When I tried to talk to him and his colleague about it they were very rude to me. This is what I am most upset about. The rudeness.
If he had owned his mistake I would not be so upset. Instead he tried to claim it was already broken and denied responsibility. He made all different kinds of weak excuses, instead of just saying sorry. The movers shouted me down, talking over me and down to me – not yelling, but with raised voices – when I was trying to address the situation. I was speaking to them calmly, but firmly, and had to work hard just to be heard. They eventually told me they would pass the photo of the damage onto the company and I would hear from them, but this has not happened.
This is very unprofessional behaviour.
I paid professional prices, I expected professional services.
I have emailed the company a complaint, with no response.
*01/02/2025 Update. Despite finally apologising to this review publicly and offering compensation, they have done nothing. I have contacted them a couple of times, and they have still not followed through on their word. I believe it was all for show. They asked me to remove the review first.
Do not trust ‘Trust movers’! Very dishonest and dishonourable behaviour
Job well done.
Overall I found the experience working with you all inconsistent and unprofessional. My furniture arrived, but I found:
1) a missing glass top for my coffee table (probably broken).
2) a broken wooden tv cabinet with dirty gumboots all over it,
3) A broken box labeled FRAGILE which had clearly been ignored and had items stacked on top of it.
4) You’ve delivered me someone else’s bed base items.
5) Your communication about delivery was unclear, inconsistent, and I had to call 3-4 times to get an answer for when my items would be delivered after 2 weeks.
I would not repeat your services, and would like some compensation for the items broken before paying my final invoice.
From quote (they came and inspected the access and all the items within 24 hours of enquiry, and still came in well below other options) to booking (timely confirmation and good communication leading up to the move) to arriving right on schedule, they were excellent.
There was a potential hiccup, when the movers arrived and had almost brought a too small truck because of a hiccup in communication, but, they had opted for the larger option they had and this was big enough for everything but the microwave!
They managed the difficult access amazingly, and loaded the truck efficiently, but with plenty of care and attention to being protective of our items.
They made good time on the trip down and then unloaded swiftly, checking on item placement well. They even moved a fridge left in the new house by previous owners to make room for ours!
Throughout they were professional, courteous, kind and friendly, even having a bit of a laugh about my husbands garage hoarding….
I am really grateful for their efficiency and care of our belongings.

I had an amazing experience with domestic movers for my move from Wellington to Invercargill. The team was professional, punctual, and handled my belongings with great care. The owner, “Gaga” (who calls himself Garry), is incredibly rude and doesn’t know how to deal with customers.
Three guys showed up to move our belongings, and they were shockingly unprofessional. Unless of what was discussed and promised in the quote, they refused to wrap cling to the furniture, claiming that they don’t have plastic wraps and that their blanket is clean, which it was absolutely not. They left us with extremely dirty furniture.
Their driver, the guy in the red shirt, was quite a character! Not only did he not really help the team on the job, but he also broke our plates because he moved carelessly and cleaned his hands with our white bed sheets!
They caused significant damage to our furniture and to the buildings at our previous and new homes.
They also failed to move the piano properly. They brought a broken piano trolley (pic number 4) that couldn’t even handle the weight of about 60 kg! When I informed them that it was an upright piano, they insisted that I was lying and that my piano was royal. When I confronted them with the measurements I had provided a month prior, Garry (Gaga) dismissed them, saying that the measurements wouldn’t determine whether the piano was a royal or upright model, which was ridiculous.
The same piano was moved before using one person and a trolley!
Just look at the pictures and decide if you want your furniture—your hard-earned money spent—to look like ours.
They dropped the tallboy so severely that the base was separated entirely, leaving us no choice but to throw it away.
What an awful and unbelievable experience! The whole situation felt surreal!
Isat outside watching everything being loaded onto the truck and the guy asking me before they left how to rate the transition so far. I rated them very highly at 1st only to have my furniture and all not all what we expected. A few tools and an air and a black stool plus my 55inch flat screen tv cracked and with a broken leg to be fixed would cost more so we have had to wipe it….
So if you want a good deal please make the right deal and have insurance and your valuables well boxed.
So yes I did give a 5star but now I recommend 2.5 hence reason we are still waiting on our lost goods prolong time when all I paid was my due and quality time to have the money paid and my furniture ready before time.
It’s been 3months now and still waiting for my lost return goods.
But thankyou to the company for reimbursement for the my broken leg tv and contiki joint connection.
The guys that moved my furniture are not GOOD AT ALL NOT WORTHY VERY ROUGH AND I WONT TRUST AGAIN…BE VERY AWARE!!!

I have a bulky sewing cabinet, and they informed me that it might be harder to bring it upstairs to the townhouse. They managed to bring it up, and it was not an easy task. They even wanted to put together some of the furniture.
They were done well within the 2 hours. But again, we did not have any big appliances, or a lot of stuff.

A couple of weeks ago, I reached out to them for a moving job. We agreed on a specific date to move my items, but they encountered some challenges when I requested more information about pricing. They mentioned they would check with their manager and revert. Unfortunately, after two days of no communication, I called again and, after several unanswered calls, was finally able to get in touch.
At that point, I was informed that they could no longer accommodate the original date, as all spots were filled, and was instead offered a different date one day earlier. In a rush to secure a moving service, I agreed to the new date, and received the booking confirmation roughly four hours later.
However, as I needed confirmation much sooner to ensure everything was arranged for the original date, I ended up reaching out to another vendor. The second company promptly booked me for my preferred date and provided immediate confirmation and I canceled my booking with Eco Movers.
The team at Eco Movers was punctual, professional, and handled our belongings with the utmost care.
The staff was not only skilled but also friendly and approachable. They answered all our questions, addressed concerns promptly, and maintained a positive attitude throughout the move. Their customer service is truly commendable.
