Started classes 2 months ago, not only very convenient for me, easy to park with 1 hour free parking, also great tutors spotting and correcting Movement during class, very encouraging us beginners~

Pilates is hard work! But Juliet, Anna and the team are supportive, friendly and on hand to make sure that you’re working out correctly and effectively. Studio is always immaculate and timetable has loads of options. Recommended.
Melanie Kozak (☆ 5/5)

A beautiful studio paired with the friendliest and most supportive instructors! The Wynyard Quarter studio was offering complimentary classes to those who worked in the area so that’s how I first came across them and have absolutely loved the classes I have attended so far. Don’t see myself stopping the routine either as the classes are challenging but also super enjoyable 🙂
A M (☆ 5/5)

I love how efficient Studio Pilates is! The sessions are well-structured, and the instructor is fantastic—very knowledgeable and motivating. I always feel like I get a great workout in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!
Yaryna Pochtarenko (☆ 5/5)

Love studio Pilates! It’s a great workout in 45 minutes, you really feel it in muscles you never knew you had. I love the fact the instructors are helpful and mindful of any injuries or pain you may be experiencing and come up with alternatives for you so you can still get the most of the workout. Have recommended to several friends already.
Kelly Maxwell (☆ 5/5)

I had been meaning to try Pilates for a year or so. When a friend told me how much she loved Studio Pilates, Wynyard Quarter I finally got started with the 6 classes for $60 offer. So glad I did. All the instructors are super friendly and are there to ensure you get the most out of your workout. The sessions are 40 mins long and I have found they really target those female problem areas. An added bonus is that my blood pressure is the lowest it has been for years. A lovely place to go and do some exercise. Seriously addictive!
Michelle Brooking (☆ 5/5)

Absolutely love this place! Challenging but fun full body workout. All the instructors are incredibly friendly and supportive, making sure you get the most of your workout but at your own speed. Couldn’t recommend Studio Pilates more!

This is the best Krav Maga school in Auckland — and likely in New Zealand. I’ve trained here for several years and have come to appreciate the coaches’ systematic approach, their thoughtful selection of techniques to drill, and their focus on self-defense in a very broad sense.
It’s not just a bag of magic tricks you can pick up on YouTube. You learn a set of tools refined over time, along with the knowledge of when and how to use them. And, of course, you get plenty of opportunities to drill them against different opponents, in different situations, and under varying levels of stress.
Andrew Kotsar (☆ 5/5)

Highly recommend and encourage all the train at Krav Fighter! A benefit to your health, fitness, general well-being and learning key self defense and survival skills. If you’re looking for a supportive training group and wanting to learn how to keep yourself safe, reach out to Krav Fighter for more information.
Nikki C (☆ 5/5)

At 54 yrs of age I decided to learn Krav Maga. Is it hard, damn right it is, but is it worth it, absolutely and completely. Learning how to protect yourself is a must in this day and age, and krav maga definitely teaches you that. There is more hard work ahead but I am glad my daughter and I both decided to take this up.
glamorouswitch shaniks Wellness Hair & Beauty Hub (☆ 5/5)

It was an absolute good experience!
Highly recommended to any new learners!
Firstly, the stuff we learned was super practical. It ain’t like those rigid martial arts styles that stick to fixed moves. This one focuses on real-life combat situations. I picked up some seriously cool skills like how to dodge attacks, lock up an opponent, and even do ground fighting. At first glance, these skills might seem easy-peasy, but when you actually try to use them, you realize you need lightning-fast reflexes and some serious strength. But that’s the beauty of it! we need through loads of practice to get the right reaction
Another thing is the part of the adjustment of psychological. The course taught me how to stay calm when danger’s lurking around the corner. This has been a game-changer for me. I used to close my eyes when the punches were coming when I just joined the boxing class, but now I can keep my cool and make the right moves. It really drove home the importance of self-defence, and I feel so much more confident dealing with potential threats.
Now, let’s talk about the instructors. Luby and Joel are the real MVPs! Their classes were always engaging and had the perfect rhythm. They knew just how to break down the complex stuff and make it easy for new learners like me to understand. And the classmates, the practice atmosphere among us was just amazing. We all pushed each other to get better, and it was a lot of fun along the way.
Overall, if you’re looking for a martial art that’s practical, fun, and gives you a real boost in confidence, this course is the way to go.
Minmin Zhang (☆ 5/5)

Krav Fighter is a great class full of friendly people and lots of fun. The tutors are friendly and very experienced, and are always happy to answer questions. I highly recommend for anyone wants to learn self defense.
Austin Queenin (☆ 5/5)

