Purchased the Linspire Ventus Chest of 7 Drawers, Natural from Urban Sales.
1. Staff were able to answer my questions regarding the product and pick up option.
2. Upon pick up staff were quick to respond and put my items into my car – thanks!
3. Drawers took 3 hours to put together by a professional kit set operator.
4. All screws and nails came in one large bag not individually packed and instructions were straightforward to read.
5. Drawers look amazing and true to size, however I will need to fold my clothes really small / tidy to be able to fit inside.
6. Drawers need to be push a bit to fully closed.

Although I was frustrated about the time it took to resolve the issue with the faulty parts, the customer service staff were always patient and friendly.
In the end, we got there, and I guess that’s the issue if replacement parts aren’t always easily available.
Quality of product is amazing though and best comparative price for higher end items . I would recommend them, even though I had issues with faulty parts. The frustration was that I had to wait so long.

Initial complaint:
Brought 2 desks over $2k and started putting it together to find both incorrect parts and defective pieces in the packing. Emailed for help on Jan 17th, and 21 emails later, still no assistance. Very nicely worded emails to suggest they are working on it, but they want me to take the unit back apart, and organise it’s return so they can fix it. When I suggest I live 15mins away, and they could easily send someone; they are too short staffed to assist. No timeline for resolution. No solutions offered. No compensation or refund mentioned. Not one phone call to from management. Still have a half completed unit in my lounge with the school term started. Consumer guarantees act requires replacement / repair for faulty products, but nothing from the team suggests they are prioritising my issue.
It’s now 24th Feb. Very frustrating.

Sadly another very poor experience for me same as the others recently.

Paid $500+ for a new table to be deliver and arrived cracked in half. Have now had to email their customer service person Shaira 6 times in two weeks asking for an answer on replacing my order and have been repeatedly told she “has to wait for Management to get back to her. “. They have now stopped replying to me altogether and I’m left with a broken table and $500 poorer.

Terrible service from the start leaving me very frustrated and unhappy, still holding out hope they will do the right thing and give me an answer on how to make this right.

We ordered an TV unit and were very disappointed with the quality. The drawers were not aligned and there was chipping on the edges. We expressed our concerns to Oak Furniture Store and were not offered a repair, replacement or refund. Be very wary when purchasing from them as they only suggested we try to sell the faulty item locally or return to them for a 15% admin fee + shipping. Would not recommend and would never purchase from them again as they did not adhere to Consumer Rights in this case.

Great service by the lady in the shop she was very friendly & helpful, the delivery guys were also great!

Unfortunately though, we have only had our sofa for 1 week & already, the cushions which are used the most have started to go flat (as pictured) & the sofa is uncomfortable. Good price & service but very poor quality unfortunately.

Update: 1 month later… The sofa is already bobbly & one of the seams has started to come apart. Big regrets purchasing this sofa.

Moved into our new place and we were on the hunt looking for our first couch for our lounge, all day Saturday 15th Feb we went to different stores nothing seemed right finally can across lifestyle furniture WOW, from the moment we walked in Rovil his warm greeting and big smile was so inviting after looking around say on few comfy couches and of course with the help of Rovil we found our couch ️ so happy very excited

I had a custom headboard made for my bed. The staff were very helpful at taking down all of my measurements and allowing me to make the headboard exactly as I wanted, based on a combination of their in-store designs and a photo of another headboard I had. I chose the height, depth, shape, and panel width. I could choose between struts or floor length. They had an excellent high-quality fabric selection and I was able to find just the right fabric. The delivery to Napier was affordable and the quality of the workmanship is excellent. The communication was great. I highly recommend Elegant Furniture. The cost for the custom headboard was also cheaper than many off-the-shelf headboards I had seen. I’ll be buying from them again in future.

They offered excellent advice without being pushy, which made the decision-making process enjoyable and stress-free.

Now that our new sofa has arrived, we are absolutely thrilled with it. The quality is outstanding – it’s comfortable, stylish, and feels incredibly well-made. It has quickly become the centrepiece of our living room, and we’ve already received so many compliments on it.

What they don’t tell you: The wait for a sofa is very long, 12-14 weeks, 3 whole months, you are left with lots of rubbish to take away. Sofa will have a strong chemical smell for about a month. You need to use up a whole day Annual Leave for your sofa as the delivery will not work around your schedule or be flexible with you. Overall happy with sofa once smell has gone

Be warned. Anything they say about delivery will be to induce you into a sale.

We bought furniture in Jan, told delivery would be April, then May, then June 16th, then 23rd of June.

We called the team to request a delivery date for the 11th of July because we’d be away. They confirmed. Then on the 23rd of June we get a text message to say they were 6 minutes away. We scrambled and got a neighbour to help, then they slapped us with a hefty delivery fee without taking any accountability.

Overall, the service is shocking. They also went through a lot of staff during the delayed delivery period and no one really knew what was going on.

Wouldn’t be surprised to read that they’re going into receivership one day soon.

Recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Extremely Frustrated with Misleading Sale

Normally, I wouldn’t leave a review like this—especially as someone who shops frequently at these stores—but I’m extremely frustrated.

As soon as I saw that Freedom had the Corte Ceiling Pendant on sale, I jumped at the opportunity and drove to Sylvia Park to purchase two. To my disappointment, they had none in stock—only the floor display model. I asked if I could purchase that one, I was then told it was listed as end-of-line, and was told no and advised to try other stores.

