to give zero stars then that’s what I’d give Co-op Taxi.
I called as a courtesy to cancel a taxi preordered by the dialysis centre for my dad whom suffers kidney failure. The operator said it was not possible to cancel the taxi and hung up on me!… I phoned back to see if she accidentally hung up and she hung up on me a second time. Rude.
I was being polite both times. This company need to work on their customer service and phone manner. This behaviour is unacceptable!