If you’re looking for a real, no-nonsense way to boost your confidence and master self-defense, Krav Maga is the answer. After spending six months in this course I can say it is one of the most practical and effective systems for today’s world.
The classes attract people from all walks of life, and the instructor, Luby, brings unmatched commitment, ensuring high-quality, realistic training that delivers results. Which makes every session worthwhile. …Yes, it takes dedication, but the rewards are immense.
I highly recommend giving Krav Maga a try if you are looking for the most effective form of defensive fighting for today’s world.
You won’t regret it !
J P (☆ 5/5)

Krav Fighter offers a fantastic, friendly and supportive atmosphere , high quality instruction with clearly communicated techniques. This realistic self defence training will give you confidence that you could look after yourself if the need ever arises. The classes are very inclusive regardless of your fitness levels. I highly recommend giving a trial class a go.
Thanks Luby

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to! The staff are super friendly and always willing to help, which creates a really welcoming atmosphere. The gym is clean, well-organized, and has an amazing range of equipment for every part of the body. Whether you’re training legs, arms, back, or doing cardio, they’ve got you covered. I always feel motivated when I work out here. Highly recommended!
Arash Wafa (☆ 5/5)

Impressed with the setup. Clean facilities, modern equipment, high ceilings and a supportive environment. Great place to train for all fitness levels. Highly recommended.
Mustafa Omar (☆ 5/5)

It’s okay. Great as an affordable option. Lots of equipment. Friendly environment and best of all its not as busy as a typical conventional gym.
Drawbacks include a small carpark, bit awkward to drive in and out off at times. Toilet and shower facilities leave a lot to be desired in terms of space and cleanliness, but this can again be due to the style of building it is.
I personally prefer a conventional gym, but I’m surer it’s a great option for others seeking value, a solid fitness community and location.

The best gym in Auckland. Due to a lower back injury I was quite limited with what exercises I could do. Invictus has the best range of equipment to help me train every body part safely. I Love the squat machine and the whole range of leg equipment. No more back pain. Just gains. Great gym, great atmosphere and people

I joined Invictus recently and I am stoked! it definitely stands out from the rest of the gyms in Auckland. The unique wide variety of machines are quality built and sturdy which really makes your workouts that much better, my personal favourite is the incline chest press machine that has 8 different angles available! Management is also professionally handled here resulting in an overall tidy and relaxed environment but at the same time encouraging to get fit !!

I used to think yoga was all about bending and twisting, leaving you sore afterward. But after 12 hours of continuous training, I didn’t feel any major pain- just a deeper connection with my body. I’m so grateful to my wonderful teacher, Bimbisara, for changing my perspective on yoga.
These sessions were truly a complete experience, filled with wisdom-sharing and powerful, effective asanas that have started a journey of transformation through consistent practices.
Thank you for being so calm and patient, for creating a safe, supportive space where we could all make mistakes, learn, and grow.
Suman Gill (☆ 5/5)

I had the privilege of learning yogasanas recently from this wonderful place and continuing my Hatha Yoga journey under the same incredible teacher. Bimbisara Anna is an amazing teacher and has been a tremendous support throughout my practice. I highly recommend everyone to experience it for themselves.
Muna Dhakal (☆ 5/5)

TAUGHT WITH IMMENSE DEVOTION AND WISDOM.
——
Surya Kriya, is a powerful and potent Classical Hatha Yoga practice, which my partner and I recently experienced through a weekend course offered by AdiYoga (Isha Hatha Certified). During this time we were led by our teacher Bimbisara, founder of AdiYoga, who taught Surya Kriya with the utmost devotion and wisdom.
My partner and I have had a long history with, and respect for, the physical benefits of a yoga practice.
It has brought me into deeper relationship with my body, allowing me the freedom to experience a light, strong and powerful state of being. In this way I am not restricted by my bodies.
HOWEVER, I have felt that there is something more to be garnered from the physical practice – that there is something still missing from our relationship with the asanas and the way they’re taught.
What I was missing was the experience of a physical practice that held greater spiritual integrity, significance and application. A practice that liberates both the body AND the mind from restriction.
My partner and I have discovered this with Surya Kriya.
It is a powerful INNER process of activating the sun energy within you – from which the commonly practiced Surya Namaskar sequence is derived.
This training was a wonderful experience, facilitated with deep insight and care by Bimbisara. We feel very grateful for this opportunity to deepen our spiritual practice.
Pamela Sidhu (☆ 5/5)

Humble and peaceful environment of the studio sets the perfect tone to learn the process.
A yoga guru(Bimbisara) who will not rush you and rather let you grow at your own pace by listening to your health issues/restrictions.
Good experience
Abhishek Solanki (☆ 5/5)

Very good session by Bimbisar Anna angamardana is an intense exercise and he demonstrated everything very well
Anirudh Dasgupta (☆ 5/5)