I called around to multiple locations and was met with the same response: out of stock, and they wouldn’t sell the display models.

Three weeks later, I noticed the same light still being advertised on sale, so I tried my luck again and called the Newmarket store—only to be told, once again, that it’s end-of-line and not available.

If the item is no longer available to purchase, why is it still being advertised as on sale? It’s incredibly frustrating and feels misleading. Freedom needs to do better with their stock management and communication around discontinued products.

Now, after almost two months of chasing this item, I finally see it’s available online to purchase. I’ve placed my order, but it really shouldn’t have taken this much effort.

Not sure why this place has such a low star rating because we were absolutely blown away by the service. First time customers. The manager went absolutely above and beyond to resolve an issue, and we didn’t spend much, it was on a clearance item and despite telling him that we would completely understand if he just gave us back our money he refused and insisted on resolving. But also, every single staff member that we bumped into, was friendly, smiled and greeted us. Even the guys in the stock room. I think each persons experience will differ depending on one’s attitude and energy being given to the staff. Smiles and kindness goes both ways.

They offer a good range, particularly for those with a budget. They actually looked like a decent furniture place, not like those super cheap Asian furniture warehouse stores.

Bought a super king mattress/base off their website last week during a 50% off sale and they were able to deliver it a couple of days later. The delivery crew were on time, friendly and everything was well wrapped. We had previously bought a queen size mattress/base from them 4-years ago which also went without a hitch, but after the previous owner allowed the company to go into receivership last year I was a bit worried about this latest transaction, but it seems the new owner has things sorted and is committed to getting the brand back on track. Would recommend giving these guys a try as for the price and delivery service, you can’t get much better.

The shop was with customer being dealt with one (Indian) staff. The guy (Chinese) on the counter did not come to attend, went for his lunch break and came back but still did not look towards us although there was no other customers. There were 2 couples who came waited like us but walked out without anyone attending. We sat on sofa for almost 45 min all through the drama. We waited as on our earlier visit we were promised for a good deal being “Queen’s Birthday ” and wanted to close the deal. That guy later came to us after the lady told him. We purchased the bed and mattress. We assembled the bed frame although the nuts were not fitting properly. The next day after complaint 2 guys came and told us that there was a mismatch of frames. They changed the brackets and it was all good. .
The bed and mattress is good now.
So, if you want attention even though no one else is there, bang on something that makes a loud noise .

Ordered a bedframe online. Furniture Now Mt. Roskill did not have the item in stock but still took my money. No email confirmation or anything when I placed the order. I called them to see when I could pick up the item and they said “sorry, we don’t have the item in stock, send me your credit card details and we’ll try to refund you”. I did that and it’s now been over a week with no refund. Their phone number has been disconnected and they took the Mt. Roskill branch off their website. I can only assume they have closed their business with my money so am forced to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Beware, don’t buy anything from their online store. Go into the store to see what they actually have.

I placed an order for an Adele bed frame on May 7th through the click and collect service, but unfortunately, the entire process has been riddled with issues and shortcomings.

First of all, I did not receive any confirmation email or any indication of when I could expect to collect the item. This lack of communication left me uncertain about the status of my order, prompting me to reach out via email. I specifically asked if my order had been received and requested an estimated time for collection, along with a confirmation email. The response I received stated that the bed frame would be available for collection on May 16th, but no confirmation email was ever sent.

When I arrived at the store on May 18th to collect the bed frame, I was dismayed to discover that the hardware and assembly instructions were missing. This oversight not only inconvenienced me but also raised concerns about the quality of service. I contacted the Mt Roskill store again and the response I received stated that the missing hardware would be available on May 30th. I went to collect the hardware on June 6th. However, despite my repeated requests, I still have not received the crucial assembly instructions even a pdf file. This oversight is utterly unacceptable and reflects a severe lack of attention to detail and customer care. How can I be expected to assemble the bed frame properly without the necessary guidance?
Throughout this entire process, I have not received any form of apology or acknowledgment for the inconveniences I have faced. I expect to receive the missing assembly instructions without any further delay. Hopefully you will improve your internal processes and communication channels to ensure such mishaps are not repeated with other customers.

My 3 year old Harvey couch of dreams was ruined with a terrible baking soda stain. The leather colour isn’t produced anymore but Danske Mobler found some leather in the storeroom from the same batch mine was made from. They did an amazing job and I couldn’t be happer with the partial recover of the seat. The upholsters are very skilled and the store woman Elaine was super helpful and fine with my back and forth (I was also dealing with the insurance company). Highly recommend Danske Mobler.

I recently visited to purchase new furniture, and Elaine was incredibly diligent in explaining everything and responding promptly to my email enquirers. She is truly a professional. Additionally, the delivery team was very impressive. It was the first time in New Zealand that I had delivery staff take off their shoes before entering my home. While some staff would comply if asked, most do not. I greatly appreciated this gesture, as I am someone who is extremely particular about keeping my carpet clean. Although I still have to wait a few months for one of my couches to be delivered, the sealy mattress and stressless recliner sofas are extremely comfortable and beautiful.

I bought a dining suite and have been soooo happy with the whole buying experience!! I got a phone call the day after I ordered it online saying it would be delivered in three days time and I was surprised that they could give me such an accurate delivery window of only one hour since most is their competitors will tell you four hours or even more.
It arrived already pre-assembled and the guys that dropped it were just lovely – so professional and set it all up for me.
