I went to Astra Bridal, Auckland, Newmarket back in November of 2024. I booked relatively late, but they were happy to see me anyway. Not only that but Brooke and the team treated my friends and I so hospitably. Brooke's suggestions based on the Pinterest vision board I sent her were so good despite how varied the designs I liked were. February, this year, it was time to lock in a dress and of all the places I had been to my experience at Astra Bridal was memorable, not only that, but they were the most willing to work with me in terms of payment plans. They really made it feel possible for me to find and afford the dress of my dreams whilst staying in the budget I had set for myself. The ladies in Astra are talented, warm, and generous with their time. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a wedding dress or just wanting to try some on for the sake of knowing what suits you.

I’m plus size and have a large chest so I was kind of dreading wedding dress shopping as I wa expecting to not be able to fit into anything and only be left with a couple of choices. I’d also resigned myself to having to wear a bra on my wedding day and staying away from strapless styles. BUT Ilyese gave me so many beautiful options and wa super mindful of the need for extra boning in the bust and I was able to go with an off the shoulder dress I loved! Bonus was Ilyese finding me a gorgeous full glitter veil.

I felt seen, heard and beautiful at Astra.

Jewelry shops and women’s stuff stores are located here. There is also a very very nice bakery equipment shop here. Coffee makers in traditional styles like the Turkish one are available here, too. Even if it’s small, but you gotta need to take some time to walk. Recommended!

Just witnessed the centre manager removing an elderly gentleman who was just sitting at a table and chair minding his own business, drinking a coffee. The manager was photographing him and threatening to involve police for anybody who questioned his conduct.
It seemed that the elderly gentleman simply did not appear to be the type of clientele that the manager wanted in the arcade.
Poor form. Do better.

I enjoy coming to Taking Shape Airport Oaks, to the store and factory store as well. Though I must admit this visit the Customer Service I received was not the best that I normally receive. I was acknowledged by Edith who was on the factory store floor but that is all she did. It would have been nice if you checked on me while changing as I did need feedback but I couldn’t see her. When at the check out a young girl called Aaliyah was serving me and my friend I mentioned to her this item was on the managers special rack so needed to be reduced. It wasn’t reduced, only found out when home. She wasn’t overly friendly. Kath was at the check out. She was very friendly and chatty. Making you feel welcome. I recommend this store for bright colourful excellent quality clothes that last for the curvy lady. I will visit again.

I experience excellent service twice today. Second visit was for my cousin.
However, over an early dinner, at 5.50pm, I decided I needed those linen wide leg pants. A third visit, but couldn’t dash the quick, and dinner was walking towards me. With credit card over the phone, one of your lovely staff, delivered to the restaurant I was in. At 6.01pm package sitting next to me. I so appreciated quick delivery before their closing.

I think is the one of the best Cotton On stores I have seen in New Zealand. Its really big and very well stocked. The layout is great as well especially the women’s section. Kiwi positive in Sayazi! Good store. Lots of lingerie and loungewear here. Good selection of fitted swimwear and even have shark swim vests and a large sand kit. There are promotions, but you need to calculate the price yourself, the price tag is the old price. For a loyalty card, you only need to fill out a few items on the cash register monitor.

To any Auckland visitors in search of quality woolen products from merino wool baby booties (purchased by a friend for her first grandchild) to top name jumpers or sweaters (purchased by me) you must make a stop at Great Kiwi Yarns. The quality of service is second to none. Anne jumped through a number of hoops arranging to have a sweater delivered to my hotel the day before I headed back home from vacation. The pricing for these name brands is comparable (if not better) to other stores throughout the north and south islands but without the variety and atmosphere at Great Kiwi Yarns.

It’s not the cheapest store but the quality was top notch. I’m sure my items will last many years. It will be my first stop for knitwear when I’m back in AKL.

I bought two sweaters here in 2024 and later received a 15% discount certificate for return business via e mail. I returned in February 2025 and purchased three more sweaters. I showed the 15% discount certificate with a view to claiming the benefit. The assistant looked at it on my phone, claimed to have no knowledge of this but went off to consult with someone. On her return she asked to see the certificate again but it had magically disappeared. How this occurred I know not. Needless to say, I was given no discount. So, buy from them by all means but be very cautious, if not to say suspicious, regarding their business practices.