I am immensely grateful for learning Surya Kriya from Bimbisara just a few days ago . It’s abundantly clear that he has taken enormous care to impart the process with precision and within a conducive ambiance.
Sitting with Bimbisara is a true privilege; his indescribably powerful presence allows one to effortlessly imbibe the essence of Hatha Yoga and Sadhguru’s grace . Following the sessions, I noticed a profound effect on my spiritual practice, feeling that Surya Kriya is bringing about a new depth of stillness in me.
If you’re in search of an authentic classic Hatha yoga teacher, missing out on Bimbisara would be a regret. His mastery of Hatha Yoga and depth of being are a valuable gift to our spiritual community in NZ.❤️
Jiangqi Wu (☆ 5/5)

I attended Surya Kriya sessions a few weeks ago. The environment was calming and conducive. The teaching process was methodical so that after the two sessions, I was able to practice at home. I was impressed with how much attention has been paid on the details of each posture. The face to face session was very efficient as feedback was given directly. I would be very keen to attend other sessions when I’m ready for the next step.

Really Enjoyed my class at Studio Pilates New market! The instructors really make sure that they focus on each person individually (e.g my form, and walking over to motivate me), and I feel like I got the most out of my class! The room itself has a clean and comfortable feel. I really enjoyed attending the class and am looking forward to next time! Thank you

Quite an intense class if you are a beginner but definitely one of the most challenging hot yoga classes and the class was very hot. You will need a towel and change of clothes as you will be drenched if you do the 90 minute class. I would return but less is more for me. I think there should be more advice given to beginners as they might find it too hot and should take a break. Definitely worth trying and if you want to push yourself. Otherwise, studio was nice and instructor friendly too! 🙂
Che Kumar (☆ 4/5)

The session was warm, energising, but most importantly – FUN!
I really appreciated Monzie’s session set to different songs… what a fun way to move the body
Kelly van Niekerk (☆ 5/5)

My friend and I came in for a free class (with mat & towel included according to the promotional card & via email), to see if we would enjoy the class & space as we are looking for a studio we could visit together once a week to compliment our already established exercise routines.
– There was no health & safety waiver, which we both found to be odd as we were expecting to do some high intensity exercises in a heated room.
– Mats & towels were meant to be included in our free trial class. Email correspondence confirmed this, as well as the initial chat with a staff member. When we went to ask for a mat for the class, the same staff member who told us it was included said “that’ll be $4”. There were multiple staff behind the desk who we did not find particularly friendly and felt that they stared at us as though it was silly that we even assumed the mat was included. The staff said we wouldn’t likely need a towel, didn’t give one to us, but then proceeded to charge us for one anyway… so we paid $16. We both have our own mats, and could have brought them if they had just told us to from the beginning.
– The equipment (mats & weights) were incredibly poor quality. The rubber around the weights was falling apart and the metal that was showing through was rusted. The mats were falling apart underneath our feet. Chunks of the mat were coming off as we were doing plank jacks during the class. We felt this was unacceptable. We have been to many studios across Auckland that offer mat hire with higher quality mats at a cheaper fee.
– The instructor for our HIIT Pilates class was absolutely lovely. And we don’t want him to feel that our experience had anything to do with him, but he was/is not ready to be an instructor yet. He was enthusiastic, which we appreciated. But the class did not flow like a normal fitness class should. There was no structure to the class, and there was no proper warm up or cool down which should be an essential part of the class, especially considering the type of exercises that were being done. The class was scheduled to be 45 minutes but we finished in 30. Our instructor didn’t correct form, didn’t inform us what weights to grab, and was not very clear with his instructions (like when to hold, pulse, go slower or faster, etc.). We both did not feel challenged by the workout or had a sense of accomplishment at the end of the class. Again, this is not the instructors fault and want to make it clear that this review is not a reflection of him. We both felt this was the studio and higher managements fault who would have approved him for teaching when he is not ready. That’s not fair for him or for clients, especially the ones who are paying for this.
– Cleaning of the mats included spraying what we hoped was sanitiser in an unmarked spray bottle, and hanging them “to air out” in the same hot room that people are sweating in. We felt this to be unsanitary and can be improved.
We left hiyoga feeling obviously disappointed in the experience, and it’s fair to assume at the end of this review that we won’t be returning.

A lot of beginners friendly classes, where teachers take you through every move so you can get up to speed in no time.
Plus the room is heated up and you can get a real workout out of each session.

Excellent hot yoga class!! My friend and I took the 90 min Monday morning class with Trish. We were just passing through town and wanted to do some Bikram yoga as it’s not widely available where we live. It was such a good class – an absolute treat!! Trish was so kind and welcoming (and a world class teacher) this studio is certainly accommodating for foreigners/ppl passing through town. I deff recommend if you’re local or visiting. Thank you for such a lovely class!

