This was my second time at La Bises I did Viva Hair & Stonefull body massage, and once again, I absolutely loved it! The experience was incredibly relaxing from start to finish. ** Honest review** I am writing to express my disappointment following my recent appointment at your clinic for the Multiple Vitamins Hair Therapy, which I chose based on your glowing promotional content and promises of a high-quality, relaxing experience.

Unfortunately, the service I received did not match what was advertised in any meaningful way:

Product Used: The use of Pantene, a common supermarket shampoo, was extremely disappointing. I chose this treatment expecting premium-grade salon products, as implied in your promotions. I had to wash my hair again at home due to scalp irritation, which defeats the purpose of the treatment.

Cleanliness: The environment felt unhygienic, with visible hair on the floor and work surfaces. This does not align with the professional standards one expects from a beauty clinic.

Ambience: Far from the relaxing, soothing experience promoted, there was constant background noise that made it impossible to relax or enjoy the treatment.

The feet massage, hand and head massage were not even satisfying. I don’t feel any difference at all after paying that much of money. Where is the value for money here?

Overall Value: At $170, I feel the service was severely overpriced, and I left the salon feeling more stressed than pampered. The treatment did not deliver on any of the advertised benefits – no visible improvement, no relaxation, and certainly no transformation whether it is shinier hair or glowing hair!!

While I appreciate the staff’s politeness, the overall experience left me feeling let down and misled by your marketing. Given the gap between expectation and reality,

Cleanliness- 3/5 the salon is beautiful but little things make it a 3star salon. Like ants on the treats displayed at front table for clients, and someone put a sucked up lolly in the packet and back on the treat platter. Tea served was yum but made be wary if it was clean. The toilet was clean thank goodness.

Service – my therapist was so lovely but lack of English and little details were not executed well. For eg, I filled out the form with my details and it was not even read but plonked on the top of the front desk which had no one sitting behind it, therefore anyone could steal my details and know all my information. I gently said I’ll put it behind the counter and followed her to the room to get changed. The room she took me in had two beds and they had stained or dirty linen. Also the trolley was very dirty with things in them. Not very tidy or clean. I had to ask am I getting changed in here and than coming with you ? She said yes. I thought I’m supposed to lie on the bed. More training needs to be done with the therapist as she doesn’t explain anything.
She took me to another room which is shared with another person but her curtain was drawn and I was exposed as the door was full wide open. I could also see other women in another room getting their hair dryed in their gowns.
The treatment was not explained and i felt very anxious as to what’s happening. Massage was good and hair treatment was good but my hair was better off without the treatment actually. It just felt like hair got shampooed the hellout and no conditioning or treatment. My hair was so dry. But I paid for the vitamin hair treatment. Was abit disappointed as I was hoping for good results. Facial was also done on me but no product was put on my face after the treatment. My face was so dry I had to put hand cream on my face in the car before picking up the kids. This place is nothing special. You’ve got to make it like you say it is. It’s below average in my opinion. Very disappointed as this place could be amazing but small things let this place down. I’m being generous in giving it a 3star. I think my therapist was wonderful, just needs more training. It’s okay to talk to your clients about the treatment. It makes us feel comfortable knowing what’s happening. Hopefully this is taken onboard and better products are used as well.

This is one of the best hair salons I have ever been to in Auckland. I came here many years ago for a perm and everyone in the salon was very skilled. So I chose them again for my hair dyeing. The salon products and hair dyeing materials used are of very good quality. I enjoyed the whole process. The staff have their own unique insights into aesthetics and beauty. In addition, they have a wealth of professional theoretical knowledge and respect the customer’s own ideas to give the most appropriate advice. I highly recommend it.

I’d heard about YX for a while, so when I finally went in, I had high expectations, and the experience absolutely delivered.

Jake did all of my hair, bleaching my (black) roots twice and lightening my already damaged blonde hair. Despite the complexity, it was an overall fantastic experience. I was truly impressed by the skill Jake demonstrated. The colour turned out even better than I had hoped, and he worked tirelessly to make sure I was happy with the result, and happy I am!