For sellers – I respectfully say to who are going to sell your valuable and pre-loved items, you need to consider before you sell, they will charge you an Annual account fee which is 48Nzd and plus 5Nzd for the assessment fee (I actually don’t understand what it is). And also they will pick your items which will be suitable for their shop (not that many for sure) even though the item’s quality is decent. This is the worst experience ever since I became to be seller for this shop for so long.
Just recommend using another shops having a good purpose and don’t waste your money:)

Most of the items seem overpriced for the quality. I get that these items are all recycled but most of them seem either worn out or damaged and haven’t been properly sewn. Clothes prices drop after they are purchased regardless of the condition they are in, so it just doesn’t make sense why clothes as worn out and defected as the items displayed would have prices that don’t compensate for this factor.

Today me and my boyfriend purchased a shirt a polo and a key chain however I saw the label for the keychain as 5$ and was wanting to pay separately to my boyfriends stuff however the girl who processed the transaction made us pay together. We went back in as I thought there was a mistake and was overcharged. Once we asked the same girl to confirm how much everything was she began to have a nasty attitude and became very annoyed although it was perfectly fine to double check as an employee. Turns out the keychain was $20 (although we have no way of telling) which is fine but also her attitude, tone and the way she treated us was definitely not acceptable. No one should be treated the way. As a retail worker myself I would never treat a customer the same way.!!

Being charged about 50 NZD’s consignment account fee(I myself don’t know any other consignment fashion store in AKL that charges account fee, not to mention at such cost)
& 5 NZD’s assessment fee per consignment
& you only receive the sold price less GST, and less 55% fee.

My consigned item got stolen under their care and they aren’t even willing to compensate by offering at least a coupon or a free consignment assessment as a small gesture.

They also didn’t bother taking any of my items including a brand new crossbody bag that I want to consign after my item got stolen at their store. They still charged me $5’s assessment fee even though they did not accept any of my items.

I’ve come to this store a number of times and the staff here are so nice and friendly! Store is generally tidy/well presented and they have a good selection of clothes. I’ve also consigned clothes with them a couple of times and the process is very simple. Highly recommend visiting!

Found the sizing on all of the jeans to be very difficult, most things were a size 6 or 8 which was disappointing since they have so much. And the bigger sizes just didn’t work either. Almost everything I tried on was too small or too big. I am normally a size 8-10 but a lot of the size 12 jeans didn’t fit me. Staff were nice but I found they were a bit overbearing and honestly made me want to leave even more. Overall was disappointing I was very excited to shop there but I feel they need more accurate sizing and range of sizes. They only had a few jeans over a size 12 that weren’t just the super baggy jeans.

What a bloody gem of a place! On our recent trip to Auckland we visited Smoove 4 or 5 times! T-shirts, jeans and mini skirts were purchased. Matt was super helpful but the star of the show was the fantastic Pippa! You can’t get anyone more helpful, bubbly and stylish than this gal! Just so helpful and loves a good laugh.

I drove 20km, paid $16 in parking and walked one mile to visit your shop. Then I find a “be back in 20 min” sign which is OK but not when you are still not back after one hour! Great way to turn away income and lose customers.

One of the staff members dropped a very heavy metal rod onto my leg which left a bruise. Luckily it did not land on my abdomen as I am nearly full term. Although she did apologise, she did not bother asking if I was okay. I would have definitely made a big complaint if it landed on my unborn baby. Please train your staff properly in handling heavy equipment around the store during opening hours.

I will admit the pricing is really affordable on their clothing range but even for that price the quality isn’t the greatest. The stitching on a recycled material skirt I had bought started coming off within 2 weeks and I had worn it only twice. The sizing was on the larger side so it wasn’t because it was too tight or something, just the lousy quality. I gave 3 stars for the service personnel here who are friendly without being intrusive and are willing to help. Hope they work on improving the quality as some of their stuff looks really cute & I would love to buy more from them as the price range is definitely something one can’t complain about.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I need to leave one here as the customer service was appalling. The girl in the cloak room was very rude and kept shouting at customers to put their tags away. I left the stall and returned all my clothes for her to say, “sorry but you will need to hang all of those to make it easier for me.” Isn’t that literally part of your job as a retail assistant? I didn’t hesitate and went back and spent 5 mins hanging up the pieces to the best of my ability but there was one lacy dress I struggled with so I told her I couldn’t and apologised. She looked at me and said, “You couldn’t?” as if she was in disbelief. Just a really bizarre and weird experience this time. Usually I like window shopping here but that girl put me off.
