My experience at Wairau Rebel Sport was extremely disappointing. The store was completely disorganised — items were hard to find, and there seemed to be no clear layout or order.
When I asked for help, the staff didn’t seem to know where anything was. Instead of assisting me, I was simply told, “If you can’t find it, buy it on our website.” Not only was that unhelpful, but it showed a lack of interest in providing real customer service.
If the store can’t help customers in person, what’s the point of having one?

I went back to the Rebel store and explained the situation to a couple of frontline staff as well as to the manager on duty (Jarome). I was happy to change the crocks with a different style of crocks.
Jarome asked me to go away, clean the shoes to their original condition; and, then only he would exchange them.
I had brought the shoes back on the 10th day of purchase, and wore them twice only for a brief period of time. They caught dust etc which was obvious due to white colour of crocks. However, I had brought them back purely due to health and safety reasons! The manager eventually agreed to send the shoes to the supplier/manufacturer for their review. No exchange were offered.
It was a very bad experience while the store management made it worst!

Went into the Boundary branch henderson met by friendly and knowledgeable staff, explained my needs sizing was great as Sketchers came in half sizes so selecting a pair that fitted was easy!

I was told there was a back log due to the sale after Christmas. When I picked my items up, was told it was the courier’s fault. Either way, I strongly don’t recommend using Click & Collect at Rebel Sport. It shouldn’t take nearly 10 days. Rebel Sport may have good prices but their customer and online service sucks!

us at all. As someone who is a manager at a retail store there was no appropriate protocols followed with security calls. My partner and I had no hoodies , glasses or hats on and instead were in tshirt and shorts. This experience made my partner and I really uncomfortable and instead of buying the items we wanted to walked out and instead will be going to a different rebel sport. Instead being circled like criminals, I would suggest you guys train your staff on customer service and lost prevention instead of making predujice calls.
I’ve been in this store today on my way to Briscoes, just out of curiosity.
I was pleasantly surprised. The shoe isles, all of the isles really, were tidy and looked organised. The store assistants were all around the store packing away goods or organising the products on the shelves.
I’m giving four stars only because I didn’t by anything this time, so I don’t know about the customer experience.
All in all, there have been some changes here for the better. Well done and keep it up!

They don’t have any where near the full range. I’ve been countless times trying to buy a particular pair of shoes, this time was an indoor football boot and they had 4 to choose from and not all of these were my size. I’d rather go to the new market store.
The store seems to focus on clothing rather than sports equipment. Don’t go here if you want cricket gear, worst selection, or shoes.

I spoke to a team member near the counter, who communicated through her headset to request both sizes 8 and 9. After a delay, she decided to check the storage area herself and asked someone else to assist in retrieving the sizes.
By the time they returned (well past 7pm and technically after closing), they had only brought out size 9. I reminded them I had requested both sizes. The staff then informed me they couldn’t go back to get the size 8 because the store was now closed and they would need manager approval, which honestly felt like a convenient excuse not to help further.
I explained again that I live in West Auckland and had made a specific trip, so it was disappointing that they weren’t willing to accommodate. The overall attitude was far from helpful.
Just as we were leaving, I spotted the same staff member I had initially spoken to, and fortunately she was with the store manager. She asked two other team members to retrieve the size 8, which they finally did after I tried asking them first.
In the end, I got the shoes that I wanted, but the experience left a really sour impression. It felt like the team weren’t interested in helping me make a purchase. I left feeling more like a burden than a valued customer.
I waited for another 20mins for the “manager” to get back from her break. This so called manager Amy came back with an attitude. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I specifically told her I wanna refund and rebuy the same pair as they have a further 20% off deal right now. She proceeded the refund and afterwards she refused to sell me again straight away, she made some excuses and said I need to come back for it tomorrow?!
I could tell that she was trying to make my request difficult on purpose.
It’s a shame that company has such bad after-sale service and put this kind of person on manager position! Managers are supposed to help customers to solve the problem not to make one!