I also asked for a haircut that can be a bit tricky with my hair type, and he absolutely nailed it. It was exactly what I was looking for and more! Even with my bad styling skills at home, I still love the cut (second photo attached for my bad at home styling).

Beyond the excellent service, Jake was a fun and engaging person to chat with. He kept the entire appointment fun from start to finish.

I’ve always been very anxious of getting haircuts since I was a kid, as I would always come out of the barber shop looking worse than when I went in. I try different barbershops each time to hopefully find a good barber I can stick with, but it never works out. I’ve been going to Jin n Jen especially Jake for years now and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. I used to get anxious every time I had a hair appointment (ever since I was young), but with Jake, I genuinely feel at ease—I often end up dozing off in the chair because the whole experience is so relaxing. His hair washes and cuts are honestly therapeutic.

Jake doesn’t do a cookie-cutter approach. He takes the time to personalise each cut and always nails the latest Korean styles in a way that suits my face and vibe perfectly. I always walk out feeling great and get so many compliments from friends and colleagues. Highly recommend him if you’re after skill, style, and a peaceful experience.

Second or third time through the years I have sent my daughter for a layered haircut and she comes back with trimmed hair in a line, slightly inverted at the front?!?! They do not understand layered hair. Flat line is not layered in anyway and I wouldn’t pay $45 for a hair trim.
Literally the last time I am going there. 3 stars because they do inverted Bob haircut quite well but don’t go there for layers or long hair will only get trimmed in a line….boring as….so disappointed

I came here today for a wash, cut and blow dry by Remi. As I’ve been travelling for 5 months, I was in desperate need of a haircut! Remi was fantastic – friendly, polite and welcoming. She listened to what I wanted and certainly delivered. I really appreciated how focused and precise she was, and took her time, even with the next customer waiting. I feel really disappointed having come to Cut Co on and off over the years.

I went in wanting to ask for a small touch-up as I wasn’t really happy with the shape of my hair. Recently got a down perm over a no.6 undercut.

They recommended that I can a number 4 on the base, so I obliged and they did so but now the number 4 is sticking out because true down perm was shaved off there. And so the undercut is flat at the top and puffy at the bottom. They should have understood that I had a down perm and foreseen that that would happen instead of advising otherwise?

I am very upset with how my hair looks now, hopefully they pay closer attention to this factor in the future.

They pay attention to what you want and do that. I had such a wonderful experience, not just with the haircut but the whole treatment with the wash, blowdry and the wonderful attitude of staff. This will be my go to place from now on.

Flo was amazing! I have been looking for someone to do a proper layer cut on fine wavy/curly hair for years and nobody seems to do it well in NZ until I found Flo. Wow! Aone just gave me the best balayage I’ve ever had. I’ve been having balayage for 10 years and always walk away feeling like it needs to be lived in before it will look how I want it to but he nailed the toner and the brightness.
I also tried the air touch technique Becuase my hair is so fine so I don’t like backcombing and it made the whole experience so much better. No combing out the teased hair.
They also had 2 people working on my hair at once making it so much quicker

I’ve been going to Marcelo and Co to cut my relatively long hair for a few years now – I would not go anywhere else ever again. Previous to being referred to Marcelo by a friend, I never left a hairdresser fully happy with the results. It all changed ever since I started going to Marcelo, now I always leave the salon truly happy with his work. Marcelo actively listens to what I want to have done, changed, styled differently, etc. and makes it all happen with his magic styling hands. He also proposes really cool ideas for a change sometimes, but always respectful of my desires. During hair wash time, he gives the best head massages ever!! I always joke that if I could I would go back to have my hair washed there every time, just to enjoy a wonderful massage treat. The salon is also beautiful and peaceful. As always, it’s a relaxing experience coming to the Salon. Marcelo, Danny and team are professional, fabulous at what they do and there’s always lots of laughter, with great coffee included. I am a long term client and Marcelo is a perfectionist who knows how to create the perfect shade of blonde with 0 brassiness. Every visit includes a consultation and I always leave feeling amazing and my hair looks fantastic. My latest treatment was the nano keratin and it’s amazing! I don’t trust anyone else to do my hair.