They don’t teach yoga per se. It’s good for the physical, but that’s not what yoga is about. Also traditional yoga isn’t taught in a heated room at 40 degrees with no windows for 90 mins and with no space between participants. This place is very cosy and clean tho, however the classes aren’t ideal for yogis or people looking for a conventional yoga class. It could be suitable for Pilates but the so-called Yoga classes they offer are very Westernised. Vinyassa, Hatha, Yin or Kundalini yoga aren’t offered at all. I believe the name “hiyoga” is misleading. Having said this, the staff is very lovely and kind.

As someone who describes herself as a sporadic exerciser, Strong pilates is the one place I’ve been able to stick at!
I love that every class is slightly different, the facilties are great and the trainers are lovely.
Good bathroom facilities to get ready before work (there are two showers so there can be a little bit of a wait).
Give it a go! You won’t be disappointed

I am still new at STRONG but loving their classes. I am making it a part of my morning routine. Working as a nurse, I was feeling constantly tired and burnout but ever since I started pilates classes at Strong, my energy level has been significantly up. Big thanks to all instructors who are motivating and supportive.
Marvy Golosino (☆ 5/5)

After tossing up about joining STRONG for ages, I don’t regret my decision at all.
Starting as a beginner a few months ago the trainers made me feel so relaxed and were able to assist with any questions I had.
I love the hybrid workout from cardio on the bike or rower to the Pilates only classes.
If you are considering doing a class, Just do it! ⭐️

I’m really enjoying Strong. I worked in fitness in the place, but used to train conventionally, free weights, more recently HIIT training. I hadn’t done Pilates before, but the combination of rowing, cables and Pilates is very challenging. It’s total body, time under tension, strength based. A really goof change up!

Back at Strong Pilates this week after years away, and I’m so glad I returned. I’m definitely feeling it, but in the best way. Big thanks to Alice for being such a supportive and clear instructor – her classes are challenging but incredibly rewarding. Looking forward to more!

Great studio and fitness classes. You really get to push yourself
I went for a five-class trial and ended up becoming a regular. I love the way you can mix cardio (rowing and cycling), pilates, and a bit of weights. I never came across such a combination of disciplines.

Love the classes at Strong! I’ve tried all the different classes and they are always fun and engaging even though I’m just a beginner! All the instructors are really lovely too!

Morgan and the team are aways welcoming, facilities and equipment super clean and tidy.
Early morning and late night not too busy, perfect for those who want to avoid crowds of people. Suggestion – maybe having check in emails/texts with those who haven’t scanned in for a while. Overall enjoyed my time here and recommend.

This gym is amazing. The staff are wonderful and the place has a really pleasant, positive vibe. They also recently refurbished the entire gym – it really is the best standard of gym in its price range. The equipment is plentiful, brand new and well looked after; the showers and changing rooms are great; the place is always clean and tidy; and you can always get a park. Highly recommended.

I had the absolute pleasure of facilitating a breathwork journey at Kanuka Yoga Space, and I can’t recommend it enough! The space itself is nothing short of beautiful — serene, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed to create the perfect environment for any wellness practice.
What truly made my experience unforgettable, though, was the communication with Raquel and Stu. From start to finish, they were incredibly welcoming, organized, and professional. Their passion for creating a positive space for people to grow and connect is truly inspiring.
Raquel and Stu’s attention to detail and warm hospitality made the whole process seamless, and I felt completely supported every step of the way. I can tell they genuinely care about the people they work with, and that energy really shines through in everything they do.
I thoroughly enjoyed leading the breathwork journey, and I’m confident anyone who has the opportunity to visit Kanuka Yoga Space will leave feeling uplifted and nourished. I look forward to working with them again in the future!
Thank you, Raquel and Stu, for such an incredible experience!

Kanuka must be one of the calmest, most genuine, least pretentious yoga studios in Auckland. Been there quite a few times and always felt refreshed afterwards!
Rossella Sofia (☆ 5/5)

Just spent the best weekend in a very long time with a retreat run by the incredible Raquel and Stu from Kanuka Yoga. It was everything I could have wished for and more. Some things enough beyond my comfort level to challenge me in a very safe and ‘I’m going to do this’ space; some things within my zone that just added another layer of nourishment and wonderful doses of self well-being. For me, it was a perfectly blended retreat; lots of choice to connect and interact with others and what was on offer, or choose solo-time to enjoy your own time and the beautiful environment. Thank you Raquel and Stu – your personal contributions and style made this yoga retreat so special.
Sue Brewster (☆ 5/5)

Really enjoying my first month at Kanuka. As a SAHM, I’ve been craving some kind of movement at the end of the day/start of the day that is calming and helps me reflect. I’ve not been disappointed with any of the classes! Love the tea, the quality props, the plants, the overall vibe. Professional but friendly and very nourishing for the body and mind. The space is perfect and very soothing. Highly recommend