During my stay in Auckland, I booked to have my hair highlighted at Marcelo & Co. The salon had impressive reviews and I was excited to have my hair done as a treat to myself while I was solo travelling Aotearoa.

Unfortunately I was quite upset with the end result. Despite providing a reference photo, my finished hair did not meet my expectations and deviated significantly from the desired outcome. The before and after photos are virtually indistinguishable. I was upset as I’d paid over $300 for this service and felt that what had been promised between myself and the stylist had not at all been delivered.

I returned the following day to express my concerns. I was polite, calm and respectful in explaining my discontent and my desire for at least some compensation, but the stylist responded by saying that I was “aggressive” and “disrespectful”, and that it wasn’t “attractive” for a young girl like me to come in and act in such a way.

I was taken aback by his comments. I felt spoken down to as a young woman and invalidated, but most of all I was disappointed that the salon couldn’t apologise nor take responsibility for the end result of my hair. It was obvious that I didn’t receive the service I was promised or expected.

I was travelling to Wellington in the next couple of days and my schedule was packed until then. I wasn’t able, nor did I want to have another hair appointment with the salon.

Ultimately, I didn’t get any compensation from the salon and left feeling quite deflated. I felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously. The least I expected was an apology or recognition that I wasn’t satisfied, but instead I was told that I wouldn’t receive any compensation. It was quite an upsetting experience overall, not one that I will want to remember of my time here in Auckland.

During my stay in New Zealand, I visited Andrew Hair Salon twice to have my hair done. I wear keratin bonding extensions. At my first appointment, I had my old extensions completely renewed, and at the second visit, I was able to reuse them as they were still in excellent condition.

Highly recommend Andrew Mae if you’re thinking of getting any extensions. They have knowledge in all applications but I went for nano bonds as it’s what I’m used to. The colour match is amazing (they took time to tone the hair to make sure it matched perfectly) and cut it so well you can’t tell I’m wearing them. They were also so lovely and managed to do my consult and have me fitted within a couple of days so I had new hair in time for my birthday. 10/10

This is my second time with Infusion love the services at an affordable price range. I did my nanoplasty with Priyanka at the Roskill branch. She is very friendly and knowledgeable she suggested me a haircut that gave me volume and suited my face cut. Loved her service. Thank you dear will come back soon.

I went to Infusion Skin Body in Papatoetoe on 23 March 2025 to get my hair done. I asked for regrowth touch-up and a nanoplastia treatment. They told me it could be done, but I had to pay upfront first – which I agreed to.

Instead of doing the regrowth like I asked, they gave me a full head of highlights that didn’t lift properly, leaving my hair with orange patches. I was also told to get a keratin treatment instead of the nanoplastia because of my hair condition – even though keratin is much cheaper.

The keratin treatment just involved a mask, then they washed it out after an hour, gave it a rough blow-dry, and sent me home with damp, stringy hair. No proper blow-dry or flat ironing, which is important to seal in the treatment.

I paid over $400 and walked out with damaged hair, and they didn’t refund me the price difference between nanoplastia and the cheaper keratin treatment. On top of that, the staff kept speaking to each other in their own language during the appointment, which felt rude and unprofessional.

I’m really disappointed with the service.

Amazing services! I have been going to LAN for around 2 years now for frequent haircuts, with the lovely Mitsuko. The team are always so friendly and very careful and gentle with your hair. Mitsuko takes time to understand what I want to achieve with my hair, and is always so attentive.
Oh, and on the one-off time that I wasn’t particularly satisfied with the haircut (also partly because of miscommunication on my end) they immediately helped me fix my hair. Thank you LAN, it’s always such a treat every single time I visit their salon.

Specifically asked for a hairstylist that is familiar with cutting wavy hair but the one I was assigned to clearly was not, as she tried to straighten my hair. She also thinned out my hair too much and gave me messy layers when I only asked for a trim.
